The ensemble cast has great chemistry and falls into a rhythm quickly in the first two episodes.

No one can be painted with broad strokes, and to anyone accusing the show of trying to be woke, 9-1-1: Lone Star is enthusiastically nodding and smiling that yes, that is exactly what's happening.

A very great show, with a solid storyline and also some "funny moments" which ease the tough events in the episodes. Also the cast does an amazing job in portraying the charachters; Rob Lowe, Ronen Rubinstein and Natacha Karam are the best ones, with Liv Tyler as an honorable mention

9-1-1: Lone Star isn’t misbegotten: Its bones, coming as they do from its forerunner series “9-1-1,” are solid, and aspects of its conceit are sweet, if at times so utopian as to defy belief.

Is it great TV? Maybe not, but it’s sure easy to watch, a quick hour to distract you from your problems mostly through sheer adrenaline. It’s hard to believe anyone who likes the original iteration won’t take to this one. Lowe and Tyler are more than charming enough and the supporting cast is strong too, but they’re really just cogs in the grand machine of escapist television.

“Lone Star,” starring Rob Lowe, has more modest ambitions and delivers far less exciting results [than “9-1-1.”]

The presence of Lowe and Tyler helps offset the silliness that goes on around them.

Sticks close to the original in tone, but, oooof, it suffers from a clunky introduction. ... The exposition is heavy-handed, the justifications for some plot twists are dubious and the dialogue often laughable. It’s just so on the nose.

The creators of the show should be ashamed of themselves. the show really makes the men and women of the Austin fire department look ridiculous. Portraying this Rob Lowe as a firefighter that was at the real 9/11 is an absolute outrage and is a big slap in the face to real firefighters of the FDNY that lost their brothers. Also showing two homosexual men starting to get it on is not appropriate.
