iZombie remains one of the most sharply written, well-acted, beautifully shot and emotionally resonant shows on all of television.

iZombie, inspired by a comic book series, cares as much about its post-life characters as it does its pre-dead ones. And though it may serve up brains in a variety of ways, it never loses its heart.

This is the best season of the whole series so far. The writing and story in this season is funny and the most interesting out of all the seasons so far. The cast all give stupendous acting performances especially Rose McIver, Alyson Michalka, Malcolm Goodwin, Robert Buckley, David Anders, Rahul Kohli, Robert Knepper, and Bryce Hodgson. A+.

Despite having a strong first and second season, the third falls short. This is part appears to have occurred due to limited number of episodes allocated to enable an effective storyline . Season two ended with an intense narrative where we were about to be introduced to a zombie organisation and get some real action, only to have the mediocre and divisive plot lines of our characters take the lead. The overall arc of the season took too long to appear and by the time it did, it was the finale. Of course we had our zombie detective tackle her everyday life and her allies helped along the way, but the repetitive story lines came across somewhat childish and bland. It’s good to keep in touch with the originality of the series but we’re beyond that being the essence and driving force of everything now. Hopefully the renewed season four can up the pace, get the story rolling from day one, and ignore the average plots.

The whole gang finally knows everything about Liv, brains, and the undead as a whole, and man oh man is iZombie soooo much better as a result. ... There’s still arguably too much going on, though, even if the pieces are more unified.

Despite the show's adorable characters, the story seems so clichéd and repetitive. People desperately want a fresh take on zombies, but I think it's time we settle down and start creating more original stuff.
