It is admirable that the director of commercial movies like Tum Bin and **** had the courage to direct a movie like this one. This movie was clearly not made with box office performance in mind. After acting together in Kapoor & Sons, Rishi Kapoor and Rajat Kapoor have acted in another amazing movie together. Mulk is a riveting courtroom drama about Islamophobia in contemporary India, and features amazing performances, especially from Tapsee Pannu. This movie is the best Bollywood movie about Islamophobia since Hansal Mehta's Shahid, and it's my second favorite Bollywood movie of 2018 so far after Pad Man. Mulk is the antidote to the Islamophobia of Padmaavat.
