Entertainment Weekly
Another contemporary story about a woman with a successful career punished with a lousy personal life.

San Francisco Chronicle
Another romantic comedy about a career woman who has everything except a man, is Jennifer Aniston's attempt to break out of her TV role. But she doesn't have the magic on the big screen to make us forget where she came from.

Chicago Sun-Times
It's a shame the plot is so contrived, because parts of this movie are really pretty good.

Los Angeles Times
It only serves to remind one of better movies, at a time when one needs no reminders.

Chicago Reader
Olympia Dukakis and Illeana Douglas come off poorly in silly supporting roles that make Aniston seem to have screen presence by default. Her character's habit of compulsively adjusting her bodice ensures our attention has the proper focus.

Austin Chronicle
The result is a vacuous feel-good movie that leaves you feeling nothing at all.

A strong debut for Jennifer Aniston in a leading role. Picture Perfect is a delightful precursor to the career ahead of her. Nonetheless, nothing terribly exciting going on here.

Either the writer knows nothing about how the world works, or American society (particularly that in the advertising industry) is seriously, seriously dysfunctional. And are there really women who go screaming into the apartment of their 28-year-old daughters demanding to know where they were the previous night? And do those daughters seriously *not* break the noses of those women and throw them out into the street? What a load of utter, utter, utter claptrap.
