Little House on the Prairie (2026): Season 1

It might be sickly sweet, or it might be a warm hug on a bad day. The series is easy watching, if overlong. The cast is charming and beautiful, the costumes are luxe (probably too luxe for the time) and the setting is a vision to behold.

It's all so trifling and annoying. It lacks cohesion and clarity, like we're watching the whole sordid affair through a rain-smudged Seattle window.

Sometimes it's funny. Most of the time, unfortunately, it's just cringey.

The Bear: Season 5

Based on the first seven episodes, "The Bear" still has the opportunity to go down as one of the greatest or worst finales of all time. It all comes down to one final service.

House of the Dragon: Season 3

Season 3 of "House" still has too many forgettable and stilted characters (who can even remember little Rhaena Targaryen and her dragon problems, and why is she suddenly so important?) and not nearly enough oomph behind its biggest conflicts, even with two seasons' worth of backstory in its wake. But there are glimmers of hope, particularly after the first two (sadly) table-setting episodes, that there is some honest-to-goodness storytelling momentum here.

When you sign up to watch a Coben adaptation, you know you're going to be sucked into a fast-moving story that grabs you with tentacles of twists and turns until you finish all the episodes as fast as you can (eight compelling installments in this case). "Find You" meets all those expectations and adds a little extra something with such a stellar cast.

Michael Jackson: The Verdict: Season 1

It is both emotional, but also somewhat bloodless and distanced. .... It is methodical, clinical and complete. .... It is a spectacle more than a revelation. .... It seems clear that neither the film "Michael" nor the documentary "Verdict" will change the minds of anyone.

Cape Fear (2026): Season 1

On any other man, this level of villainy could be mustache-twirling and cartoonish. On Bardem, it's just plain scary. But one man cannot carry an entire TV series, not even one as talented as Bardem. And someone or something needs to prop up "Cape Fear", a prime example of wasted potential and excessive bloat in our streaming TV era.

Not Suitable for Work: Season 1

"Not Suitable for Work" is not, at least in its first few episodes, the second coming of "Friends," but it is a worthy and amusing attempt to capture a less-cynical view of Generation Z

Feels fresher, faster, brighter and more complex than the first.
