It’s difficult to think of any film that speaks to our moment as strikingly as this documentary does, a quality evident early on. ... [Scenes of men's] complaints about, for instance, the pain of having to listen regularly to a woman’s voice are in their hellish way priceless and not to be missed. The same goes for all four hours of this never less than mesmerizing film.

Love her or hate her, one thing we can agree on is that she’s essential to telling the story of world politics in the last half-century. And “Hillary” is the most accomplished version of her story so far.

I guarantee you the overwhelming majority of these negative user reviews came from people who never watched any of this excellent 4-part documentary series. They are likely the same fools ignoring social distancing and wearing no masks.

I didn't really know about her very much but I was aware that she has been smeared by people that dont like her. This 4 part documentary really helped me understand her circumstances. Opposition keeps on tarnishing her and she was still trying to make the world a better place

Hillary gives viewers the chance to go beyond soundbites and stereotypes, if they dare.

There are very few facts in "Hillary" that other documentaries, whether solid or entirely unreliable, haven't covered in some fashion. But what Burstein offers that previous works don't is an emotional journey through Clinton's life in her words and those of her family and friends, some 45 of them (including Barack Obama, her main Democratic rival in the 2008 election) and not all of them entirely without criticism.

It’s remarkably in-depth and at times revelatory, but a couple of missteps keep it from being truly insightful.

As a whole, “Hillary” is a fittingly messy, compelling portrait of an equally messy, compelling person with some moments that will no doubt provide even more fodder for the endless speculation about her private thoughts and motivations. But it could have been so much more.

Inspiring and informative, the four-part documentary tells the story of one of the most remarkable figures in U.S. history. It’s an enjoyable, well-strung together watch that expertly summarizes Hillary’s legacy and humanizes her experiences. It makes you angry again about the devastating 2016 election, and proves our country truly missed out on having her as our president.

This is so **** charged to ever be viewed objectively. I am a generally very liberal thinker and idealist, so this isn't coming from a place of Trump love or other BS. We should not be aggrandizing people who are CERTAINLY responsible for awful things so recently in media. I can'g give this a good review because if a documentary that was identical to this one were to come out about a more right leaning thinker, it would likely be panned by critics. Critics seem to all think "oh wow, how strong and complex this compelling character is" for any liberal and "this person is no better than a monster, any good they've done is negated by the horror they've srought" for any conservative. The negative reviews will balance out the positive for perhaps a realistic portrayal of the work's quality. As a documentary it isnt a horrific work. As a piece of ideology or serious political opinion, it is an abomination. I will start taking these works seriously when I see a more egalitarian time arise in our reviewers regarding political pieces. I may be a liberal, but I'm no coward. Only a coward wants their opposition stifled. They fear they will have to use logic and rational to defend their point. Unfortunately most loud Trump detractors, Hilary supporters (and to be fair, conservative Trump lovers) fall under that category. Hilary Clinton is not a person to be celebrated...just like her husband, the Bush family, and any other partisan political family or entity. I give it a 4 because as a documentary it isn't bad work. I knock off 2 points because of the biased subject matter, the blatant manipulation of the viewer, and the subject. I harbor no amger like most of the user reviews do, just a disappointment with the reviewers and America as a whole.

Here's the thing... Hillary is legitimately a bad person, but almost every politician is a bad person, is she any worse than others? No, but she gets more hate because she is a woman, which is b/s. This documentary is massive centrist propaganda. She's trying to protect her legacy before the system completely crashes, its understandable, but this doc is garbage.

Nothing but the same regurgitated **** but in documentary form. So disingenuous, that most mainstream publications rate is so well says so much.
