The Family Plan

This is pretty routine material, but it’s been realized with charm and enthusiasm: The director, Simon Cellan Jones, maintains a good handle on the comic-thriller tone and shoots the action with wit and creativity.

The Family Plan resembles the first Dan more than the second, too predictable and formulaic to excite, without the juice to become a family favorite.

Cheerfully dumb and dutifully formulaic, it’s “content” in the worst sense of the term.

Stretching its high concept but thin results to the breaking point, The Family Plan feels like a movie whose best moments were during the pitch meeting.

No one on-screen is to blame for the failure of The Family Plan. They’re all fine, but they’re swimming upstream against a script that doesn’t give them enough to do and a director who fails at blending an average family and uncommon action into one vision.

Each setpiece is composed and paced much like the last, which only amplifies the sense of Dan as some kind of unflustered, largely unsympathetic man-machine, paused only by the script’s fleeting interpersonal conflicts.

There is nothing in The Family Plan that you haven’t seen before, to the point that there’s somehow even less.

High production quality, impressive cinematography and well paced direction and editing give the vanilla storyline room to breathe. The cast is fantastic and the plot holds up well until the last third when it leans further into the action. Feels like a spiritual remake of true lies. Fun, but ultimately vacuous.

A formulaic action comedy. Nothing new here. Unless you want a light, fun flick, skip it. It’s 100 percent forgettable; however, I admittedly had a good time watching it on a plane.

Pretty Average movie. Kind of ok road trip family action movie. You can skip on this. Won't be a big miss. An one time watch film if you consider this to watch.

"The Family Plan 2" is an uneven-worse study in lazy filmmaking, aggressively unfunny clichés, and incredibly bland action sequences.

Mazza o che schifo, leggermente meglio del due però comunque fa uno schifo, una trama a caso presa nel bidone della spazzatura che hanno buttato,scene fatte a caso non per bambini nonostante un film fatto per bambini, perché se non è un film da guardare in famiglia veramente mi chiedo il regista, cosa aveva per la testa
