Hugely entertaining...Among the new spring series I've seen, Sliders stands out as the most enjoyable. "What-might-have-been" is usually a pointless exercise, but here it makes for some rousing entertainment.

It's a bit of throwback, which makes it sort of a time trip in itself. A fun ride. [21 March 1995, p.7F]

The drama is sci-fi lite, rendered with gee-whiz energy and a sense of levity. And it's frivolous and under-imagined.

Though O’Connell’s Mallory is fun to watch, he too often mirrors a college-age Marty McFly. And with the addition of his physics professor (John Rhys-Davies) to the team of sliders, the show takes on strains of a “Back to the Future” rehash.

Maybe if you're 15, living in mom's basement and obsessed with wormholes, you'll find a laugh or two in the scenario. As for me, I was checking the press release to see if tonight's pilot was really two hours long. It is.

While Sliders did have some flaws, it was still one of my favourite TV shows, however, the ending didn't make that much sense to me. It is a great show to watch if you can get into it's style of killing off the main characters.

I'm personally a fan of science fiction, especially topics like this. The first episodes are entertaining and watchable with a variety of topics but after a while it becomes a bit boring but in any case who loves science fiction will not regret it.
