I’ve been a fan of SITC forever! So when this series came out I knew I wanted to watch it. I was disappointed because I felt it was too ‘woke’. They tried too hard to push that agenda instead of just continuing with the SITC mojo. Plus I felt when the Che character disparaged Miranda so badly and she got up and walked out and Carrie just sat there with Aidan and didn’t run after her was selfish. It was so unlike her character. I just hope the writers do a better job or I will not continue watching it.

I appreciate that the writers are trying to touch on many of the issues women face in midlife. But OMG can Carrie's character be any more unlikable. She is so petty, narcissistic and vain in her relationships. As a woman in that same age group, realistically people mature emotionally over time and it is offensive to me that she hasn't at all. For instance telling the writer in the apartment below that "she doesn't even know how to walk without her heels" is ridiculous. Complaining when Miranda ate her last yogurt as if it were the end of the world. It is just so over the top stupid! I guess the writers are trying to still be 'cute' as if the characters are still college aged, but when women in their 50s or 60s act like that it is sickeningly gross, not cute.

I forgot that this show is woke rich NY trash for a few minutes and decided to just judge it on its merits. So here are some adjectives. Like the original, this is often flawed but touching, usually funny, sometimea cringy and clunky, and generally funny. And occasionally hysterical. It's also a show about watching you and your friends get old, which is when these old ladies are at their most poignant and best.

Whose writing this show its horrible. What are they thinking these ladies are older Now they are portraying them as a bunch of teenagers at a college dorm crazed teenagers. I don't want to see Cynthia Nixon acting out her who am I picking up women. They aren't considering these are older ladies who wants to see this crap.

Season 3 abomination. Characters not funny, dishy or sexy. Worst of original 3 characters is Miranda and second worst tie between Carrie and Charlotte. Characters dressed like clowns. What happened to fabulous fashion? Worst dressed Seema Patel looks like an old hooker at fancy bar.

One of my favorite series. I will definitely watch this movie. Probably watched most of the episodes. A beautiful film that touches the heart, makes you think something and understand something.

The show has the potential to be great, but it’s missing so much of the spark the original show had. The storylines are for the most part boring. I only watched it due to nostalgia from the original show but it disappointed me. Also, I get that SATC received a lot of scrutiny for not having enough diversity (which I agree with) but the diversity in AJLT seems SUPER forced and it’s annoying. Some of the new characters just don’t add anything to the plot and it seems like they only casted them because they added diversity to the show.

I did not want to hate this but you can't do this series without a certain someone, she's the whole show, and the yin to Carries' Yang. Really it was hubris to try to make this without her. Just pure foolishness.

I like the show. And for those who is angry, disappointed and constantly asking “What have they done to Steve or Miranda or **** smth like that ?” I would say that’s not they(directors, producers, writers…) that’s time! Time makes people change. Now we can see the evolution… they’re not longer 20-30 years old hot girls, there are WOMEN! Beautiful, adult women, with their stories. Just accept or quit.

The show is great! Maybe they couldn’t capture the whole thing, like the events that happened where not as glamorous as expected, let’s face it, they are not in their 30’s anymore so for a follow up, it was great!

Bad and “woke” in the worst possible way. Don’t bother. Too many extra characters that bring nothing.

It's very nostalgic, entertaining and dramatic. For fans of Sex And The City it will be a celebration of their legacy. It perfectly addresses sensitive issues of today's society while fixing some problems the series might have had in the past due to ignorance from past eras. It's very heartwarming and I hope there will be a continuation

This series continues its downward surge - in the penultimate episode, the numbingly monotonous Kristin Davis is humiliated as she treis to get her daughter to become familiar with tampons, but the punchline of her own menstrual situation is about as appalling and pointless as writing can be. Ms. Parker is, as always, centred in her grief and confusion, while Miranda is freed from her previous life of rigid expectations and permitted an idiotic girl crush - and let's not forget that every episode feels the need to underline that Charlotte is married to a Jew - baking chala, preparing for her daughter's bat mitzvah, serving shabbat dinner - WTF!

As a heterosexual, white, 40 year old male (yes, this is important), who OWNS THE SATC BOX SET I am better qualified than most to post this review. This reboot is awful. It is PC pandering and box-ticking at its finest. The glory days of HBO are over Oz, The Sopranos, The Wire, Luck, Boardwalk Empire etc etc are gone. The cast are tired, old and phoning it in for a pay day, none of them are relevant any more. Kudos to Kim Cattrall for maintaining some dignity by distancing herself from this abortion. The writing is completely against type and the original characters would be ashamed of what they have become. Be careful HBO you are losing the battle against some incredibly tough competition in the pay-TV market and if this is all you have stick to re-runs.

I really don't get the low user score here. I'm a die hard fan of SATC. I grew up with these amazing ladies. I love the fact that the ladies have grown over the years and have gotten more complex, wiser and kinder. I mean, do we really want to see these ladies doing the things that they did in their 30s? And Just Like That is an amazing series. Period.

The old show was boring, this reboot features lectures about gender and race, which absolutely no one gets tired of. So tune in if you want to see how the writers ruined three of these characters and one they couldn't because she wisely refused a paycheck

I think this series is a wonderful update to SATC. The characters have been allowed to grow and mature and deal with the real life issues of fifty-somethings (it would have been awful if they'd all stayed exactly the same as in SATC). The result is storytelling that's in equal measure laugh out loud funny and heartbreakingly sad -- and always more gritty and real than SATC. I don't get all the "woke" criticism on this page, as Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte seem confused and dismayed by the wokeness they see around them. I see the series as a criticism of wokeness. The show took a little time to get into, but gets better and better with each episode. I love it.

I loved it! Too much transgender stuff **** all seemed currently relevant. People who criticize Charlotte's looks/age are just jealous. My only criticism is Carrie's hair is too long for her age, especially bad when she wears it loose and parted in the middle; looks better parted on the side (not highlighting nose). I'll watch this more than once, just like Sex and the City.

I struggled a bit through the first episode, thinking everyone was right that the show couldn't revive its magic. But over the next few episodes, I found that I really enjoyed the characters and their storylines. I'm so glad they didn't try to exactly recreate SATC - it just wouldn't work for women in their 50's. I'm enjoying every episode more and more and if you were a fan of the show, give it a chance.

Generally horrid, save for the expected haute fashion and interior design tutorial. The original was funny and relatable. The only thing relatable about this zombie is a weekly reminder that overly woke people are annoying and depressing.

'And just like that' is needed more than over. It shows growth, connection, real-life challenges, and loving friendships. I have been waiting for this reboot for so long... I know there are many fans out there just like me. Please continue to grow as a show and bring us many more seasons to tag along the journey. Oh, and the writing continues to be brilliant... The show is both thought-provoking and there's always a dash of comedy to round it out nicely. I love this show so much!!!

Shallow, trite, contrived, preachy, obvious, boring, and frustrating. Almost opposite of the old Sex and the City show.

And just like that... I turned it off. Sixteen minutes into the first “preview” episode. Ugh. For some context, I watched and loved the original series, and suffered through the films — as unbearable as they were at times — so for me to flat out give up on this is serious. I had hoped this would be my new lunchtime show, but I’d rather re-watch the original than suffer this woke wannabe trainwreck. Two points given for SJPs emduring style and sass, but when is Hollywood going to wake up and realize that the ham-fisted SJW tropes are painful even for those who champion race and gender equality... how do they think it plays to the others who could give a **** about probouns or black hair? Over it.

It is sad that the woke yet again ruined another show. Classless garbage, it gets a one because maybe some people will look up some oldies and classical music. Possibly remember a better time before this country started turning to garbage. The acting was abysmal. I believe there is a time and a place for things. This show was supposed to be fun and it was anything but. I won’t lie my expectations were to high. After Wonder Woman and everything else HBO max has produced I shouldn’t be surprised that an old classic just got peed on.

For everyone complaining about how this is now woke, go back and watch the original series. It always was. It was just pinned under the surface. This series just dispenses with all the pretense.

The eagerly awaited follow-up series to Sex and the City, brings back 3 of the original quartet (Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis). They quickly deal with the absence of Samantha (Kim Cattrall, who declined to return) and even keep her presence on the edges. The women are all in their 50s, so jokes about age are plentiful. There’s also lots of time dealing with social consciousness, which includes the welcome addition of several non-white, non-straight women. (Also, sad to see Willie Garson, as Carrie’s gay best friend, in 3 episodes before the actor died.) Natch, there are fab fashions, but the cool lifestyle moments and sexy situations have receded for now (perhaps more will develop). So far, it’s a comfortable reboot and time will tell if it still can stimulate and surprise. (This review is based on the first 2 shows with additional episodes launched every Friday.)

They ruined one of the greatest series of all time by making it Woke and full of Grief! The original was full of Love and comedy! It couldn’t feel like a bigger insult to the original work

Bar none the worst show I’ve seen in decades. A bunch of woke bullet points might speak to the core audience but it isn’t a substitute for a plot. The show wasn’t I funny, it was horribly mean spirited and disrespectful to its characters. What they did to Steve…Jesus. Really sad this show used to be funny. The writers directors and the actors should all be ashamed of themselves for ever letting this see the light of day.
