LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy is a lot of fun. Season 1 - 8/10: The writing is not perfect, but it's not like I ever expected it to be. The characters are fun and the themes are great. Dev gets a little annoying by the end, but Sig, Servo and Jedi Bob are great original characters (I know Jedi Bob existed before, but not like this). Though the best aspect of the writing is how they managed to twist existing characters. Palpatine, Vader, Maul are extremely fun and Darth Jar Jar? Are you kidding me? The dialogues are very expository, which threw me out at times. The directing is good, this is well-put together and the cinematography is pretty good as well. The editing resembles the style of the original trilogy, which is loved. The sound design is great and they also used some iconic effects. The score is absolutely worthy of Star Wars. Michael Kramer has done a fantastic job at mixing original score with John Williams' iconic themes. The cast is pretty insane for a LEGO series that only a few hardcore fans watch. The voice acting performances are all solid, but Sam Witwer should get awards for his line deliveries. Season 2 - 7/10: The writing has even more exposition here. The first two episodes were on the same level as the best parts of season one, but the two latter episodes were quite boring to me. The visuals are still good, but I felt like this season was even more stop motion-like. I wonder if this was on purpose or maybe they worked with less than 24 frames per second. The score is still as good, Michael Kramer should work on bigger projects in the franchise. The cast is still great and they even added some new members who I was excited to hear again. LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy is a lot of fun, but I think they should not continue it.

There’s something magical about the LEGO universe colliding with Star Wars. Instead of taking itself too seriously, this special embraces chaos, absurd humor, and genuine love for the saga—with more than satisfying results. Rebuild the Galaxy doesn’t aim to add major layers to canon, but it offers an unpredictable and shamelessly fun journey that any fan can enjoy—especially if they accept the rules of the game from the **** animation remains polished, with that clay-like digital style where every explosion becomes a visual joke. But what really stands out here is the pace: fast, packed with gags, meta references, and winks that prove the creators truly know the universe they’re parodying.Despite its light tone, it throws in some clever ideas about the multiverse, handled with both silliness and a surprisingly coherent structure (even if it’s a brick-hammered one). And while the target is clearly kids, adult Star Wars fans will catch jokes made just for **** everything hits equally—some parts might feel repetitive—but overall, it’s refreshing to see such a monumental saga laughing at itself. Rebuild the Galaxy is, like the best LEGO builds, a fun mess that suddenly makes sense just when you think it's lost.
