This is a true masterpiece. The world-building and the mysteries make it a show you have to watch multiple times to fully appreciate. Toph is a standout character with an amazing personality. A perfect 10/10 that never gets old.

Absolutely fantastic childhood show in my opinion. I think this absolutely deserves all the praise it has gotten, and it has aged fantastically as well.

Despite being a Nickelodeon cartoon from the early 2000's, ATLA still stands tall as maybe the best television... ever?

Avatar the Last Airbender is one of my favorite shows of all time. Some of my least favorite episodes in the show, such as the Painted Lady (Season 3 Episode 3), or Imprisoned (Season 1 Episode 6) would be some of the best episodes in many other shows. The show has some of the highest highs out of anything I've watched in my entire life, with episodes like Jet (Season 1 Episode 10) or The Blind Bandit and Zuko Alone (Season 2 Episodes 6, and 7) being in my favorite episodes of anything ever.

If you haven't seen this your missing out, DEFINITELY give this a watch or rewatch, and have fun!

Avatarla leyenda de aang… tengo que confesar que esta es mi serie favorita y que la considero la mejor de todos los tiempos, esta serie tiene un perfecto equilibrio entre el humor, drama y acción donde en todos sus capitulos se encuentra cada una de estos aspectos. Tiene la que yo considero la historia mejor construida en una serie donde un personaje que no es el protagónico en este caso Zuko, tenga la mejor historia de redención de todas. en la serie capítulo por capítulo se muestra como este personaje evoluciona y con ayuda de otros personajes, especialmente su tio (mi personaje favorito) quien lo ayuda y lo guia a conseguir su paz interior y recuperar su honor perdido. Otro aspecto que amo de esta serie es su sistema de poder o magia ya que está perfectamente y detalladamente explicado, el control de los elementos puede sonar simple pero la serie logra sacar de 4 poderes simples otra cantidad de poderes derivados. El perfecto ejemplo es el capítulo titulado "la titiritera" donde se nos narra la historia de una maestra agua de la tribu sur la cual fue ma ultima capturada por la nación del fuego, ella desarrolla en prisión una habilidad derivada de su elemento control ( el agua ) llamada "sangre control" la cual permite manipular la sangre de las personas y manejarlas como titeres. Esta historia tiene momentos muy tristes y emotivos los cuales realmente hacen sentir a sus personajes mas humanos, siento que ya logré expresar y justificar mi puntuación perfecta para esta serie y espero que le llegue a servir a alguien, saludos y espero que alguien que no vio esta serie aun luego de leer esto lo haga.

One of, if not, the best show to come out of Nickelodeon. This series is comical, serious, life-changing, and even provides so many avenues to change your mindset in the real world. The series is now over 20 years old, and we are still in love with it more than ever. The character development and arcs are beautifully written with a natural and unrushed progression, and the main story is one for the ages. This gem will remain one of the best series I have ever watched and is easily in my top 3.

Undoubtedly the best "for kids" animated series of all time, and probably up there in the top 5 best SERIES of all time. While it had a couple of hiccups throughout its runtime, mainly in Season 1, the extremely long list of strengths it has (see: "Pros" section of this review) more than excuses the few slip-ups. One of the few instances of the "for all ages" label being true to its word, everyone, regardless of age, should get the chance to watch this. ///// Pros: Extremely mature themes such as genocide and war handled with an appropriate level of seriousness, Iconic characters who are to this day referred to as trope codifiers even when discussing OTHER works, Worldbuilding that is not only original but beautifully expanded on, Excellent handling of plot progression and tension ///// Cons: A few Season 1 episodes, namely "The Great Divide", fail to live up to the phenomenal reputation the show has garnered itself ///// 10/10

I watched all 3 seasons of this cartoon, really liked it — I’d rate it 8.5/10. Top of the top! I would love actually erase all my memory about this cartoon and rewatch this really deep smart wise cool.

One of those things where you say, "I can't believe this is for children" because of the mature topics it discusses, like genocide and war. It's a masterpiece, one of the best shows ever made.

Perfect for anyone children can learn, good animation, good voice acting, overall great show and I cannot really find any problems with the show. Funny plus deep storytelling gives this a solid 9

This is one of the best shows ever made. Avatar showcases complex themes in a way that is both digestible for children and heartfelt for adults. It is rare for a piece of media to strike that balance so perfectly, yet ATLA is just as enjoyable for grown ups as it is for their children. The show matures with its audience, going from a goofier, episodic style in season one to a more mature format in season three. The character arcs across the three seasons are satisfying and incredibly well executed, especially Prince Zuko's. The themes of war, violence, redemption, loss, and honor that Avatar touches on are not only handled well, but very relevant to the wider world. Many shows could learn a thing or two from Avatar.

The more I watch it, the more I realize how iconic everything in the show is. I think it's indeed the greatest show of all time and it definitely makes you wish to ever find another show as brilliant as this one.

Few shows leave you with a hole after watching their last episodes. I certainly didn't expect this one to be one of them.

I expected a lot, because the user reviews are so high, but I am disappointed, especially because of the feminism in this cartoon: Katara is always reasonable, strong and is right. Sokka is the contrary: weak especially to girls, weird, unsecure, immature. And it doesnt change, so annoying, overall the characters are childish and not **** story? It sounds good and it takes place in Japan, what makes it interesting. But the dialogues are so american. Enjoy hearing "really" and strong american accent many **** drawings are not bad, but nothing special.

Uma produção que quebra barreiras em todos os sentidos, desde a definição de "animação infantil", até a como a inclusão deveria ser feita em produtos de mídia. Muito a frente do seu tempo, Avatar conseguiu ensinar, retratar e produzir uma das jornadas de vida mais completas que vi até hoje, e que apesar de suas limitações(ser um desenho infantil e ter que ceder a um formato muitas vezes curto de episódio) consegue ser superior a muitas outras obras que não as possuem Avatar consegue cativar do público infantil até o mais adulto, desenvolvendo grandes personagens, diálogos e um mundo vivo e crível, além de é claro, grandes relações, que são a base de toda a trama Apesar de ser categorizada como uma série "infantil", Avatar consegue falar sobre temas complexos e maduros, tais como: Imperialismo, trauma, abuso, amor, autoconhecimento e muito mais. É realmente surpreendente e chocante a forma que os produtores da série conseguem fazer tudo isso e com tanta qualidade As partes técnicas também não podem ser ignoradas, visto que surpreendem de novo com a qualidade, que não só bate de frente com animações orientais como as supera em muita das vezes com seus quadros fluídos e frames tão bonitos quanto obras de arte. A mitologia e a lore do universo é simples, mas profunda, tornando-a uma obra "fácil" de entender em sua superfície, mas que possui uma riqueza enorme se olhada mais de perto e com mais cuidado. E agora, sendo menos objetivo e mais emotivo: Amei a série, os personagens, o mundo, a trilha sonora e cada segundo que passei ao lado de Aang e sua família, que com certeza têm um lugar no meu coração para personagens fictícios.

This Series had it all. Young children with a lot of emotional packages to carry, go on a adventure to ensure world piece. The relationships between every character is clearly shown, the story has no flaws and beautiful effects.

Greatest show of all time. I was about to say it's the greatest anime show even tough I'm an anime hater. But this show is not anime. But it's far greater than every show and anime that was ever made in history. If ATLA is not the greatest show of all time in every possible way then nothing else is. And if you still haven't watch it or probably didn't like then your heart is dead and your existence means nothing. Avatar: The Last Air bender / The god of shows. The theme ,Top-tier world building , Unique type of adventure all around the world , Helping people we've never even met , Character developments , redemption arcs and the power of friendship and love. Things that we can't find anything like it. Like I said , This show is perfect. It is way ahead of its time. The greatest of the greatest.

I've watched this "Cartoon" 3x times over. If you haven't watched The Last Airbender then you should go home and binge this masterpiece ASAP. * Vanishes with the wind.

Just an incredible story of incredible character development, team dynamics, dealing with loss and moving on, a simple but engaging power system and some excellent fights. You truly get the sense of family that Team Avatar illicits and how they grow together and seperately. The side characters are well-developed and focused on well with some incredible villains. Iroh, Suki, Ozai, Azula are great characters. A show thatdoesn't falter in any way.

A TV series that absolutely, undeniably lives up to all the hype and prestige lumped onto it. While a few individual episodes were underwhelming, the level of storytelling and characterization on display here is so damn good. Aang, Sokka, Katara, Zuko, Iroh, Toph and Azula (among others) all feel so genuine, and very little about their interactions with one another feels forced or contrived due to excellent writing and phenomenal voice work. I really cannot say much in the way of criticism about Avatar. It earned every bit of emotion it got from me, and is one of the best cartoons (and perhaps even TV shows) I've ever seen.

A show that showcases how to do character development; over three seasons character's growth feels earned. Such great stories, funny, and action-packed. For a kids show it delves deep into complex ideas; guilt, grief, power, responsiblity, and growing up. Simply a masterpiece.

10/10 - Honestly I think this is the best T.V show I've watched that's not an anime. Maybe it's nostalgia but I had a great time watching this as a kid and I probably could still enjoy it now.

Obviously a show for kids, but the hilarity ensues all throughout the show. Characters are a delight to get to know, and it is everything you want from an animated, binge worthy masterpiece.
