Well my daughter didnt want to see it at all, i watched it by myself when it came on disney+. Not sure where Disney is headed if even the kids consider it's cr@p. So.. i laughed a few times, it's an average family comedy overall. But mostly a platform for product placement (Caprisun being particularly not subtle) and selling merchandise. Special mention for Ohana now meaning you throw away the kid when you don't have health insurance or simply other plans, like going to college. Modernity for Disney means children are a burden and all single parents are losers. Lay off on tequila and antidepressants when making children movies, really..

La película es entretenida y nostálgica, me encanta el diseño de stitch, los efectos especiales son buenos, mi problema es con los actores, ya que algunos no me convencen del todo y la versión animada es mucho mejor.

Lilo & Stitch (2025) is honestly a pretty solid live action remake, especially compared to some of Disney's other live action remakes. There are definitely some things that are a little worse, and the criticisms that people have are valid, but there is also a ton of stuff in this movie that lives up to the original, and some parts that are even more emotional than the original in my opinion.

Live action remake of a perfect movie, AND ruined the message. Visually disappointing, morally questionable.

Entertaining Live Action version of the Dsney classic is actually competently made and has a stronger 'heft' in handling some of its more 'heartfelt' topics. It's still a 'very small movie' but its popular with the Disney crowd.

Lilo and stitch it's not like bad live action movie it is a good live action movie for people who never seen the animated Lilo and stitch but your people that just don't like the live action is because they changed so much of the plot of the original Lilo and stitch but it still has that Disney feel and has a good music and just has everything that you wanted but it doesn't have the main villain and they make Lilo get adopted at the end of the movie which really got everybody kicked off but it still made a lot of money for Disney because it's already at number two at the box office because it made so much money than the not so fairest of them all snow white that got a lot of controversy over the year before it came out and became a box office failure to Disney like Lilo and stitch was the return to the box office for Disney to come back to the top but they never made it to number one at the box office because of Ne Zha 2 took the number one at the box office

Good movie that is better then snow white could be better than the orginal actors characters were all spot on it was a big annoying when he recked stuff but yeah its a good film

Stitch carries. I related with the grandma who went "Oh no, it just won't end" as the movie approached its 4th climax.

I can’t really be objective with this film. At home, Stitch has been everywhere for years: on shelves, cushions, and even mugs, because he’s my daughter’s favorite Disney character. So loving him comes naturally. That’s why, when Disney announced the live-action remake, I felt a bit of fear: other animated-to-live-action adaptations hadn’t worked so well for me. However, this new version has pleasantly surprised **** movie respects the spirit of the 2002 original, recovering that mix of tenderness and chaos that made Stitch an icon. The best part is how it manages to recreate the essence without losing its spark, and although some changes can be debated, overall they reinforce the story rather than weaken it. There’s a clear effort to balance emotion with fun, and that makes a big difference compared to other colder or more routine remakes.Visually, it’s very well crafted: CGI Stitch feels alive, expressive, and keeps that mischievous edge kids adore. The setting and effects don’t try to dazzle with excess, but instead serve the story, and that restraint works in the film’s favor. It’s not a technical showcase for its own sake, but a tool that enhances the characters.Most importantly, the story about family remains intact. The message that “ohana means family” still works, maybe even more strongly today. It connects with kids, who see Stitch as a lovable friend, and with adults, who can relate to the emotions of Lilo and Nani. It’s a simple story, but one that continues to strike a chord.Like any remake, it inevitably faces comparison with the original. And yes, maybe it loses some of the unique magic of animation. But this version achieves something difficult: being faithful while fresh enough to justify itself. It may not win over purists, but it entertains, moves, and keeps alive a character that still wins **** the end, it’s the kind of remake you’re glad to have. Not because it reinvents anything, but because it proves that sometimes, telling a good story well again is enough. And if Stitch was already living in your home in plushies and T-shirts, this film only makes that bond stronger.

Ohana doesn't mean family in this remake, it means give your sister up to foster care and follow your selfish desires. Ohana also means buy as much Stitch merchandise as possible. Where most of these remakes wind up about as bland and average as they can get, this one takes everything that made the original brilliant and changes it to appear more childish, spiteful, pandering, nostalgia-baity, wonky, dragged out, personalityless, creepy, and corporate just so Disney can check as many boxes as possible and make as much money as possible. The only parts I liked were anything and everything to do with only Lilo and Stitch themselves (as characters, their designs, their dynamic, their acting, etc) and maybe a few other very minor things. I swear on my life if Disney dares remake WALL-E one of these days I will throw hands at whoever inevitably approves this.

Disney finally did not mess up 100% on a classic live action. Although, they did take out plenty of memorable moments from the original film that made us LOVE Lilo and Stitch to begin with - thus it lost on rating. Stich and Lilo are the entire essence of loveable. Plenty of laughs and emotional strings to pull on. Sydney is super hot playing the big sister role! All aliens and supporting cast members were phenomenal. Hopefully we can see a big character missed in a later installment. Will rewatch and begging for a sequel film.

I won’t compare this live-action adaptation to the original animated film, as I’m too old to have grown up with it (and honestly, who cares — an adaptation is meant to be different, otherwise there’s no point). So I discovered this universe with fresh eyes, and I genuinely had a great time! It’s funny, touching (the ending even made me cry), and a lot of fun. I have to say, the actress playing Lilo was incredibly well cast. Disney has already started working on a sequel, and I really hope it keeps the same spirit!

**** me just tell you something.........I hated the **** fact I said that the movie should have not **** since this is just the live action version of **** will get the same **** I have not even watched it!

What a cute and fun film. As a man in my mid-30s with no nostalgic connection to the original *Lilo & Stitch*, I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this as much as I did, but I was pleasantly surprised. The young actress playing Lilo is an absolute delight. She's charming, expressive, and just plain adorable. She brings so much heart and energy to the film. Stitch is brought to life with fantastic visual effects that make him feel like a real part of the world, full of personality and warmth. While I had a few minor reservations about the ending, overall the film was a joy to watch. I'm clearly not the target audience, but I imagine fans of the original or younger viewers will enjoy it even more.

Disney has yet again ruined one of my favourite Stories and animations I watched in my childhood. Disney feels the need to take a Great animation, kick it around, Rip pivotable story elements, and ruin the overall vibe. Disney is EVIL. So let's go over what is truly wrong in the film besides me just generally despising it . Every detail of the original has either been mashed up into an inconsistent copy or has been stripped out and destroyed. The acting from the characters is subpar and incredibly inferior, except maybe for Nani, Lilo and Stitch. The voice acting for Jumba and Pleakly is soooo bad. They are just reading the script and getting paid, not even trying something new, or a voice. The cool action scenes and Details in the Original are not here. The Laser Gun is meant to emit green blaster acid... Remember! And where the **** is Gantu? Folks, the music from the original film was even butchered; it has no flow with the actual film, it's just some unrecognisable mess. BUT RECON! The Icecream Guy. They misuse the joke about twice. The ice cream isn't just meant to fall; it's meant to be affected by the stuff that's happening around the dude. In the original, Wind knocks over the scoop, and the giant spaceship knocks over the scoop with a manoeuvre. But here, nothing makes any sense. How does an animation made for kids make more sense than a live-action film, wtf? Everything in this film is just done wrong, and does not match or make it better than it was before. So, what would I give this film? Honestly, I'd give it a 3/10, but as usual, I consider the audience and the points in this film that work. So I'm going with a 4/10. This is better than some of the recent live-action garbage Disney has put out, but it doesn't mean it's good. This is less and, in most cases, insulting to a fan of Lilo and Stitch. If you have never watched the original animation and you think that by watching this live-action version, you will get the point, you are severely wrong. Please go watch the Original animation, and if you want to compare, then watch the live-action version, and you'll see how Disney has butchered an amazing film. Please make your kids watch the original animation because this is insulting not only to me, but children deprived of quality content. Finally, **** you, Disney. Again and again, we keep warning you. Return to Original 2D animation or just use 3D animation to remake all your 2D ****'t you want Money? Review Over, I'm done.

Part of me loved seeing much of the original films material translated into a live action feature. The other part of me was noticing the compromises made in the process of translating the more dramatic family scenes. We get a more serious tone here including additional details in the complexity of their case with an additional social worker played by tia carere. I know this was in the original but it hits differently in a live action flick imo. Galafinakis gives a decent go at the villain here but I do miss the originals "eastern European" accent from the animated original. Overall the original still stands up well in 2025 where this remake feels outdated even when its fresh out of the oven. Entertaining but flawed.

Astronomically disappointing. I dont know why they changed the ending so drastically. On top of many context scenes missing from this movie that make other scenes make no sense without them.

Faithful adaptation of the cartoon. I liked it. There were some super fanny moments. Great kids movie.

However, where this film stumbles is in its editing and structure. It felt like the movie was in a constant rush to get from one key moment to the next, never giving us enough time to breathe or emotionally connect with the beats in between. Instead of a cohesive origin story, it felt more like the first step in building an ensemble for future sequels — more setup than story. That said, the emotional themes of ‘ohana (family, belonging, connection) still resonate. The bond between characters is sweet, and the film does tap into the same heart that made the original a classic. Kids will definitely find joy in it — especially in Stitch’s wild antics and clever escapes. Sum up - If you’re going in for a hit of childhood nostalgia, manage your expectations. But if you’re showing this to kids or just want to witness Stitch being delightfully unhinged, it’s worth a watch. It may not be the seamless reintroduction we hoped for, but it does plant seeds for a potentially stronger sequel.

“Lilo & Stitch” (2025) is one of the very few instances in which a Disney Live Action remake is justified in its improvements, mostly respectful to its source material, and an enjoyable experience overall. Even as the original 2002 animation featured unique character designs that gave the characters a special personality, the cast in this remake manages to successfully portray rebranded versions of our beloved characters in their own special way throughout this heartwarming and considerate retelling of a Disney classic. Although this movie isn’t original, it is definitely a great way to kick off summer with an experience audiences need right now.

The film is honestly one of the worst ones I have seen by Disney in a while. It left out multiple characters, swapped CGI for live action actors for Jumba and Peakley, and completely changed the ending and the message from the original. Please do not waste your money on it and just watch something somewhat better.

En una época en la que Disney parece más centrada en reciclar que en innovar, sorprende decir que Lilo & Stitch (2025) es uno de sus live action más cuidados y honestos. La ambientación en Hawái está muy lograda, y hay una intención genuina de capturar el espíritu de la original. ¿El problema? En esta versión, han eliminado a Gantu, un personaje icónico y con mucho potencial visual, para dejar como antagonista principal a Jumba. El problema es que Jumba no es un villano en el sentido clásico, sino un científico excéntrico que le daba mucha más profundidad al personaje de Stitch en la versión animada, y aquí se queda en la nada más absoluta, y además, al quitarle ese arco narrativo de redención, le quitan también dimensión y profundidad. Stitch was adorable, the live action character of Lilo and Nani were perfect for their role in the modern age as more of their story was better focused than in the 2002 version. Jumba and Pleakley had decent roles and funny moments from times they were on screen. It was a fun and creative adaptation and noticeable changes which treat this version distinct from the original 2002 version. Chris Sander voicing Stitch was a big positive in my book.

As sad, washed out downgrade of the original that does the worst thing an adaptation can. Having no understanding of the original. The original Lilo and Stitch bordered on being revolutionary. A Disney film with big ideas, real conflict, heart and something coherent to say. Certainly the closest to date the studio has come to being on the same level as a Studio Ghibli animated film. This lifeless mess has manufactured conflict, an obvious/boring villain, and a repulsive message that no one seems to have thought about very hard.

Disney has now released three love action movies over the last 6 months. And after the debacle of Snow White, the studio has put a pause on all new live action projects barring Moana releasing next year. But Lilo & Stitch may change that again, given how popular it is. I still don't understand the fancy behind these live action adaptations especially when a lot of/most of the characters are photorealistic. Lilo & Stitch was one of the Disney Animated movies that I had never watched before. So I ensured to watch before the live action dropped. I found it cute especially Stitch, who is voiced by Chris Sanders (director of the original). This was the only reason why I was excited about the remake. Sanders is still as charming as he was 23 years back while voicing Stitch. The animation quality on the alien characters in the remake is limited to only Stitch. The rest of it is pretty average. The two other characters that I loved in the remake are Sydney Agudong, who plays Nani and the debutant, Maia Kealoha, who plays Lilo. Their dynamic is so much better in the remake. It feels more real and the emotions actually work.There are a few changes made to the original and they are welcome changes. Like Jumba & Gantu's characters are more or less merged and that was the more sensible thing to do. The morphing to human form was an intelligent change. But all in all, there is still that feeling of why was this even needed? The remake earned a lot of money but is that what we actually need? Remakes making money while originals sink?Kids will enjoy this, especially the generation that came after the release of the original. For others, this is just another live action remake; nothing to write home about.

This movie makes me so angry. How do you take one of the best Disney animated films, remove all semblance of life and love, and then show its corpse up on the screen and then call it art??? The team that made this aught to be ashamed of themselves and Disney needs to stop their live-action movie trend. It's time to be done.

Good voicework on Stitch. That's it. That's the whole reason to watch. Otherwise it's a lobotomized remake of a real weirdo movie that WAS about real weirdos that come together and form a family. This remake kills every. Single. Thing. about the original that was good, or even the driving force of the story. Stitch is much more well behaved, so is Lilo. Nani doesn't have any real frustration or stress compared to the situation in the original and in the end she LEAVES HER FAMILY. Why? Because Lilo can be ABANDONED TO THE STATE. What's the point of this movie? I'm glossing over the idiotic villain turn of a formally lovable character, the extreme dumbing down of David, the removal of Captain Gantu entirely, the disguises Jumba and Pleakley use are just straight up human, the list goes on and on. I've seen some cowardly cash grab things come from Disney before, but I've never seen this level of low, gutless, timid and fearful work before. And the craziest part is; I didn't really like the original Lilo and Stitch. I didn't think it was bad, just fine. I didn't grow up with it, I was 22 when the original came out. But to see Disney fumble so bad and so avoidably drove me to make an account here. The actors deserve better than this. The crew deserves better than this. You deserve better than this. Do not waste your time.

They got stitch perfectly represented and lilo was exactly what she was supposed to be. The rest was a kids movie. I went to see it with my 5 year old daughter and she loved it. that’s all that matters. These negative scores are coming from adults ragging on a kid’s movie. I don’t understand what they expect. People are mad that it isn’t exactly mlike the animated movie which Is why they should just go back and watch it

Feel like this one's been getting some hate recently and I'm not really sure I'm on board with all of it. There are some changes made to the material this time around, but nothing ultimately denigratory to the spirit of the original work, I don't think. Do I still wish they'd stop making these? Yeah, I sure do, but that's beside the point. If I'm just looking at this product for what it is, it's fine. Not great, certainly better than some of the other, more recent ventures of this type, but not anything to write home about in either direction. Also, weirdly enough, I feel like there wasn't as much Stitch in this as I think a lot of families were hoping there'd be? Not too much of a heartbreak for me, but with the character looking as well-rendered as he looks here, I would've expected more of an overt showcase of the VFX if I'm being honest. What else is there to say about another one of these live-action remakes that you haven't already heard? Have you seen the original? Yes? Do you like the original? Yes? Cool, you will probably see this and probably not like it as much as that, but probably think it's either fine or ungodly. Rinse and repeat for the next few of these, I guess.

I can't consciously give the movie a great rating because I have so many things to point out that disturb me, and it was really hard to get into the movie and stay focused. Most of the time, with every second I went in watching it, I found myself more and more upset by the underlying and completely ignored truth as it pertains to Pacific Islanders and the native occupants of Hawai'i.Until we begin to decolonize at the core of everything as an audience, as writers, and as people who contribute to the world, we will continue falling short on opportunities where we could have made morality and love shine and carried the meaning of “OHAHA MEANS FAMILY. FAMILY MEANS NO ONE GETS LEFT BEHIND,” forward in a more positive and uniting way.
