Pitch Perfect 3

So many movies end with trite sentiments about “family” and “sisterhood” but it doesn’t feel forced here. It looks like these performers are genuinely enjoying themselves, and it’s infectious.

The numbers just aren’t as dynamic as we might have hoped for from director Trish Sie, whose credits include alt-rock act OK Go’s “treadmill video” and other addictively innovative shorts.

With a plot as unfocused as its freshly graduated characters, the shaggy Pitch Perfect 3 gets by on karaoke logic: What makes for a good time isn’t the song you sing, but the company you keep.

It’s half-assed in every way but cast retention; almost all the major female characters return.

It’s just the same movie over and over, until the end of time and everybody dies, in which case “Pitch Perfect 45: A-Ca-Wait-Are-We-Dead?” might be a thing.

Pitch Perfect 3 totally eclipses the heart of a charming franchise, turning the scrappy Bellas a capella posse into needy Charlie’s Angels wannabes. It’s a movie taking popularity for granted, a finale saying goodbye with a "you’re welcome."

The trailer for Pitch Perfect 3 makes it look and sound like a comedy, which puts me in the unfortunate position of announcing that it is nothing of the kind. It's a tragedy in four-part harmony.

I loved this movie. I have already seen it twice and going again on weekend as this MAY be their last call. BOO to all you haters. Get with the program, BELLAs are the best..Beka out, ACA awesome

I was pretty impressed with how humorous the third Pitch Perfect was. Although I had second thoughts about going, the series finale was excellent. Although some of the sequences may have been cut, the film overall had excellent acting and music.

Tasteless, rushed and all jokes fall flat. Pitch Perfect 3 is a disappointing entry in a franchise that consecutively became worse and worse, but this is definitely a new low. I say that the Barden bellas must indeed move on, and let us be.
