The Addams Family 2

This sequel makes up for some of the problems with the 2019 "Addams Family" animated family film, which suffered from an uneven tone and a meandering storyline.

The Addams Family 2 allowed me a couple of nostalgic chuckles, while the kids were entertained by the antics. It wasn’t entirely a snooze, but I can’t say it was particularly memorable for either of us.

Building on 2019’s solidly entertaining animated entry, The Addams Family 2 remains kooky and fun, yet it lacks the warmth from the previous film and feels more juvenile, too.

As charmless as its predecessor, The Addams Family 2 is without an iota of ooky, nor any shred of kooky. Really, it’s just kind of ghastly – and not in the intended way.

It’s understandable that MGM would want to make a sequel to their sleeper smash of a couple of years ago. It’s laudable that they stuck with the same animation house that made that one, giving them another fine visual showcase. But it’s unforgivable that MGM would do a rush job sequel and waste all this glorious animation on a corpse of a kids’ comedy

At 93 minutes, The Addams Family 2 feels longer than it actually is, and nothing, not even the new music from contemporary stars like Megan Thee Stallion and Maluma, helps it move any faster. Part of the problem is that even with a relatively well-constructed script (there is a bit of a timeline snafu near the end), the film itself is mostly boring. The one-liners are more corny than clever.

The Addams Family 2 makes exceedingly few right moves, feeling tossed-off right to the very end.

Great sequel, I don't understand the negative reviews, this was not a movie for grown ups. This is a kids' movie. My kids loved it

The sequel to THE ADDAMS FAMILY failed to pique my interest? Some of the film's scenes were entertaining, while others were strange? It's not something I'd recommend to anyone else! The film was so disjointed that it appeared as if the creative team was racing to the finish line. Every scene was sloppily cut; I was looking forward to seeing this film and had ignored all of the negative reviews, but I had to leave after the first 30 minutes. As a result of all of the confusing scenes, my head began to ache. The music was fantastic!. In my opinion, it isn't any "better" than the first. It isn't as interesting or entertaining as the first film. Wednesday was far too prevalent, with far too little of everything else. They try, but the majority of the humour is repetitive and lacks originality. It was all very bland and boring. Because of the voice cast and the characters that are well-known and popular, it's not even worth watching for those reasons alone. This franchise's prospects and future are completely meaningless. In terms of visual effects or the evolution of the animated film genre into a more artistic medium, The Addams Family 2 is not a ground-breaking animated comedy sequel by any means.

There are many hidden jokes and gestures but it's hard for kids to spot the out and pick their interest and attention. It was boring to watch for me as an adult and for the kids as well.
