It's so rare to be swept away by a presentation of this magnitude. By all means, go.

Lacks the cohesive flow of "Fantasia" and suffers from an attention deficit that seems to mark and flaw our current fast-paced technological era.

One of the last great Disney films that was inspired to use some evidence of using drawings instead of computers to create the image. Much like its predecessor, it captures the link between sound and sight perfectly and adds humour. Good range of musical numbers that are widely known, and the stories that accompany them will be memorable to any viewer.

A millennial medley to the max.

Better in theory than in practice.

Grainy as it looks in its massive Imax blowup, Mickey's misadventures with water and a broom still have the kind of magic even modern technology can't always manage.

It musters both the merits and the drawbacks of the landmark original.

There's some sort of gross egotism involved in linking great music to visuals that are so unabashedly kitschy.

This is a delightful film, a sort of follow up to, or an update of the Fantasia of 1940. I really like how they choreograph the animated sequences so the music matches what happens on screen. Its quite clever and looks surprisingly pleasing to the eye, or I thought so anyway. There are scenes which are quite cheery and optimistic in tone but not all of them are. There's a good range of animals depicted and different classical music played and there's an update, of sorts, to perhaps the most famous sequence or segment from the original film - the Sorceror's Apprentice. It was nice watching this, as I had seen the original film but not in quite some time. I enjoyed this very much. I was surprised to see some of the people who feature in the non animated segments, people including Steve Martin and Bette Midler, I believe. This is a film with lots of enjoyable classical/orchestral pieces, a good variety of 2D animation and some interesting trivia provided by people inbetween the individual pieces. I liked this very much and so I'd recommend it, yes.

Satisfyingly Harmonic
Though it can’t top the 1940 classic, Fantasia 2000 is still a great musical time.

Like its predecessor Fantasia 2000 matches some great music with some great animation, but not much else.

Es prácticamente un refrito sin inspiración alguna de la original Fantasía de 1940, la animación está OK, pero carece de magia.
