Love, Death & Robots

Volume 4 of Love, Death & Robots again makes tremendous use of its anthology form, allowing space for left-field thematic choices and story adaptations, a rich palette of animation styles, and a streak of mischievousness that keeps the whole thing consistently interesting.

Volume 4 of Love, Death and Robots continues to platform creative and innovative animation and storytelling, its short-form anthology nature a strength rather than a hindrance.

Delivering bleakness and black comedy in distilled form via stories that rarely last more than fifteen minutes, it’s like Black Mirror for the ADD-addled video game crowd. ... Love, Death & Robots is at its finest when it’s short, sweet and satirically nasty.

Though its narrative reach and explorative curiosity have been lessened, “Love, Death + Robots” still makes for a tremendously entertaining watch, albeit a very, very short one.

There’s a slight widening of the show’s scope, even with 10 fewer shorts to consider and a bit of the show’s earlier DNA still intact.

While many of the entries here fall into an inter-zone of “meh, OK then” mediocrity, there are a handful of highlights as well.

While there’s a lot to admire in the visuals ... the stories themselves are treated like an afterthought, and that colors everything an ugly shade of gray.

i love the part when he turned into a robot like i thought he wasa human and then he said he was a robot and i was like how the title of the show love death and robots like whaaaaat? idk man id def watch this episode again it was teeeeeeeew cold

Un poco muy **** la rewiev :) Esta serie me sorprendió bastante, no tenia ni la menor idea de que se trataba. Cada episodio cuenta una historia unica de unos 25 minutos, tiene diferentes capitulos como de dibujo, otro con CGI, vida real, etc. Cada historia tiene un trasfondo diferente y lo que mas me gusta es que podes ver algunos capitulos randoms y entretenerte, si no te gusta alguno lo salteas y ves el próximo. Mis favoritos fueron el primero, el de la ciudad mini (la de zombies y cuando estan en la heladera), la abuela que pelea contra el robot y el mundo de hielo. Mi problema con esta serie es que no sigue una "linea recta". Sí, tiene muchas historias muy buenas pero no un "sentido" y eso no es de mi total agrado. Creo que hay muchos capitulos de rellenos con historias medio mediocres (comparadas a otras) las cuales arruinan un poco todo. Podría mejorar en muchos aspectos por eso le doy un 6. Si queres ver algo por que estas REALMENTE aburrido te podes ver alguno de los mejores episodios (los que mas te gusten).

It is great that Netflix made this show possible but as it is often the case with anthologies, there are some hits and some misses, and a lot of stuff in-between.

Hugely overrated animated series written I'm guessing by teenage boys for the amusement of teenage boys. The pointless soft porn kinda gives that away. Stories range from OK to rubbish. The animation is just about video game standard at best. Weak sauce

While the animation - for the most part - is pretty good, the quality of the stories goes from decent to utter trash: predictable outcome, plain nonsense and plotholes ruined the majority of these episodes for me.
