A fantastic game with amazing graphics and great gameplay; it's become even more realistic. I really enjoyed it.

I don't understand these ratings from the audience. Do they really hate the game? The game is very good, enjoyable, and smooth.

Ignore The Critics Folks I Get The Idea That The Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre Went on For Too Long But That Doesn't Mean You Have Yo Give WWE 2025 A Bad Review At Least I Mean Yeah We All Agree That Drew McIntyre Should Have Won In Clash In Paris And Not Only Was It Not Drew McIntyre The Match Wasn't Even In The Card this is all Due To Cody Rhodes Was Filming Street Fighter So It Got Postponed To a US Show Like WrestlePaloza And They Didn't Pull The Trigger Anyway instead we Waited Until Survivor Series For His Team to Win And Another 6 Weeks On An Episode of SmackDown the Finally Win The WWE Championship Before Dropping It Back To Cody 2 Weeks Ago On SmackDown And Yes 2 Months is Not Enough if it Was Clash In Paris it Would Have Been 6 Months and 6 months is a lengthy reign or if Street Fighter Still Happens then it would have Been 5 Months Instead of 2 Months I Hate To Say This But I May Have Lose Faith In Cody I'm Losing My Interest on Him Now Welp it's Official WWE 2025 (The Netflix Era (So Far)) Is Now Officially 1 of The Most Disappointing TV Shows I've Ever Seen In My Life But It's Not as Bad as NFL 2016 (The Modern/Current One (The One From Madden 17 Up Until Now Which Is Madden 26)) I Still Think NFL 2016 Is Way Worse
So To Everyone Who Is Not Aware of This Feud That I Mentioned Earlier And WWE 2025 As A Whole Or If You're A Casual Gamer Like Me Just Ignore This Critics And Focus On Playing The WWE 2K26 Is On The PS5

Normal game play is decent Online gameplay is terrible. Glitches continue to carry over No Elimination chamber. Street fights is only up to 3 players. No creative matches The games crash more than ever. Went back to playing 2k25 I want my money back

Gameplay:
Weapons physics are a great addition, but the game feels the same as 2k25 (and 22,23,24) after a few hours of play
CC:
Create an arena is broken
No crossplay for PC
Create a championship is broken too
MyFaction:
Unplayable with the new stamina system and al the stupid rules 2k makes for every Match, everything is very expensive.
The Island: It's okey, but they make half of the CAS part unlockables of this mode, which is greedy as F***.
MyGM:
Didn't touch it, should be one with Universe.
Universe:
It's the Game mode with the greatest potential, so they barely update it so people go play MF and The Island (because they don't care about players, they Only care about money.
MyRise:
It's way worse than 2k25. Most of the mode is playing random matches until You played enough to get to a other chapter of the VERY SHORT story.
Ringside Pass:
Why we have to grind for things we paid a Lot of money to play? 2k really hates their customers, there are a Lot of Bugs in this Game and they focused on patching the method that Made it easy to get the things we paid for instead of fixing the f*k*n broken Game. Ps: Fire Brian Mazique, a 2k dev that wants to tell us how we are supposed to play the game and how we are supposed to have fun with it. I can't recommend the Game in the state it is as of right now.

I understand the branding clothing, but hairstyles shouldn't be locked behind the island at all. You could make the ringside pass work by giving us 759,000 VC just for hairstyles. Since you patched the Easy E method. You could call it a discount in the Barbershop. Then I'll buy other things on the island for sure.

Yes, the game has the flashy new "ragdoll physics" now, yes the Island has a few new features. But all of that is shadowed by the sheer audacity of now implementing predatory Monetization methods like the Battle/Season passes, when MyFaction and the Island already existed, just turns me away from a franchise i loved for most of my life. Don't even get me started on how it seemingly is a big no-no for the game devs when players use a little trick to speed up progressing through the Passes and say it's "circumventing the system", but it's A-OK to pay an extra 70-80$ bucks to buy Tier-skips to speed up the progress all the same. Ridiculous. And the very fact, that 2K does not bother fixing bugs and issues that have been persisting through many WWE 2K games for YEARS, but just need one/two days to patch a bug, that allowed people to grind through their predatory Battle passes a little faster, just goes to show you, where 2K Games priorities truly are.

Paying £140 for the Monday Night War Edition and getting hit in the face with a Fortnite styled battle pass that you can way more just to skip? **** right off 2K.

Greatest Wrestling Game I’ve Ever Played The Ringside pass is the only thing bad about this game gameplay is better than 2k14 but ringside pass ain’t a deal breaker for me 10/10

A battle pass system when spending $150 on this game is not worth it with half the roster being locked when they were free pretty much in the previous games. This is 2k being too greedy , and with the island and my **** of these micro transactions has made this game terrible plus if I spend a hundred and fifty dollars on this game , I should not have to pay for the battle pass

WWE 2K26 has some genuinely fun aspects. The gameplay feels solid, and the addition of ragdoll mechanics brings a welcome layer of realism and unpredictability to matches. Sure, there are a few bugs here and there, but nothing game-breaking — they’re tolerable in the grand scheme of **** real problem, however, is not the gameplay. What kills this game is the Ringside Pass system and the avalanche of microtransactions. 2K’s greed is on full display here. The Ringside Pass is predatory by design: it forces players into endless grinding or, worse, paying extra just to progress through tiers. Most of us don’t have the time to farm endlessly, and being asked to pay on top of the full game price just to unlock meaningful progression is **** short, WWE 2K26 could have been a great wrestling game, but 2K’s obsession with monetization has strangled it. Their greed turned what should be a fun experience into a frustrating, exploitative mess. The Ringside Pass didn’t just hurt the game — it outright killed it.

Very poor and preparatory. I’ve been a fan of the franchise prior to 2k receiving the rights, and more and more they’ve taken advantage of the fans. And this is at its worse. For starters - please ignore the “overwhelmingly positive” critic reviews. They likely: 1. Received their copy for free so don’t have financial input in it.
3. Didn’t play it long enough to experience its multiple modes and bugs. The games ringside pass and overall product cost not only takes advantage of players,
It repositions parts of the product that we’ve had for years as re-priced assets. In addition, the purple stamina bar penalises gameplay, especially competitive modes to makes most modes feel like the games actively playing against you before you step in the ring. On top of that, the game is missing a tonne of bugs and polish, including use of AI that reinforced those problems. Coupled with poor social media interactions from their team, including their social media manager of the 2k account to add a further distaste to the poor experience, it’s a highlight on how lack of ability to refund digital products should be rewritten. I will never buy another WWE game as long as 2K at the helm.

I wanted to enjoy WWE 2K26, but the monetization around unlocking characters really killed the experience for me. Locking wrestlers behind either an extreme grind or a $150 paywall feels ridiculous. One of the fun parts of wrestling games used to be unlocking characters by actually playing the game naturally. Now it feels like you either spend a ton of money or spend hours grinding modes you might not even **** someone who just wants to hop in and play matches with friends, it’s frustrating. By the time you unlock everything through gameplay, you’re already burned out. It turns what should be a simple “pick a wrestler and have fun” experience into a **** honestly reminds me of going on a whole Mario-style adventure just to do something basic. Or like a John Wick movie where a massive chain of events happens over something small — except here it’s just trying to play with the full roster. At that point the fun is **** gameplay itself can be good, but decisions like this make the game feel less like a wrestling sandbox and more like a monetization trap. If future games respected players’ time instead of pushing them toward expensive unlocks, the series would be a lot more enjoyable. There needs to be transparency as to what will come with the tiers before someone buys this piece of crap. Buyer beware. 2k is a bunch of grifters

2k is ruining this franchise with every new addition. A 70 dollar game with 4 different priced editions up to 150 dollars, still has a paid battle pass you have to grind to unlock the characters you paid for, Myfaction mode with paid card packs and VC, MyIsland with VC packs and cosmetic items locked behind vc like hairstyles and clothing, again that can be bought with real money. Save your money

Instead of enjoying the game when I first started it, I was stuck in a QR cod loop and than I contacted 2k customer support and I received automated responses. I provided proof of payment the issue with photos and all the details perfectly. Nothing was done, so even that I was loial for 20 years to 2k games and both they're products, I finally learned my lesson and deleted the game, my steam account, and apply for my 2k account termination via customer support. So good luck with QR codes scanning and battlepases further. Good job !

Paid $150 just for a game full of bugs and all extras locked behind a battle pass that is an absolute grind fest. Please save your money.

You pay 230 dollars (AUD)
To get all the DLC only for you have to do the battle pass! And if you dont you looking at over 170 dollers ( at most to skip buy skips) it makes so sense! And if you play local play with your friends you dont get any RXP! In a competitive match you cant even play universe mode with 2 controllers! With no RXP!!!

A $70 base game should never come with a battle pass system that is predatory. It is coercing players to pay another $70 to unlock content the already paid for. 2Kms greed with both WWE and NBA games is insane.

I paid over 150 dollars and I cannot play as the wrestlers that I want. Some are locked behind the battle pass. This battle pass costs time or money to unlock tiers. I would need to pay 50 dollars to unlock the wrestler I want **** other wrestler is locked behind my faction card packs. That is gambling combined with waiting for 2k to decide to make the card available to unlock. There is a challenge right now to unlock a wrestler I want, but I need a card that I literally cannot unlock in order to play the challenge for the **** graphics are not too great. The versions of the characters are inconsistent with what they actually looked like. For example Shawn Michaels has a picture from 2005 as his 1998 version. Kane has two sleeves in his 1998 version. The creators did not know much about the wrestlers and did not care to find out. When wrestling the mechanics are off. The camera angles are bad during tag matches, the tag partners will block the characters. The wrestlers get stuck doing animations. The frame rates drop and players outfits become blurry. It’s just not finished. A lot of arenas and characters are locked behind showcase mode also. I do not like CM Punk. I do not want to play showcase mode. I could go on but this is unacceptable enough for you to understand. This is a poorly executed game.

2K deciding to charge $170 thinking that earned us the PRIVILEGE to grind 5,400+ matches or pay $1000 extra to unlock everything we already paid for is **** criminal let alone insane. They expect us to buy 2K27 ? It's not bad its criminal.

WWE 2K26 is a complete trash, full of bugs that ruin the experience and make every match frustrating. The game is expensive, and even after paying a high price, you still have to deal with costly passes to unlock content that used to come with the game. It's hard to really enjoy it when everything seems designed to squeeze you financially while you struggle with glitches and poorly designed systems. It's better to stick with 2K25 and 2K24 instead.

I'm giving 3 only because the gameplay itself is pretty good it is very fun but what the hell is that AAA pass stuff?? It was already bad when we had to obtain the stuff we already got in the previous games and now we have to pay plus grind like crazy just tı get the stuff we already had in the previous game? That's absolutely absurd.

This game represents greed. 2/10 for decent gameplay, but honestly it should be at 0. 2K has to give up the licence, sell it to someone who actually cares about their players. Ringside Pass is one of the worst things in modern wrestling gaming history, $2 to skip one tier is ridiculous. Creation Suite is decent, not too many changes from last year, Showcase I really enjoyed, MyRise is not bad either. New match types and gameplay mechanics are expected and I will not rate them as something groundbreaking and positive. Gameplay is good. Unfortunately 2K also included what they haven't even been trying to hide in the last 3 years of these games and that's their toxic and very scammy way of **** money out of consumer's pockets. Using our love for wrestling against us players and doing everything in their power to project their greed everytime they get the chance. Last year I bought the Bloodline Edition, this year I bought Standard Edition after I found out I won't even have anything unlocked even if I pay for it. Next year I'll probably quit these games, I'm sick of it. Like I said 2/10, and that's me being VERY generous.

The most egregious display i've ever seen of greed in a video game, it should actually be ilegal. Besides hiding a lot of superstarts (which were free the previous years) behind DLCs, now there comes the ringside pass, which you can also spend money on to skip levels and unlock the DLC you already paid for. They will only stop this crazy monetization strategies if we stop buying their games so please don't buy this.

Despite improvements to the gameplay nothing can justify the horrible pass. You have to pay money to earn the right to work for characters. Will be returning this the moment I can

The Ringside Pass is completely predatory. 2K is trying to turn their games into online gambling looshing. Stay away at all costs. It's not even a good game. They recycle the same thing every year with minor tweaks exactly like Madden.

Dont buy this game. Or else EVERY game forward will have this greedy battle pass bs - with previously free items locked behind it - even when you pay $170. Which is beyond insane.

This game is not even worth the $60 dollars version. It keeps freezing on me and crashes almost every time I try to play. Also if you like making custom championship or arenas then you will quickly see they haven’t made any upgrades to those areas at. Finally the worst part is the season pass. I should have skipped this year as well.

The gameplay is better than 2k25 and 2k24 but the biggest problem is the ringside because it requires a lot of grinding.

Good gameplay can not excuse the awful monetization and unfixed issues from previous years. The devs are straight up telling us they don't care and show it in their quest for greed. Typical 2k game nothing to see here.
Fire the two Brian dudes who try gaslighting the players every year with their social media accounts and interviews and who work on this game every year with little improvement, they just ain't good at their jobs.
Like one of them said "It's not about having fun,it's about circumventing the system"..

This is a piece of **** game which had great potential if they just left the unlocks Lea like last year and not added the god awful ringside pass. Utter bull **** ****. Please do not waste your money on this

WWE 2K26 is a terrible game because it feels like a lazy upgrade rather than a true new installment. The gameplay can be clunky, with awkward animations and inconsistent reversals that make matches feel frustrating instead of exciting. On top of that, the game often pushes players toward grinding or spending extra money to unlock content, which takes away from the fun of simply playing. Technical issues like bugs, glitches, and occasional crashes also hurt the experience and make the game feel unfinished. Because of this, many fans feel that Visual Concepts and 2K released a game that doesn’t do enough to justify its price or improve the series.

Paying for DLC and then grinding to unlock the thing you paid is a crazy stupid concept. You can either rob me of my time or my money, you can't rob me of both and expect me to support your product.

At the time of writing this review, I have 64 hours played in game. Don't buy this game it is a predatory experience. The new stamina system is terrible, especially since the AI isn't affected by it. Even when the AI is out of counters, it will infinitely reverse. Every system in this game is designed to frustrate you to the point that you spend more money on the game. This is a f2p/p2w game that costs $70-$150. DO NOT BUY. I wish I could refund this absolute garbage. If you want a wrestling game, buy Fire Pro instead. If you are wondering, I am one of the many marks that bought the $150 Monday Night Wars Edition.

Gameplay is improved from 2K25, which was already strong, and CM Punk’s Showcase offers a fresh take on the mode with some cool new unlockables. Unfortunately, that’s about where the positives end. The introduction of the “Ringside Pass” and 2K’s obvious push toward tier skips create a tedious grind to unlock legends, belts, and arenas that used to be readily available. The Ringside Pass also reveals a company that doesn’t even seem to understand the people who purchase its products. What was once a rewarding progression system now feels like a paywall, making the overall experience frustrating and close to unplayable.

Awesome update to the franchise. I've spent so many hours already playing with the ragdoll physics. The game just looks better and feels smoother than it has in recent years. Not a DLC buyer so generally okay and even enjoy the rewards from Ringside Pass. Back to it!

I'm honestly surprised how much I'm loving the game this year. So many new ways to play and quality of life updates to Universe. My whole friend group has been loving it! The battle pass might have a little too much focus right now, but it's nice to just play how I want and consistently unlock rewards I wasn't getting last year. Only dipped my toe in The Island a bit so far, but I can already tell it's a big improvement from last year and I'm excited to keep playing :D

Hands down the worst/greediest battlepass system in video games. To pay $150 for a game, and still have to unlock characters that were normally in the base game now hidden behind a battle-pass is criminal. This is probably the most anti-consumer battle pass/early access I’ve ever experienced. Graphics are good and the variety of matches is a plus. MyRise has gone backwards sadly, and the Island is a choppy boring inclusion yet again.

Absolutely disgusted what these money grabbing thieves have done. Removing the accelerator and making people grind for content they have paid extra. Luckily I was able to get a full refund from Xbox. I have bought every WWF/E video game since Wrestlemania on the SEGA Megadrive. I’m baffled at this decision but it’s clear they want people to pay for the tier skips. Scum bags!!!

Worst corporate dog ****. Greed, greed, greed. Never I will buy their garbage again. If you plan to buy expensive edition of the game prepare to pay much more or grind. You cant have what you already payed for.

Insanely egregious and unprecedented levels of greed from 2k in regards to monetization that overrules whatever is good. This is just 2k25 with a fortnite-esque battlepass. Avoid at all costs!!

This isn’t Fortnite or Siege my former Big Dawg turned Tribal Chief. If 2K is going to try to be like Fighting games that keep their games going for years with character passes and gameplay updates to keep people occupied while they work on their next game, you should follow their game models. 2K is not Capcom or Bandai. 2K releases yearly, predatory Sports Slop. In WWE 2K25 when you bought the season pass you got many wrestlers, arenas, moves and some CAW parts and as they were released throughout the year you had instant access to them because you paid for them. No need to grind. In WWE 2k26 you will get the same amount of those things but when they get released you will ether A. Spends HOURS grinding to unlock these things you paid for or B. Pay for tier skips so you can get access to the content you already paid for, but faster since they make grinding for them exactly like the Fight Money situation in the early Street Fighter 5 days. Hard and nerfed payouts to the point you just pay the extra to get the stuff you wanted faster. Yes. If you don’t have time to grind for what you paid for with your own money or don’t want to waste your time grinding for the stuff you paid extra for, 2K is saying “it’s okay. Just give us more money to unlock the content you already paid for” 2K has been keeping a close eye on this and have already patched out and nerfed exp farming methods with low payouts in attempts to get people to spend money on their tier passes since $70-$150 wasn’t enough money for them. They will nerf anything that will hinder profits. Capcom did it with SF5. It’s only going to get worse with their updates since this game has ALOT of micro transaction that are constantly pushed and advertised to you while you play. So anywhere from $70 to $150 to buy the game or DLC or both. You gotta grind for the extra stuff you paid for and if you don’t want to do the grind or don’t have time for the grind for 40 levels each season, it’s okay, for $1.99 you can skip a single level. Which equals to about $80 if you don’t want to grind 40 levels, every season. Each season is $9.99. There are six seasons $9.99 x 6 = $59.94. Standard game cost $70 plus tax + $59.94 + $80 tier skips for one season = $209 plus tax which is more than the Monday Night War Edition. If you skip all the tiers for all 6 seasons alone you spent $480 now add the cost of the base game and total cost for the season pass ontop of that and you spent $609 total on this game where full support gets dropped in 8 months because WWE 2K27 is coming out. MNW Edition Game Cost $150 plus tax + $80 tier skip for one season = $230 plus tax. Skip all tiers and you spent $630 Don't forget MyFaction, where all you do is spend real world money on cards, hoping to get a special card that’s randomly generated and not guaranteed to get a new outfit or do a certain match just to unlock a certain wrestler you can only unlock through myfaction. Btw, the only way to progress through the default myfaction path is to eventually spend real money anyway. VC cost here are $4.99 to $99.99. You can also use VC on the Island Mode, but I also remember on the Island Last year they wanted me to spend money on VC to unlock Bill Goldberg and the one Bella chick but he’s in the game this year for free. Let me tell you about Bill Goldberg after my review. That’s also not including spending real money on your myrise character to boost their stats for $9.99. I miss paying $9.99 for the WWE Network. I miss those Vince McMahon prices. Vince wouldn’t let this or those ticket prices happen. But if you’re the best in the world, we know you ain’t gonna do any of that stuff. Do the math my Tribal Chief, especially if you’re a parent buying this game for your kids. Is it worth it this year? Especially when these games end up on PSN+ for free? In previous games you didn’t have to grind for your DLC wrestlers. They automatically unlocked. You had the accelerator that came with your season pass that unlocks everything in the base game outside of Showcase Mode to use while you waited for the DLC roster to release. Or you could buy it separately for $1.99 and unlock everything in the base game if you thought the season pass wrestlers were weak. I beat up Hogan with New Jack and The New Day so many times last year. That’s insane and the mainstream game reviewers listed on meta critic are praising this game and not calling any of this out. Those are definitely paid for reviews lol. They don’t mention ANY of this. That practice alone from 2K when it comes trying to double dip on season passes or battle passes should warrant low scores. This is sadly going to be the thing that will be happening EVERY YEAR since this is a yearly release and NONE of your purchases will carry over the following year. Stay away from this mess. Do not buy this. The gameplay is over shadowed by predatory microstransactions and constant advertising of them. Bill Goldberg fears Danhausen.

This is the worst game 2K has ever made. The gameplay is slow and choppy. The battle pass is a joke. The create a wrestler features being limited also a joke. The custom Entrances don't work. How do you remove previous gen consoles and make a worse game?
