The Suicide Squad

No one is safe, and decency is thrown out the window. Not since Deadpool has a movie ever been so f****d up. Though Deadpool wandered more into the sexual and scatological terrain, The Suicide Squad, instead, blurs the line between cartoon violence and gory realism.

Gunn keeps throwing enough inventive kills and comic-book antics at us (aided by the wildly disparate skills sets of our antiheroes) to keep the R-rated mayhem from getting too repetitive.

The Suicide Squad is cunningly scuzzy, disreputable fun.

This is a movie where the US government hires a shark that talks like Sylvester Stallone to tear people in half, and it is sick. It is sick as hell.

Gunn, for a time, was uniquely aware of how expendable he was. And The Suicide Squad is thoroughly focused on notions of expendability. It’s also violent, perversely comedic, and despite pacing issues, an impressive effects-driven spectacle.

I thought the picture started strong and finished with a whimper, with flashes of fun standing out in draggy middle acts that play like boring filler.

The Suicide Squad is crass, noisy and brash – a disturbing glimpse inside the mind of James Gunn.

Amazing movie! James Gunn as always knocked it out of the park. The difference between this one and the first one is night and day. Except that it is a heavenly day with unlimited money and all you could want luxuries, compared to a 9th layer of hell night.

Otra película de superhéroes más con sus fallas y aciertos, que logra a diferencia de su predecesora, mejorar ciertos aspectos en los que estaba floja. Entre lo que mencioné con anterioridad se encuentra la trama, es verdad que mejora, pero hasta ahí. En lo particular me pareció larga, innecesariamente larga, también los personajes eran aburridos y muy básicos en cuanto a la composición de cada uno. Quisieron hacer mucho y se quedaron casi a mitad de camino, pero para ser una película de DC, teniendo en cuenta que no son de lo mejor, esta estuvo bien. Me hubiese gustado verla en el cine, en donde siento que se hubiese aprovechado más tan bonitos efectos especiale

DC makes dodgy movies, but this is one of the best. The film has great overall direction and, above all, artistic direction. James Gunn reminds us, at all times, why the name of the film is called Suicide Squad. Furthermore, it handles all characters, and their respective personalities, in a good way. Still, like every movie, there are flaws: - Slow narrative - The film sometimes presents unpleasant weather situations. An "anticlimax". - Film repeats action scenes, already presented in it, and, with that, becomes predictable.

Painful to watch. It's not funny or good in any shape or form. How Suicide Squad is even remotely popular baffles me.

I prefer the 2016 Suicide Squad film and that's saying something. A complete failure. At what point do jokes completely destroy any meaningful sentiment built through the narrative. This movie is the answer.
