High School Musical

Good first movie. Unnecessary latino song redacts one point; Troy and Gabriella's relationship redacts one point; and the alright plot gives it one point. All in all, High School Musical gets a 7/10 from me.

This movie is pretty cheesy but has some heart and incredibly catchy songs that almost save it from mediocrity.

Well I don't like musicals and you may ask why I watched the movie. My friends told me it was a classic from my childhood so I thought I'd give it a try. I had never seen this movie before. The movie doesn't keep you waiting for long and right at the beginning we have a song. The main character meets a girl and in a nutshell you can pretty much see how it's going to turn out. So the story is pretty much nothing and I personally wouldn't rate the songs because I just don't like them. Not to just swear at the film, I praise the school setting nicely, which has a nice atmosphere. To make a long story short. If you love musicals, you'll probably be satisfied. If, on the other hand, you hate them, like me, you'd better avoid the movie. It doesn't give you a proper story and draws mostly from the songs. For me, an average film that I recommend only to fans of musicals.
