A survival drama, Squid Game shows why its first season took a decade to plan, whereas the rushed rest adds almost nothing to the plot.

An incredibly original critique of the reality show genre in which participants have no idea that elimination in a game translates into death. Great character development and unexpected plot twists.

I don’t know what to say; the idea is cool and the creators obviously had a lot of fun, but the more I watch, the more boring it gets. One of the best things about this show is the acting; they did a great job

1 Season: Peak
2 Season: Peak

It's a decent tv-show, but it's not without its problems. It's definitely worth watching, and not just because of the hype. This tv-show has its own merits.

Jogaram tudo no lixo. A terceira temporada foi a pior que já vi: nada faz sentido e o final consegue ser ainda pior.

Very good show, but the ending didn't needed a cliff hanger for a 2nd season. The show is good by itself & complete. Again, it didn't need the show to be milked & forced a 2nd season.

Squid Game started strong in Season 1 with its unique idea and intense, suspenseful games that grabbed my attention right away. The mix of action and social themes made it really interesting. Season 2 expanded the story and characters but felt a bit slow and sometimes dragged on. Season 3 wrapped things up with some exciting new games and focused more on character development, especially Gi-hun’s story. I liked the ending hinting that the games might continue in the U.S., which was a cool surprise. While the series had some moments that didn’t fully work and pacing issues, overall it was an enjoyable and thrilling watch—definitely worth seeing, but not perfect.

A Different style of visual art blended with emotional and psychologicalimagery.

My god the laat 2 seasons were so bad that you forget the first season. How can writers and publishers do this to us. Its Prison Break all over again. The first season was great and everything after that is garbage. Bad acting, a very draining story and endless unrealistic behavior by the characters. Wow, they just hit ever wrong button. If there will ever be anew season, I will quit Netflix.

Squid Game Season 3 closes the series with a blend of visceral spectacle and emotional weight, reaffirming the franchise’s strengths while also exposing its limits. The games themselves are inventive and tense, showcasing Hwang Dong-hyuk’s ability to marry shocking brutality with striking visual storytelling, but the expanded focus on worldbuilding—particularly the guards and VIPs—feels uneven and distracts from the central drama. Still, Gi-hun’s arc grounds the chaos with genuine poignancy, and standout episodes deliver the kind of moral tension that made the series a global phenomenon. Though not flawless, Season 3 remains a bold, memorable finale that cements Squid Game as one of the most impactful shows of its era.

Squid Game as a whole starts with something truly solid—Season 1 hit hard emotionally, had layered characters, and gave you real things to think about, from economic desperation to how far people will go when pushed. But after that, it slowly falls apart. Season 2 felt like more of the same, just messier. The games were still intense, but Gi-hun’s choices didn’t make sense, and too many characters were thrown in with not enough depth. Then Season 3 comes along and proves they ran out of ideas. It had emotional moments, sure—but most of the writing felt lazy, rushed, or flat-out wrong. Characters you care about die in ways that don’t fit their arc, and some scenes are so unrealistic or badly handled that it take you out of it. Overall, it started as something with purpose and turned into a show that kept going just because it was popular—not because it still had something real to say.

When the first season was released, the show instantly gained worldwide popularity — a massive fanbase, tons of merchandise, countless memes and discussions online, and of course, plenty of theories about the possible fate of the main character in what was then an unconfirmed second season.
The first season turned out to be the most successful. At the time, the concept of deadly games felt fresh, and the characters were interesting enough to make you genuinely care about what would happen next.
However, the main issue with the series is the protagonist. Gi-hun is filled with an almost absurd sense of justice and righteousness, which feels incredibly out of place given the horrific conditions of the games. His friend seemed like the most reasonable character — a realist who acted according to the situation. But Gi-hun just couldn’t understand that, which makes him feel less like a grown man living in poverty and more like a naive child who refuses to change.

Squid Game started as a gut punch. Its first season shocked audiences with an explosive mix of violence, social critique, and characters as extreme as they were relatable. Beyond the morbid appeal of deadly trials, what really gripped viewers was how it spoke of debt, desperation, and humanity. It wasn’t just entertainment; it was a wake-up call disguised as a spectacle.Season two chose to expand the universe, introducing new settings and more layers around the system behind the games. It lost some of the surprise factor, sure, but made up for it with a more ambitious plot and even more elaborate visuals. Some narrative decisions were debatable, but the show remained addictive, unsettling, and at times, **** third season brought a powerful close. It was rawer, more introspective, and unafraid to make viewers uncomfortable. While some felt the freshness had faded, this final act managed to land with intelligence and an even darker view of human nature. The writing dove deep into the psychology of the characters, without holding back. What makes Squid Game remarkable is that even in its weaker moments, it maintains a consistent tone and message. The violence isn’t gratuitous—it's brutal, yes, but always purposeful. The aesthetics serve the narrative. Every shot, uniform, and silence carries meaning. That consistency is one of the show’s greatest **** a trilogy, it works. Not every part hits the same, but together, the show holds weight, a clear voice, and a message that stings. Watching the full arc, you begin to understand what the creator meant all along: that the game isn’t fiction, but a painfully close **** short, Squid Game hasn’t just been a global hit—it’s one of the boldest, most coherent, and provocative series television has seen in years. The initial shock may not return, but the aftertaste it leaves is lasting, uncomfortable, and hard to shake.

You know when you start great with Season 1, fall off at Season 2, but then kinda redeem the show in Season 3". I feel kinda **** let me in this review rate all the Seasons here once and for all. Season 1 is a 9/10, utterly close to perfection.
Season 2 is a 6/10, just barely entertaining.
and finally Season 3: Is a 7/10, logically flawed in so many scenes. Add all of that up, do some quick math, and you'll understand that the entire show is a 7/10. The show overall isn't bad, far from it, it just struggles with a lot of slow drama, stupid logic, and stupid side plots that could be removed entirely. And since you wanted to focus a chunk of time focusing on a Trans character and their STRUGGLE, I should automatically -1 point and make this show a 6/10. But why don't I? Because how the show ends is quite good, it leaves something for all of us, and so I shall retain he 7/10 and recommend this to someone who enjoys K-dramas with some spicy story.

I would rather drink cyanide than watch this again. This show was absolute TRASH. They found a way to ruin the entire franchise and pander to Americans. We already have our psychopath Pedos, we don’t need our own documentary. Don’t waste your time or give Netflix more money for this crap. I will never watch anything Korean again. Same goes for buying any of their crap.

Squid Game is not perfect, simply unique; It has a fast-paced and intriguing storytelling combined with a truly creative topic.

The fast-paced and intriguing style combined with a creative topic is what makes this series truly enjoyable. It's extreme popularity since the day it's been out has resulted in a ridiculously high expectation by watchers and I believe this attitude is the reason why minor confusions or dissatisfactions are expressed in such harshly and uncomplimentarly ways.

This is just cringe parade! All characters are so simple and stupid with a complete lack of survival instinct and logical thinking. Writing is mediocre and terrifyingly stupid

The worst season ever of squid game. SPOILER: Every character and emotion developed on season 2 that freshly was emotive and entertain this season scrapped everthing. Characters that go good transform to villain every second. I'm confused, I don't even know if they're good or bad villains, and let's not even talk about the characters' hallucinations that make them make the worst decisions, the hallucinations made them think about their loved ones nananana, ok we know you have hallucinations but why, whyyyy u influence ur hallucinations on the worst parts, let me explain, u have a decision to save a person but instead a hallucination appear and you tell yourself to kill ur partner because yes the serie decided, who in the world would do something stupid like that, nothing like that has happened in any season but in this one for some reason stupid things happen., story unfinished and cgi horrible . Characters having crazy idiot decisions, and our protagonist Seong GI-gun being not our protagonist this season to much..... instead a **** kid that borns on the island is a protagonist and his dad being good in season 2 but bad on season 3 because the money???? That dad in season 2 was the goat but in this season he transformed bad and good person like more than 5 times not joking. I dont have words EVERTHING ABOUT THIS SEASON IS BAD, believe me when I told you that I love season 1 and 2 of squid game but sorry this season is the ****. I'm so disappointed that all the stories from seasons 1 and 2 were scrapped just like that because netflix want to do a cringe kids universe of squid game around the world and gain more money. I don't feel like Squid Game will ever be what it was when it came out with an original script and well-developed characters. If someone from IGN or a big company tells you this season is 90+, believe me, Netflix paid a lot for it to have those ratings. This season is a 1/10 score because this score the seasonand the future of the serie 0/10, we can call squid game the new mcu of ****. If no one cares about this ranking believe me compare every season of squid game and compare everthing and also look at the ratings that are paid by netflix. THANK YOU FOR READING

Genuinely addictive my friend told me about this series and said I should watch it as it is addictive but I refused saying it would be too violent for me. I was correct it was violent but they was also correct saying it was addictive so Its a win win can't wait for season 3.

This series broke me so emotionally. The characters are so realistic that they are people you could meet in real life. The children's games are also exciting and frightening, and the games also have something disturbing about them. Just watch the series, a Netflix subscription is simply worth it.

If subtitles bother you, this series can be a tough watch, but I personally loved the first season so much that it didn't matter what language it was in. The plot is intensely captivating and I wanted more when the first season was over.

Season 1 = solid 8: well executed on deadly gameshow. Rememberable characters and song. Great artsylen and setups.
Season 2 = cash grab, gladly director being honest on this

There is nothing else like it at the moment, and the themes seem even more topically relevant today than they did back in 2021 for S1. Some pacing issues and a few clunky plot elements, but ultimately, it is a solid continuation of Gi-Hun's story with some intriguing new wrinkles to the previous formula. While some will wish for a bigger swing creatively (which will likely come in the planned spin-off series), I found myself eagerly anticipating each episode and disappointed only by the abrupt cliffhanger ending. Let's hope the wait for the conclusion isn't long.

Season 1 was really good, season 2 has some great episodes but then falls into this chasm of trying too hard with silly characters and jokes. It tries to keep you engaged with comedy rather than suspense which detracts from the eerie quality of the first season.Season 3 runs out of ideas and recycles tropes and has a bad ending. Overall season1 is the only remarkablebone and the other two bring dow the score to 7/10.

A lot of this season seems like a rehash of the first, with a lot of the predictability. What parts that do keep you gripped feel unresolved and bait to make sure you come back for the final outing.

They’re one of those series that you simply watch all day until suddenly you finish it, you feel all kinds of emotions when you watch it, it’s very well done.
