This show is simply awful, the main character is so reserved as to be insulting to the audience, I made it tho and a half episodes being bored and annoyed before I decided this was yet another better forgotten SW offering. My ranking still stands Star Wars, Empire, Rogue One, Andor, The Mandalorian and Solo, nothing else is worth a first watch. I don't go in for the animated stuff, at all, not even once. Ahsoka was upsetting seeing in how with all the resources and cast, they could have done it well, but lack of imagination, and talent doomed it. Blech.

While iv'e enjoyed seasons past, including the animated bit they put out that one year, after watching an episode and a half of this last season 3 a couple things became clear, there are too many subplots/charecters to the point that I simply tune out all the names and don't care, focussing instead on the main three, and lastly that I'm bored. It's become something tiresome, and I shut it off after a couple episodes, maybe I'll revisit, probably not.

This show was better than it had any right to be, I mean I've seen dozens of time travel shows before, and by all intents and purposes this just looked like just another stylized British also ran series, but it's actually really well made, the story is surprisingly good, the cast is top notch, the goofy is actually funny. Blew thru the first season in a day, can't wait til the second comes out. I enjoyed this thoroughly.

You know, the last scene of the first episode where Barry goes mcahine mode and just headshots the thugs on the street hooked me, but to be painfully honest, it's never gotten as good as that since. All the Hollywood inside baseball stuff is interesting but just that and nothing more, the cast is outstanding but the writting and story have left me cold more often than not. I'm not seeing the deeper meaning here, and the pyrotechnics are few and far between. I give Barry a meh out of 10.

I liked this first season immensely, even though, and I grant, there are some situations they have had to have gotten wrong, and make my eyes roll. I liked it much more than I didn't, and it kept me interested until the last episode. I hope they bring this back for a second season. I've suffered, and ended early, many much worse productions over the past couple years, and this was an easy watch.

Man I love this show so much. When I first heard about a Perry Mason origin series with Robert Downey Jr, I was like ok, I will for sure check this out. Not knowing anything about the original TV series, at all. Then I heard the guy from The Americans, another show I tried to watch but never got into, was replacing RDJ, I thought well I'm probably not going to watch this either. Then I saw the first episode last year, and this show is doing Raymond Chalder esque Los Angeles film noir hard boiled detective fiction right. It's beautifully shot by people who get the genre and the city, it's just so damn good. This first ep of the second season takes up where the last left off, and I'm so looking foward to this bit of heaven on Monday nights for the next few months. What a treat!

Andor is Epic in both scope and depth in what Star Wars always was down deep at it's core. Before this show I ranked the Star Wars universe: Star Wars (no i won't ever be calling it that other thing), Empire Strikes Back, Rogue One, then The Mandalorian. Episode 8 of Andor, was one of the most astounding, unexpected hours of television I've ever watched in my life.

No, this wasn't the western I've been waiting for. Casting, and cinematopgraphy are topest of top notch, but where this show fails is it's direction. The production got too cute by half in it's constant use of riddle speech, and the "wait it will ball be fleshed out before it ends" style of story telling, after the first thee episodes it became so annoying as to distract. I couldn't read any of the actors faces for what they meant when they were talking, lot's of confusing charecter choice which never really made sense. I was left with the feeling of what could have been, and grateful it was finally over.

In this day and age, if you open a vampire show with a scene showing a vampire who's never experienced a sunrise, standing in the middle of an open area, unprotected in any way, just waiting to be fried, and of course gets fried, I'm going to take a very dim view of the minds behind the entire enterprise. Took me about 10 minutes after that to say, nah, and shut it off.

I'm a **** for period piece edutainment, and knowing nothing about this period of time in France/Italy/et all, seeing Charles Dance pull off a particularly naughty Pope was really great. I get that's it's an "authentic" cinema verite type of behind the scenes look at culinary art & kitchen chef culture placed in a type of chicago italian beef sandwich shop you wouldn't typically think would have this sort of structure, but it's just not interesting enough to keep my attention for a 10 episode season. If you love The Godfather, and are a person of a certain age, watching this behind the scenes, making of, docu-comedy-drama of the process with all the hollywood/corporate, political, social, and actual mafioso scuttlebutt is pure pleasure. Not sure what the "experts" were watching to give it such a low score, but after 3 episodes, I'm delighted and can't wait for the rest. Everyone is really well cast except Juno Temple, who I could do with less of, and is completely out of her element here.

Then after the season ended, and I saw all the scores staying high, I was bored and decided why not. This show is so full of intersting paralels with work, corporatism, capitalism, religion, self help, socializing, community, family, it just gets deeper and deeper the longer it goes. I give it a 6 because the production value is off the charts, but the acting is wooden, and the fight choreography is insulting. I mean they had a sure fire hit, if they simply stuck with what worked on The Mandalorian, but the lackadaisical editing can't save Temuera Morrison from the goddawful direction.
