Funny and disturbing in the best way, the comedy-drama Austin Found captures something beyond its story of a woman’s obsession with making her little daughter a beauty pageant winner.

Austin Found features a great ensemble cast, but never manages to explore unique territory.

I loved this movie. It felt like an early Coen Brothers film to me. It's a dark comedy so I get why some people won't get it, but it's fun and the actors are damn amazing, especially Craig Robinson and the little girl. Also, I liked that the movie was different from a lot of things we watch these days. It's what cool indie movies are all about. It was great to see how the characters got darker as the movie moved along too. The woman who plays Leann was so believable. I think she's from Freaks and Geeks. I don't normally write reviews, but that's my take on Austin Found.

Oh my gosh I just watched this movie on Hulu and wow it was crazy!!!!! It started slow and I almost didn't get into it, but after 15-20 minutes it got so good! I love love love this movie! I can't believe I never heard about it before.

The cast is rounded out with likable comedians, but this fable can’t decide if it’s going to be deliciously bad or morally upstanding.

Linda Cardellini can play just about anything, with honesty and delicacy, so it's no surprise she makes even a semi-sweet nothing like Austin Found worth a look.

The cast is surely capable of sharper comedy, but Will Raee, who directed, doesn’t get everyone on the same page. Ms. Cardellini and Ms. Schaal offer cardboard caricatures, while Mr. Ulrich, among others, plays it mostly straight.

The conspicuous means by which Will Raee stacks the deck against Leanne, the real victim of this story, is matched only by a moral grandstanding that seeks to condemn rather than understand the character’s decisions.

What do people actually like about this monstrosity? Because I think that it's horrible in almost every way possible. Even the plot of this film makes me want to blow up every house in sight. It's basically about a woman wanting to get her daughter kidnapped for money and many other inexplicable reasons. Really? Was this film made by psychopaths? It must have been, because aside from two people, every character is a huge **** to one another. The voice acting also ****, and the writing is almost the equivalent to House Across the Street. This is the worst film of 2017 I've seen! Even the Emoji Movie is more tolerable than this. One of the worst films in existence.
