In Bruckner’s directorial hands and David Marks’ editing, more information is delivered than ever before, but no plot point is over-explained. Mysteries are allowed their ambiguity.

It’s perfectly entertaining, using Barker’s inventive tropes to tell a solidly gory nightmare, but it’s a pale vanilla shadow of the original.

I loved this movie! I want a sequel! I think it's better than the original.

The new 2022 Hellraiser does some cool stuff when it reaches the back stretch, although the two-hour-long film spends way too long spinning its wheels to get there. It won't tear your soul apart, but at least it's a drop of fresh blood for a series that didn't deserve to stay dead.

It doesn’t always work, and at times it really really doesn’t, but it feels confident and unfettered in a way that so many horror films don’t these days.

For all the flayed flesh and impaled skin in the picture, this Hellraiser isn’t sharp enough.

Not a write-off, but more like a respectful homage than a 2020s update in the manner of Candyman (2021). Perhaps a little disrespect would have been truer to the Clive Barker/Pinhead spirit, which is curiously muted in this outing.

Any ambiguity over the veracity of the story’s events is quickly jettisoned to adhere to the demands of the leaden slasher-film plotting.

Four ️️️️ The graphic gore ratio is on point. New Pinhead is pretty good though the OG Pinhead's voice is far more sinister, this new one has one that is still darkly erotic.

First off, I adore the original HELLRAISER, story and film. It's really one of my favorite horror films. This being the 13/14th(?) part, I had absolutely no expectations whatsoever. And.. I have mixed feelings: I didn't like the dialogue, our main character (Rue from EUPHORIA, but you ordered her from Temu), and how they first present the configuration to work. The reason I love the original is Barker's mix of horror and sex, pleasure and pain, dirty hot guys that are into BDSM stuff. We do get sex here, but not nearly enough and not at all kinky. Our lead just doesn't want to explore her deepest desires. It's more of an accident that the cenobites start appearing around her. I did like, however, the make up and design of the cenobites, really nice work. I loved the new Pinhead/lead cenobite/priestess. And when the story unfolds, it makes sense why the cenobites are doing what they're doing, and how the configuration works. They took a lot of inspiration from part two and expanded on that, especially with the final configuration. Matt and Colin are really cute together, and every guy in this is really hot for some reason. And I noticed a respectable amount of male nudity, but no female nudity, also a plus. The kills are so-so, and the story overall is nothing special but it's all right. What I really respected, though, was the ending and its implications.

It was an interesting movie, but maybe not my type or I just disliked some of it being over the top and some decisions of course people making in it plotwise. But still was an ok watch.

Horror movie made in 2022, which was made a new cycle but failed to become a classic. The characters in the last episode are like a comedy element. I am constantly wondering how far it will continue with the same subject. The only good thing about the movie is that Christopher Young's soundtrack played in the first and second episodes is also included in this episode. Yes, I've wished for this before. But with a good finale, I wished. I think the movie's rating is so high. It is impossible for this movie to get 6 points. 6 points means almost good for a horror movie. This movie is not good. If you ask an ordinary person to write a script for the Hellraiser movie, whose outlines are clear, it will produce such a scenario in the worst case. Also, when you look at the relationships in the movie, one wonders if it's a Netflix production. I end with the words of a teacher. "No, sit down, zero" There is sexuality and nudity in the movie.

The 2022 Hellraiser is a mediocre relaunch of the franchise. I didn't watch the original, but I'm sure it's all better than the last Hellraiser. Hellraiser can hardly be called a horror film, but it's not scary at all. There are not even screamers here. The meeting with the senobites should be clearly presented differently, and there is no information about them in the film. They are simply introduced into the plot as something mundane. Is it exactly a franchise relaunch or a fan movie? Mediocre cast, more than one recognizable actor, weak acting. And this has not yet reached the script. Which literally can fit on 1 piece of A4. Stupid dialogues, lack of motivation for the heroes and the uncertainty of their actions. Hellraiser is an empty, thoughtless project that is obviously created for the commercial purposes of exploiting the franchise. Do not spend your 1.5 hours of time on this.
