L'histoire est captivante, du vrai Star Trek comme on aime. Un classique que je réécoute souvent.

Iremember when this came out. Out of all my friends I was the only one that really enjoyed it. There were a few that liked it but felt it wasn't truly Star Trek. In a way they are right. This was way before the pedigree of Starfleet and its alliances. This was its start into the unknown. It does get better with the Orb Builders season but I actually enjoyed it all. You are the first to be out there, always out gunned, out maneuvered, and always at a disadvantage as almost all the species you've met have been out there longer than you. Some of the casting **** the best. Personally I wasn't a fan of Scott Bakula being the captain and always thought of that being a huge mistake. I also dont think the casting for Malcolm and Trip was the best either. I think if they spent a little more getting two better actors instead of paying premium for Scott Bakula I think it would have been better. Excellent choice on Jeffrey Combs as one of the lead roles for one of the primary reoccurring alien roles. Jeffrey Combs helped save this showon more than one occasion nailing his role.

iA very decent show. The characters are very loveable, the scripts are good. Imho it got so much hate because they tried some creative fanservice that noone really dared before, messing a bit with the cannons in the process . It's noteable that the other ST material are always scared to do that, exporting the action into some new quadrants or alternative present or the future and shyt. Which Enterprise ended up doing anyway in 3rd and 4th seasons.. A pityful shame when anything creative gets backlashed because of.. what, fanatism ? It's all fiction and entertainment folks.. Personnally i loved the various references to the lore, at least it proves that the creators actually watched the other shows and tried to fill gaps. A must watch for (reasonable) trekkies

Unable to find its own voice due to its replication of established Trek, “Enterprise” chooses to keep things superficial, often sacrificing deeper narrative for action and opting for triviality by doing so. These filming issues may occur when spineless producers and executives get cold feet regarding Art in a franchise that may no longer turn a profit (“Star Trek: Voyager” was declining at this time). As a result, creator and director agency flies out the window while squeamish, paltry writing sets in. Directorial decisions made under this duress often result in horribly bad plot and character design choices, such as Captain Archer’s “whatever it takes” attitude, a devolution of the wonderful “cowboy diplomacy” of Kirk, the former leaving the audience with a bad taste in their mouths. Furthermore, Enterprise completely betrays Trekkies’ understanding of Vulcans and their truly… fascinating… unemotional nature, devolving them into emotional and illogical in their behavior. Whether these choices were made with writer freedom or not, they fail to improve on past Star Trek iterations or leave any wisdom or moral in the viewer. Unable to incarnate any memorable characters, such as the majesty and masculine leadership of Picard, the positivity and selflessness of Janeway or the heartfelt determination of Sisko, I struggle to remember the names of this Enterprise crew; they fail to leave a lasting impression or inspire me. However, "Enterprise" IS still legitimate Star Trek. In keeping with its legacy, "Enterprise" attempts to address current themes in culture and society, and does so over the course of four seasons. Sadly, its underwhelming and unengaging subject matter is hardly ideal for non-Trekkies, leaving the show squarely in fan territory alone.

Butchered by hateful management from the studio suits, this great show ended way before it's time. Yes, there are flaws, but they are in every Star Trek show (Tuvix, anyone?), but I overall enjoyed my ride with Archer and his Crew. The last Star Trek adventure deserving the name "Trek".

I am a Star Trek Fan and of course I like this show: its classic with exploring new worlds and the setting in the beginning of exploration of the universe is also interesting.
Star Trek always had the problem of being political correct and here are no exceptions. But it doesnt play a big role.
Scott Bakula acts convincing, John Billingsley as Dr. Phlox is sympathetic, but the others are just ok.
Although the best parts are season 3 and 4, I like the 1st and 2nd season also. It is well known, that this series was shut down too early :(

Well written TV series on the early Enterprise missions. Nicely done and well worth watching again.

I watched this only because it was Trek and I wanted to see what it was about. However, it was all wrong wrong wrong. It ignored previous canon by introducing the Borg (again?), amongst others. Aside from the fact that the entire series was a cheese-fest... the theme tune: Holy F**K! It is like a **** 1980s power ballad/bad Kenny Loggins song. Where have the French horns gone? Where went the majesty of the great Trek theme tunes? I couldn't like it at all and, despite me having watched all previous Trek series' several times, this one will not get another outing.

Ugh. I just can't, with this show. Because it's Trek, I binged through it all, but it was a struggle, at times. They eventually added some decent depth to some characters, but there were so very many attempts at fan service that fell flat. And the theme song makes me want to gouge my ears out.

Show that could have done whatever it wanted but instead chose to stick to the cannonand and whatt we know about Star trek then telling great stories. Enterprise has a bit of a rough starts but really gets going as the seasons go on that puts a lot of emphasis on character building and growing the understanding of the characters unlike Star trek Discovery as an example where the characters seem to just be the smartest people ever instantly with no work ro real character building

The last good Star Trek series. I'd much rather have had more seasons of this than the follow ups.

It is definitely underrated and many fans have even forgotten that this show existed. After Voyager ended a new Star Trek show was green-lighted. They chose the idea of a prequel. It is the story of the first human spaceship that sets out to explore the realm outside of our solar system. It is set 90 years after the first contact with the Vulcans. The Vulcans wanted to protect and guide mankind because they though they were not read for space exploration yet (I think they were at least partly correct). This lead of cause to some animosity. Everything is new here. Shields were not properly inveted by humans, warp 5 is fast, phasers are called phaser pistols, universal translators are unreliable, other species are unknown outside of data files for humanity, teleportation is new and not trusted. Many concepts like red alert or the prime directive do not exist and there is no Federation yet. It is a fresh and new setting. For me there are however some problems with this. As fan I know the basic history of the Federation and Earth. This takes away some tension and I can foresee events and predict some outcomes. Then there is the crew. I say they chose a good crew that is a bit to unremarkable. Before you get angry ask yourself: “Is there anyone who you would choose as best Star Trek captain, doctor, engineer or officer from this show?” No and I have yet to find anyone that does. Again that means not that they are bad. Lets start with the crew. Scott Bakula is an excellent actor and I enjoyed Quantum Leap. He is good as captain Archer but nothing special. Ask a fan who is the best Star Trek captain and say it is Archer and you will see disbelieve because they never considered it even as an option (Sisko by the way for me). Jolene Blalock as T’Pol is my favorite character and her arcs are interesting. Dominic Keating as Malcom Reed is underused and sometimes a bit uninteresting. John Bilingsley as Dr. Phlox is my other favorite. He is interesting character wise and has often good roles in the stories. Linda Park as Hoshi Sato has her moments in the show and won me over but I will say they could have done more with her. Connor Trinneer as Trip is my third favorite character here. I must admit that he can be annoying sometimes. The story lines are great. You can see the first glimpses of the Federation, a cold war story-line (not that one), the Xindi arc, the Sulibans struggles and some fanservies or should I say Easter eggs. Also you see some relations of the alien races that are rocky. Like the Vulcans and Andorians being at each others throats. Everything is new here as each encounter is a first contact. There are also some social themes like xenophobia or what course should humanity set. There are also different philosophies in alien cultures that differ from later shows. I will get into some spoiler free details in my reviews for the seasons. Season 1 was a mixed bag for me, season 2 was a lot better, season 3 was really good and season 4 was relatively good except the final episode. Overall a solid show but it did not reach full potential or earned enough fan acclaim.

Unlike Star Trek Discovery, Star Trek Enterprise is a fun prequel with decent episodes. It deals with the crew of an experimental starship in the 22nd century, a century before the adventures of Captain Kirk, Mr Spock and Dr McCoy. The flaws of this crew are refreshing yet they remain quite likeable throughout, never becoming **** like the characters of Star Trek Discovery. CBS CEO Les Moonves cancelled Star Trek Enterprise after its 4th season but the 4 seasons that did get made, hold a lot of promise and you might find yourself wanting more after the penultimate episode.
