It starts incredibly strong. The first season is excellent and works brilliantly as a complete story, pulling you into its world with sharp writing, memorable characters, and fantastic pacing. The production quality is outstanding throughout, with excellent cinematography and performances that never **** the series goes on, though, it shifts away from being a legal drama and becomes much more focused on the lives of its recurring characters. The story often feels split between the criminal underworld and Saul's personal journey, making the courtroom elements feel secondary. It's still engaging and well made, but it loses some of the focus that made the beginning so **** you're already a fan of Breaking Bad, this is an easy recommendation because it expands that universe in meaningful ways. If you're looking for a traditional courtroom drama or haven't seen Breaking Bad, it's much harder to recommend. It's a solid watch with plenty of quality, just not quite the masterpiece I was hoping it would remain.

Better Call Saul is a remarkable television series that not only lives up to Breaking Bad but, in many ways, surpasses it. The show takes its time developing characters and relationships, creating a deeply emotional and rewarding story that feels authentic from beginning to **** transformation of Jimmy McGill into Saul Goodman is one of the best character arcs ever written. Every choice, success, and mistake gradually shapes the person he becomes. The performances are outstanding across the board, with exceptional writing, cinematography, and attention to detail.Unlike many prequels, Better Call Saul never relies solely on nostalgia. It stands on its own as a compelling legal drama, crime thriller, and character study. The slow-burn pacing may not be for everyone, but those who invest in the story are rewarded with some of the most powerful and memorable moments in television.10/10 – A masterfully crafted series with incredible characters, brilliant storytelling, and an ending that perfectly concludes the Breaking Bad universe.

BCS has some great drama, moments. The writers, creators of this show know how to stage and create top-tier drama ... even though what's going on in the show (for the most part) is less than interesting. Aside from some cartel stuff, and Saul-type moments)... it holds out because it has the time and carte blanche to do so. Whereas in Breaking Bad, there wasn't a safety net or security. There was an urgency to keep the ball flowing, no lulls. And it keeps the plot flowing. This show is a stop and start experience and would've been more rewatchable if tightened to less seasons. But the overall ganache / style and flavour they bring to this, even through the most mundane, situational things is high class. it doesn't touch Breaking Bad's peak (which is a lot to ask). But it's an extension (in the realm of) the greatness of what Vince Gilligan / Peter Gould created, and a wonderful extension at that.

The most heartbreaking show that I've seen. After the last episode I wanted to smoke on a balcony and think about hardships of life. Thank you, Vince Gilligan!

Intente con toda mi fuerza que me gustara pero no es ni la sombra de que lo propone breaking bad. Este spin off es una mancha en la excelente imagen de BB

The best TV series of my life. The delicate portrayal of the two brothers' emotions is something other shows can't even come close to imitating.

Being in complete honesty, it's without question the best spin-off ever made, even surpassing the main show, Breaking Bad. It is an incredible piece of art that unfolds after you the more and more you watch it, in terms of lighting, cinematography, movement composition, acting too, it has no equal in my opinion.

Equally as good as Breaking Bad, but Better Call Saul is a lot more slow-paced and less of a thriller than Breaking Bad was; therefore, it is probably harder to watch in a sense. But once you get past that, it's a fantastic TV show that deserves all the praise it has gotten.

My Review – Better Call Saul – 10/10 I gave Better Call Saul a 10 out of 10 because it’s a brilliant, slow-burn prequel that expands on the world of Breaking Bad in an amazing way. The story of Jimmy McGill transforming into Saul Goodman is captivating, and the character development is outstanding. The writing is clever, the acting is phenomenal, and the show perfectly balances drama, tension, and dark humor. It’s compelling, emotional, and keeps you invested every step of the way. This is why Better Call Saul is a 10/10.

This show is a full zero, and yes I watched the first season. Why? Because the writers confuse chaos and entropy for character arc. We are told from the first sequence of the pilot that the main protagonist goes nowhere and end as a nobody, which means that everything that happens in the show means nothing and will be erased sooner or later.

Inevitably, the first thing that happened to me with Better Call Saul was comparing it all the time to Breaking Bad. And of course, it always comes out losing a bit there. It doesn’t have those bursts of adrenaline, or that constant feeling that everything is about to explode. It’s a more patient, more contained series, one that prefers to stay in the nuances and silences rather than in big shocks. Even so, I liked it a lot; it’s just playing in a different league, quieter, but very carefully thought out. What hooks you most is watching Jimmy McGill slowly slide, almost without realising it, into Saul Goodman. It’s not a sharp turn; it’s a slow drift, full of small dubious choices that you understand, even if you don’t agree with them. That “I am myself and my circumstances” is crystal clear here: family, resentment, the need for recognition, money, ego… everything mixes until the character we knew in Breaking Bad finally clicks. Bob Odenkirk carries this evolution with a performance full of humanity: you laugh with him, you like him, but you know he’s losing **** show’s other big asset is its supporting cast. Kim is not just “the girlfriend”; she’s a fully rounded character, with her own contradictions, who slowly becomes infected by Jimmy’s world until she crosses lines that in the first season seemed unthinkable. Mike, meanwhile, works as a dry, weary counterpoint, someone who has already accepted the life he leads and decides to carry it without asking too many questions, even if there are still traces of conscience buried inside. Around them, the gallery of judges, criminals, bosses and cartel members fills the universe with faces that always add something.Visually, the series keeps the Breaking Bad seal: odd but very deliberate framing, that blinding Albuquerque light, little details that tell you things without any dialogue (a car, a cup, a colour shift). Sometimes it feels “slow”, but if you let it take you, you see that calm is deliberate: it’s getting you ready for when everything goes wrong. It doesn’t have the fireworks of Breaking Bad’s finale, but it does have moments that stick with you for pure sadness, for sheer moral wear and **** the end I’m left with the feeling that Better Call Saul always lives in the shadow of a sacred monster, and that means that, for me, it never quite reaches its level. But it’s also clear that it doesn’t need to imitate it to justify existing. It’s something else: more intimate, greyer, less “spectacular”, but very solid and very consistent with what it wants to tell. It’s not the series that will change your life, but it is one of those shows that’s hard to say goodbye to, because you end up feeling its characters almost like people you actually know. And that, these days, is not nothing.

Obra maestra.

The character development is fantastic, and breaking bad fans will appreciate getting the backstory of characters like Saul, Mike, and Gus. Saul's cons are hands down the best part of the show. My biggest problem with the show is that towards the end, there are flashforward scenes that don't make any sense to people who haven't watched Breaking Bad (they take place after the events of Breaking Bad), and for fans who have watched Breaking Bad, these scenes still jumble up the pacing of the show. Overall though, this is a good show, even if it is much slower paced compared to Breaking Bad.

A very worthy follow-up to Breaking Bad. Bob Odenkirk anchors the show and really shows off Jimmy McGill's fall. I still like Breaking Bad better but this show is excellent.

On the verge of peak television, but it takes several seasons to get to its point, and continues on for about a half season after it's said everything it has to say.

A sequel show I wasn't sure about ended up becoming better than the main show that spawned it. Better Call Saul is a fantastic experience that provides an interesting backstory to one of the best Breaking Bad characters. Watching Jimmy as he still tries to do the right thing, before the days of him meeting Walt and Jesse, is captivating enough in the early seasons when the stakes are lower. Throughout the show, the stakes rise higher and higher, until it results in big hitters like Lalo and Mike being the type of characters Jimmy has to contend with. Season 5 was such a good season, that I watched the entire thing in one sitting in one day, it is extremely rare that happens for me. Unlike most other shows, Better Call Saul, just like it's predecessor, manages to stick the landing with a satisfying conclusion. A GOAT of 21st century TV and one that will only continue to be praised as time goes on.

This series answers many questions that Breaking Bad leaves us with. Many good and interesting characters are presented in this work, and many characters already present in Breaking Bad are explored much more. The beginning of the series is a little boring, but with each episode it gets better and more attractive. Vince is a genius.

I consider Breaking Bad to be the best series to have ever graced TV, but BCS doesn't even come close to matching its brilliance. Practically every character is a ridiculous caricature, so much so, it's difficult to impossible to care about or sympathize with any of them. Unlike BB's riveting plot line and pacing, BCS is a borefest in comparison. The series has its moments, but overall this feels more like something written by fans of BB rather than its original authors. The only characters from BB that are given more than cameos are Mike, Fring, and Hector. Walt, Jessie and Hank's appearances are wasted opportunities where they show up for mere minutes in scenes that could have easily been excluded, adding nothing of interest to the plot. Mike gets lots of screen time, but I found his character one dimensional and his side plot underwhelming. Likewise, a good bit of time was devoted to Fring's story which was equally uninteresting. Even the finale was a major letdown. How others are rating this series a 10/10 is beyond me...

The camera work in this emmy worthy show (They keep getting robbed) is second to none. Every scnene is one of substance that is integral to the story and the characters. Bob Odenkirk shows his versatile acting capabilities by playing the witty, ABQ lawyer who gets tangled into greed fest.

I watched this show straight off a Breaking Bad binge with zero expectations. It started out slowwww for me. I thought to myself "he's allergic to electricity, really???" The more I watched, the more the story developed, I got hooked. Unlike most shows, the last two seasons are the best. So well written, so well shot, so well acted. One of my all time favorite shows. Ever
