Happy's Place

Definitely a step-up from what it did last year. It shows off a cast that's more comfortable with their characters and sets up a better future for the show.

The show doesn’t try to go for cheap gags but instead roots all of its comedy in the characters and the found family that populates Happy’s Place (the bar as well as the series). That continues in the second season, with a couple of twists that will make the season a little more interesting.

They [“Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” “Happy’s Place,” and “Poppa’s House”] do the job they set out to do; each offers a number of satisfying, sometimes very satisfying, performances from actors who gives their characters individual life and more than enough jokes that work. The worst they can be accused of, apart from some characters being as annoying as they’re meant to be, is that they borrow from the deep well of sitcoms that have preceded them.

Happy’s Place is a throwback sitcom that relies on character humor instead of broad gags, and that’s always something that we will root for.

By cramming a Gen Z worldview into a pre-Y2K sitcom format, Happy’s Place is trying to straddle two eras… and is all the more shaky because of it.

It's just another low-rent sitcom with stale jokes, bland characters and a limp plot. It's not so much that it's bad, it's just so boring, banal and blah.

For those without a fierce dedication to Reba McEntire, this show is as forgettable as it gets.

This show is fun and has a great cast. Reba fits the character of Bobbie very well. It leaves us wanting more every week.

A must needed Comedy-Drama show this Fall. A remarkable cast, been waiting to see Reba, Rex and Melissa working again together, they are so funny together. Also enjoyed the cast with Black Elk, Escobedo and Castelblanco. Cant wait to see the next episodes and how the story develops.

Happy’s’ Place is weak attempt at breathing new life into a stale played out formulaic 80’s style sitcom that has ZERO hope of getting renewed for a second season. Cheers this is NOT nor can it ever aspire to be.

So far its too woke and Isabellas character is super annoying. Watched with 2 others and we all decided to stop the show halfway through. Maybe will try again on different episodes.
