The Pope’s Exorcist doesn’t match the bone-deep terror or filmmaking heights of the original Exorcist, but sets itself apart by building the whole movie on an understanding that its whole premise is a little silly — and it’s never afraid to lean into that fact.

Avery (“Samaritan”) drives the film at a pace as caffeinated as Amorth himself, and manages to incorporate legitimate scares into a plot halfway between Indiana Jones and a Dan Brown potboiler, with camp touches worthy of Ken Russell.

I loved it, I miss the whole biblical type genreeven though I'm not religious. I do however think it's hilarious some of these critics get mad about it being religious but if it was about any other religion no one would say a word...pathetic. If you like biblical type movies then go for it, 10/10 seriously loved it.

It’s not just the demonic possession victims whose eyes will be rolling back in their skulls – none of this should work, really, and yet the film just about gets away with it, proving the Lord truly does move in mysterious ways.

Crowe — knowingly, I think — clowns around from start to finish. Even if the horror doesn’t have you screaming, his Italian accent will.

It allows Crowe to have fun with the part of Father Amorth, but the film forgets to have fun along with him.

Crowe seems to impose his own sense of fun on the proceedings, which gives it a light touch even when it should have fear-for-the-victims’ lives gravitas.

The film tries to pack in so much subplot and religious context that it leaves no time to build up a scare properly. The only people who would actually be scared by this movie are about five years too young to legally see it.

The Pope's Exorcist is a must-see! It was one of the best movies I have seen this year, and Russell Crowe is incredible.

What was with the comical London accent from the boy? It really ruins the mood and I couldn't take it seriously. There are some interesting ideas and intense moments but also sometimes it's a little boring. It's not very original, all these exorcism films are very similar and struggle to come close to The Exorcist (1973). It's definitely one of the better exorcist films though. It's not scary but it's exciting. The acting is fine and it's nice to look at. Overall it's fairly enjoyable and entertaining although not especially memorable.

“The Pope's Exorcist” is a horror-comedy film that follows the story of Father Gabriele Amorth, the official exorcist of the Vatican, and his encounter with demonic possession. The movie is directed by Stanlio Kubrick and stars Russell Crowe as Father **** film is a fun and irreverent take on the horror genre, with a lot of humor and over-the-top action. The plot is absurd and full of stereotypes, but it’s all tremendously entertaining. The movie is a series Z film that becomes a **** acting is excellent, especially Russell Crowe’s performance as Father Amorth. He brings a lot of energy and charisma to the role, and his Italian accent is hilarious. The special effects are also well-done, and the movie has a great soundtrack.Overall, I would give “The Pope's Exorcist” a 6 out of 10. While it’s not a perfect film, it’s definitely worth watching if you’re a fan of horror-comedies or if you’re looking for something fun and entertaining to watch

A 2000 years old demon is tricked like a toddler to take a pig. Really ? The actress who played the mother was 33 and the daughter 23. Why ? It was designed to be a horror movie but I was never scared. Good actors, nice special effects, bad story in my opinion. Sayonara

Zamanında iyi filmlerde oynamış oyuncular böyle filmlerde neden oynar anlamıyorum. Paraları mı bitiyor acaba? Neyse tam bir vakit kaybı. Hiç bulaşmayın.
