Action packed story line that is never drug out. I watch Fear the Walking Dead and the story line puts me to sleep at times. Not for the Last Ship! The character's are a little simplistic, but the overall story is complex and always moving. I like the international scope of this season and the political intrigue. Great show that always delivers and will keep me watching for the next two seasons

I was afraid that Last Ship would be a one-season flick (like Helix) and the formula will get dry very fast. It doesn't. While it's on many occasions almost funny, when it tries to be serious, there were many moments during these 3 season in which I nodded at the story's progression. Overally it's smart and gives the feeling that even when you do everything right, there are forces bigger than you and far more sinister. And by sinister I mean power-greedy politicians or army men. I enjoy watching this series and while I will not get back to it, I will be following it for sure for at least another season.

I like The Last Ship. There I've said it, it's always enjoyable in a 80's America vs. The World sort of way, it's rah rah middle of the summer TV downtime fun every Sunday night. I hope they keep making these every summer into the foreseeable future.

Started really good the first season and then the quality started to go down hill. In season 3---> -The characters are kind of cartoonish. -The lines spoken are not that good. -The Captain became very weird acting that does not suit his character that we where familiar with. -The whole idea that burning bodies for "energy" is PURE Bull'SH'T because its not accurate through physics nor biologically.

They decided to get rid of a handful of the characters in a callous disregard for the viewer. Not even bothering to write the characters as caring (with one notable exception). Fight scenes are a complete 180 from the previous two seasons, with fully automatic fire between two groups at 60 yards, miss more often than hit anything. Clearly this show has had it's budget slashed and the showrunner is just phoning it in.

Awful season. The Chinese were made to look like idiots. I understand the need to form a "new big bad wolf", but at least find some actors/actresses who actually speak the language. I can now relate to how ridiculous the Chinese anti-Japanese soap series look to Japanese people. The plot is laughable as well. Did the previous writing crew resign and was replaced with a bunch of morons? Did funding for the show dissipate such that the effects now look terrible? Apart from the captain and some of his crew, the acting is incredibly bad. I cannot believe this happened.
