It was ok but I dont think making this movie made any sense for one the ending to the devils rejects, was perfect, they went out like outlaws. It reminded me of a tales from the crypt episode called show down where an outlaw shoots 4 cops before going down Making this made no sense.

Ugh. I did not enjoy this at all. All the things that I didn’t like about the previous two films, House of 1000 Corpses (2003) and The Devil's Rejects (2005) are back again but this time it has aged really badly. The format is three unlikeable antiheroes going around killing people for no real reason. This time the violence is fairly implied with lots of blood splattering around and CGI blood. Please can filmmakers stop using CGI for gore and violence in horror films, it really takes away from the impact. There is no gore to speak of. No story. No characters except the evil 3 from hell. Seriously, how does this lack of imagination even get made?

I think it was getting a bit too predictable and all too familiar by this third installment of House Of 1000 Corpses. There was nothing spectacular about this film and just like The Devil's Reject, 3 From Hell failed to deliver the visual opulence as 1000 Corpses did. Still, it's nice to see family sticking together! LOL.

3 rednecks against the cartel

There's a pretty good idea here as 3 From Hell intends to take the Firefly family down to Mexico to see what chaos they can cause south of the border. Unfortunately, due to the position Rob Zombie left them in at the end of The Devil's Rejects he first has to make it believable that they can come back to create more carnage. This forces things into a start so slow it takes up half the running-time as the redneck killer clan must escape incarceration, replace Captain Spaulding who gets written out because of Sid Haig's illness (R.I.P.), and become involved in an extended torture sequence involving a prison warden's loved ones that comes off like a direct retread of the motel segment from the film's aforementioned predecessor. Of course, even when Zombie finally manages to bring the group together and sets them on the run again there is still a rather serious problem: none of the action feels inspired. There's plenty of the director's signature vulgarity and filth, but it's as if he slapped it all onscreen for a paycheck rather than the crudity being the result of having any truly creative vision. I did get a kick out of the more absurd aspects such as the bloody showdown with the satanic luchador gang in the final act, but the majority of this is flat and strained in a way I'm not used to from a filmmaker with a usually potent distinctive style. So much is just watching the villainous protagonists goof off and have a good time in a twisted mimicry of endearing road trip flicks because their creator made the mistake of thinking we actually like them. I suppose that's a reasonable assumption to have about an audience returning for a third outing with these characters, but given their irritating personalities and the appeal other brutal horror franchises have enjoyed, for example Friday the 13th or Saw, I think common-sense would dictate we're here for the grindhouse violence above all else rather than out **** attachment to the monsters leaving bodies in their wake. I certainly didn't want to see them survive the vengeful son of one of their former victims who shows up once they flee the country after all. A quality worth praising is the casting of Richard Brake who evidently impressed so much on the set of 31 he was chosen to fill the hole left behind by the passing of a horror icon, which he does in another notably mesmerizing deranged fashion. The gore is also really impressive in spots. However, while the previous movie simply wasn't for me, this chapter in the chronicles of these psychopaths is a genuine misstep. A tepid mixture of halfhearted savagery and lackadaisical hang around vibes that amount to another significant step back from the standout thrills of House of 1000 Corpses while carrying with it the objectionable hints of having only been created for a payday. Hopefully the musician turned exploitation cinema maestro can get this meat wagon back on track since if this made any real money given his apparent affection for these murderous degenerates it likely won't be the last we see of the trio, and I'd rather not dread their next bloodbath.

Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell is the third film in his House Of 1000 Corpses trilogy and a flick I was lucky enough to catch a one night Halloween screening of in Australia. Definitely the worst of the trilogy but still a fun ride and a good time for Rob Zombie fans (me included). Check it out if you're a fan or into this type of horror but if not then I’d say avoid this one. 5/10 Jay x

The first 15 minutes of the movie are fine. Perhaps nostalgia speaks. Then it becomes boring, tedious and without a well defined approach. The ending is predictable and bad. I wasted time of my life watching this piece of crap.

It's clear that Sid's health problems and passing affected the script of this film in a big way. So much so that I am sure Rob would have loved to take this one back for a proper re-write because so much of it makes no sense and was clearly written on the fly. Spalding is given the death penalty while the other two get life, Baby gets life with the possibility of parole. Otis is put on a chain-gang quickly allowing his escape. It's just dumb stuff that obviously would never happen but for plot purposes it does and it's just insulting. There's no enjoyment to be found in this movie, Just disappointment.

The Devil's Rejects is one of my all time favorite movies. I am a fan of Zombie's work generally, though I think Halloween 2 and 31 were middling. This one was, however, a disaster. Many of the scenes were like bad music videos which didn't advance the plot in the least. I'm gonna chalk it up to Sid Haig's unfortunate health issues and say better luck next time. I won't abandon Zombie as a director over it, but this was just not a good film by any metric.

it's too bad that after reaching high in his last movie Rob Zombie decided to dumb everything down so hard. Especially considering that just 10 or 20 seconds more consideration would have helped a script with this much potential. There are so many pieces in place for this to be something special, but unfortunately "3 FROM HELL" is about the most boring and average movie one could imagine, despite a few ascents into greatness

If you're a fan of Rob Zombie's films, I have nothing left but to say that here you will find the same thing he has been doing since he began his career with House of 1000 Corpses. For my part, I have always believed that he's a lousy director and this film doesn't come to tell me something new or make me change my mind. You can like it or you can hate it, for my part there are no half measures and I say it frankly, I didn't like it and I didn't enjoy it at all. Those who love it, then enjoy. RIP Sid Haig.

Fantastic Sequel to The Devils Rejects! While not quite as near perfection as Devils Rejects was, it was still very well done. We only see the legend Sid Haig for one scene but it is a great scene, rip to a legend.. glad we got to see him again. It is raw, violent and fun to watch, I enjoyed it more than House of 1000 Corpses but not quite as much as The Devils Rejects. I hope Rob Zombie gets a big budget for his next movie, he has deserved it.

Well, where to begin. So I'll start by saying that The House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects are two of my favorite movies, not just Rob Zombie movies, but favorite movies in general. So imagine my excitement when 3 From Hell was being released. I never went to a limited theater release, first night sold out, so second night got tickets. I'm thinking, this is going to be awesome being in a theater with a bunch of other fans. Well, the movie ended, nobody cheered, there was no conversation, and everybody just kind of muddled their way out of the theater. I think the expectation was to high and the movie just doesn't deliver at all. Let me explain. What you have in the 3 From Hell is basically a reboot of The Devils Rejects only less creative. The plot is nearly identical, and there are scenes that are just very familiar. What made The Devils Rejects great was that it was different from House of 1000 Corpses, and the Sheriff character. This movie should've been made probably 7 years ago so Spalding could have had a bigger role. But unfortunately the "bad guy" in this movie is boring and the whole concept is just dumb in my opinion. The Sheriff in TDR you could see his descent into madness trying to catch our "heroes", it was great, and the actor playing the role played it perfectly. 3 From Hell, has no such character. I liked how the beginning was set up, but the first two movies were in your face pretty quickly in, not in this movie, you have a nice little wait before things really get going, and then when they do get going, it's pretty short lived between events. I really wanted to see some crazy mayhem but it just never really happens, the last I'd say 25% of the movie feels almost identical to TDR, right down to the **** house. Caught off guard and have to fight out. Really Rob, you couldn't have come up with anything new for these characters? I guess the one redeeming quality is that it looks like there might be another movie and if there is, man I hope it is a lot better than this, what a disappointment after waiting all this time.

Was really pumped up for this movie. I bought advanced screening tickets was front and center night 1. All and all I laughed I cringed and thats about it. the Clown scene was best part of the flick. The ending was Meh and the added Captian Spalding replacement DoomHead /foxy who I think is a badass actor. His character foxy was so forced and. Out of place. I've been a Rob Zombie Film maker fan since day one 3 from hell is my least favorite of all his films.

If you’re a fan of the previous films in this now trilogy then this is a fun ride . It holds the same style and attitude. Zombie shines with these characters and this universe. He seems to be having fun and not trying to prove or force anything. Not for everyone of course. His fans and horror nerds should enjoy as well as the curious film enthusiast.
