For a production that doesn’t operate at Hollywood blockbuster scale, the ships, orbital stations, and space environments are impressively crafted. There is texture, a sense of a lived-in world, and clear aesthetic **** film works best when it focuses on the team dynamic. The cast’s charisma is essential: the interactions between crew members provide humor, humanity, and emotional nuance. When their pasts come into play, the narrative gains weight and connects those traumas effectively to present motivations.That said, the runtime feels slightly extended. Certain stretches lose momentum, and the structure could have been tighter. Not every sequence carries the same intensity, and some action beats feel repetitive.Thematically, it touches on social inequality and technological exploitation, though without deep exploration. The ideas are present but never fully become the film’s core.Space Sweepers is entertaining, visually strong, and emotionally engaging. "다른 배 생각을 왜 나한테 시키냐?"3. 언제나 그랬던 유해진 배우님과 진선규 배우님은 캐릭터를 살리는 맛이 좋으시다. 태리님도 말할 것 없고. 근데 그와중에 송중기 배우님에게서만 어색함이 느껴지는 것은 왜일까. 뭔가 어설프게 양아치 흉내내는 기분이고 어설프게 터프한 개구쟁이인 척 하는 느낌이야.4. 근데 다 후시녹음인가 뭔가 소리랑 입이 따로노는 느낌이야 ㅋㅋㅋ5. 근데 꽃님이는 이 오랜 시간동안 아빠랑 떨어져있었고 만나자말자 울면서 왜 떨어져있는 동안 궁금해하지도 않았을까 ㅋㅋ 캐릭터 붕괴 ㅋㅋㅋ6. 순이를 차라리 미스테리로 쓰지 저런 뻔한 신파로 더럽히다니.... "아빠처럼 좋은 사람이 되고싶어" 라니 ........ 김이 팍 새버렸다.7. 낙원을 위한 인간 청소. 우월한 유전자의 사람들 (그리고 그들은 공교롭게도 부유하다. 근데 이건 현실만 봐도 ;;;)을 주민으로 모시고 그들을 섬기는 일을 하는 사람들도 우월한 유전자 위주로 입양해서 기른다. 우월한 그러니까 겁니 쎈 것만 키운 공화국을 만드는거다. 근데 분명 우주전쟁 규모의 작품인데 약간 전투씬이나 이런게 저예산 느낌난다. ㅋㅋㅋ 액션씬은 전체적으로 좀 소규모에 허접 ㅋㅋㅋ 하지만 괜찮다 ㅋㅋㅋ 내 눈이 어차피 화려한 걸 못 쫓아가거든 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ8. 제일 어리지만 우주라서 위아래가 없는 장선장 ㅋㅋ 겁니 ㅋㅋ 귀여워 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ "태호야 힘좀 내자" ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ9. 그와중에도 선택받은 UTS 낙원 거주민은 다 벽안이고 꽃님이도 나노봇을 쓸 때는 파란눈이 된다. 무슨 의미야???10. 그리고 업둥이는 김향기 배우님이 되었어 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 반가와요11. 말이 우주 청소부지 해적이야 해적 ㅋㅋㅋ 한명 한명 다 먼치킨급의 해적선이라 재미난다.

It's like a live action anime with surprisingly good effects and excellent interior designs. The story is not super original, but they have some real heartfelt moments and tons of bonkers action. I appreciate how out of the box and different the approach was from Hollywood. Pretty good dubbing plus English-speaking actors make it work well in the English dub.

Sweeper was a fun scifi movie. The story was really interesting, but the ending was too confusing and not really focus. The FX were really amazing, at the level of some AAA titles. I mean the space sequences could be compared to the Expanse, minus less budget. The acting was fair, some better the others, but overall very respectable. The sounds weren't really great and the soundtrack was forgettable. The robot was maybe, the best voice over into the movie. Really some emotional moments here and there that cemented the story. I give it 75%. A bit too long, and I think we didn't get enough of the villain backstory. A quality movie with a so, so ending.

this was one of the best space movies i ever seen, i saw the crit, i thought it will be bad, and like american movies and etc, but it wasn't like this at all !, it may make you feel that the movie is like cowboy and etc american movies at first, but every 10 mins you can know that what you are watching is different, VFX Is the best thing in the movie, the story was very amazing, the characters , and the acting, i give it 8/5 , but because people are hating this show for nothing i'll hit it with 10, because this movie have to be trending, more people most watch it, stay away.. K-drama haters.

Following the furore caused by Parasites, this South Korean production had a lot to say in its favor. The plot of a desolate planet Earth declared a no man's land, and replaced by space colonies, promised a lot but at times the plot becomes confusing, with characters out of context, and that makes the film weaken before the first 60 minutes are fulfilled. Better luck next time?

WHAT ARE THESE POSITIVE COMMENTS? The clearest expression I could say for this movie would definitely be this: The most boring and empty movie I've ever seen. Cliche scenario, characters that are tried to be shown as special, but empty cliché characters. I have no idea why I'm watching this movie. A complete waste of time. The movie is so cliché, I'm sure you've watched the same movie 3-4 times before.

It over-extends its stay, but Space Sweepers was an impressively ambitious sci-fi film. There are several segments that are quite messy, and the story itself is not that solid but for the most part I think it's an experience that offers apt and competent thrills. It could be better? Of course. With a better consistency it could have reached better levels but truth be told, I never found myself disappointed. I give it extra points for being a nice and interesting option outside the mainstream and the big franchises.

I enjoyed this movie a lot. It had great special effects, a good story line, and well liked characters. And while I may not think this deserves a 10, I'm giving it 1 because of Racist people with no taste in movies giving it a 0 just because its Korean. Honestly the movie is about an 8/10 and well worth a watch. I hope this helps anyone looking for a review.

A surprisingly enjoyable movie. The writing is nothing new to anyone in to sci fi, however the innovation tech on display are quite novel and offer a convincing look into a possible future. Despite being a Korean production you may hardly recognise it because while the main crew that we follow is korean we see and interact with ships and people from all nations. ingeniously the movie chooses to keep everyone's native language at all times because in this future everyone wears a translater. The subtitles are managed well for this. The cgi is really great as are the sets. There is a lot of production quality here and for the main cast the acting is great. Nothing special about the sound and I kept expecting the villain to be something special but alas, he was not. Not much room for a sequial here but I will be waiting for more sci fi from this studio.
