2K, Visual Concepts & Take Two decided to double down this year with micro transactions. Everything is locked behind a paywall this year. The cost to unlock a different attire for a wrestler can sometimes cost double or triple of what you paid for the game itself. They also introduced a battle pass system... Which they then locked 90% of the roster behind. This system will make this years game completely unplayable once servers get shut down. There will be no picking up an older copy to play with an older roster with this game. If you were to purchase this game in let's say two years from now when servers are down, you'll have no way to unlock 90% of the in game roster. This isn't just bonus characters that are locked, no it's almost the entire advertised roster locked behind a 40 level battle pass. This years title is by far the biggest example of corporate greed in the video game industry. I would not only suggest skipping this years game but skipping out on every WWE 2K game so that they inevitably lose the license and we can get back to having games made for the consumers instead of the ones just intended to line their pockets.

Meglio dello scorso anno, gameplay che leggermente meno macchinoso dello scorso anno, si spera che per il prossimo facciano un salto di qualità ha livello grafico

WWE 2K26 is one of the most disappointing entries in the series. The game brings almost nothing new to the table and feels like a lazy copy of WWE 2K25 — except in many aspects it’s actually worse. Gameplay still feels stiff and repetitive, animations are recycled again and again, and the overall experience becomes boring after just a few matches. The biggest disaster is MyRise. The story mode is terribly written, full of cringe dialogue, predictable twists, and completely uninteresting characters. Player choices barely matter, and the entire mode feels rushed and uninspired. Instead of improving the career experience, WWE 2K26 turns it into a chore. The developers clearly focused more on microtransactions and grinding than on real innovation. Menus are slow, some bugs from previous games are still present, and the AI can behave in frustrating and unrealistic ways. For a “new” release, this game feels more like an overpriced patch than a true sequel. If you already own WWE 2K25, there is almost no reason to buy WWE 2K26.

Greedy pigs! I have a life and a job, I don't have time for your cheating AI and terrible mini games, 2K! The section where they lock away extra wrestlers and costumes is an expensive worthless slog. Myfaction is not fun, the matches are often a waste of time even if you win; it's a second job and the rewards, cost and grind are horribly unbalanced. 2K24 also was horribly unbalanced but the gameplay with the AI was fun. The AI in 2K26 just cheats and at any moment will make you utterly waste the time you spent since the bell rung. Do yourself a favour and don't pay for it.

Nervig Kamera Einstellungen in mein Fraktion Modus und der Violetta Ausdauerbalken ist in allen Modi komplett überflüssig und muss entfernt werden und das Spiel ist den Kauf nicht wert und man sollte sich das kaufen sparen

Why to many glitches while playing weekly and faction. Wont switch to other opponents automatically sometimes or will switch to the ref or someone not nearest to you. Objects will go right through yoir opponents, not hitting them, giving the computer time to grapple.?
Price is completely ridiculous for what you receive. WWE in general has went down the toilet. So much for family entertainment. Cussing, middle fingers in the air. Wont allow my 10 year old to even watch it anymore. Complete garbage! Im not personally down with the men fighting women bs, raised differently I guess.

I have loved wrestling for decades now. And some of these 2k Releases have been fun. But this year marks the year 2K avarice has gone too far. Even after paying the insane price tag on the Monday Night War addition of the game, I was NOT met with an endless treasure trove of retro content and nostalgia fulfilling hours of fun I expected with the premium price tag (as hours and hours of marketing had promised). It was convoluded menus and online modes, confusing season passes, microtransaction systems to pay away those grinds (even though that used to be why you payed over $60), only to be met with even still MORE additional grinds and paywalls to get to the 90's era fun I was promised. I was so fatigued by the locked away championship titles and arenas and wrestlers (even though I spent over $130 USD) that I didn't even play any matches or game modes at all. I just sat there; dumbfounded on my phone for an hour wondering how the hell do I refund my money for this scam job. Only to find out, I was already **** out of the cash I had foolishly spent, hoping to feel some of the joy from my childhood again, and that was the whole point of this money hole to begin with.

This game's monitization feels like exploitation at this point. The cost is not worth it especially since the majority of desired content is from the past retold over and over.

This should’ve been the one. This should’ve been the release where the entire community was singing the praises of 2K. In typical 2K fashion, they are their own worst enemies. Between the corporate greed that is on full display in this title and the annual broken nature of the game on release, this is probably their worst title since 2K20 and I would go so far as to say it’s worse. Using a battle pass system for an annual release that is charging a AAA price tag is insane. If you want the full edition, you are now paying $150 and that makes this the most expensive wrestling game in history. What do we get for that? Paid content or content that has always been included at launch that is now hidden behind a pay wall that incentivizes you to pay additional money to advance the stories and gain points to unlock what you’ve already paid for. Clipping issues that have been fixed years ago are back like a bad time warp. And there are many of us in the community self included that cannot even access community creations because it automatically crashes the game and we are now over a month into the release. 2K’s response is we are working on the problem. You don’t need to reply to us anymore. I wonder how many months until I can actually use the game that I paid for.? if you haven’t already bought this, I would never recommend spending more than $20. You know you have a bad title when SONY Nintendo and steam are all offering refunds. This does not happen often. Stay as far away from this as you can.

I never really leave reviews, let alone bad ones. I grew up playing Legends of Wrestling and Smackdown Vs Raw. I always wanted these 2k games to be good so I followed reviews and watched for a good one every year. I finally gave it a shot last year because it was finally getting good reviews. When this year came out I was so excited for all the additions and fixes to the game and when I found out all of the legends that were going to be added I knew I had to get it. So I paid $150 because of the nostalgia and that is where everything went wrong. It was never stated that this was going to be a "battle pass" and not a DLC like all the games before. To me a DLC is something we pay for and receive on purchase. I have always seen games call things “Season Passes” meaning you are paying for all DLC up front. A battle pass makes sense for a FREE game. I even tried to give it a try and have played through the story mode twice and I am still not even half way through the pass. They expect you to do this for another 5 "seasons", with no new content other than the glitchy bugged out Island. No one will want to grind out close to 500 matches per season to receive everything we paid for. The very last thing is that community creations is separate from the console ones. I understand that they don't want any possible modded superstars on console but there is no reason it can not be one way and I should still be able to download from console. There are not as many good creators on PC as there are between all of the ones on consoles. So that is just another thing to be aware of. This will be my last time playing a 2k game.

I can't suggest wasting your money or time on this product until the issues are with the game play. Just to name one Submission matches are so over tuned the CPU can submit you at the very start of the match. Even while using in game side plate mechanics to strengthen your character it will submit you on the send attempt at times. I find it to be mind blowing its tuned so high that when searching strategy for defeating these required for progression matches9 out of 10 say invest in a turbo controller.

If you want to find an example why gaming is dying, here ya go. Buy the most expensive version, then grind to unlock what you bought. But the amount of grinding is so tedious that 2k will graciously let you skip it. If you pay more. It is everything wrong w modern gaming. Its why AAA is dying and indi games are crushing it. People can only put up w so much before they walk away and I cant think of a better reason to walk away than this game.

WWE 2K26 delivers an outstanding experience and clearly shows how much the series has evolved. One of its biggest strengths is the impressive graphics: the Superstars look more detailed than ever, and the in-ring animations feel smooth and highly **** gameplay has seen noticeable improvements as well. The controls are more precise, making matches feel both dynamic and accessible for newcomers. At the same time, veteran players will appreciate the added mechanics that bring more strategic depth to the action.Another major highlight is the expanded career mode. The story is engaging and offers meaningful choices, keeping the experience fresh and exciting. The creation suite also stands out once again, providing extensive options to design your own wrestlers, arenas, and **** soundtrack and overall presentation further enhance the atmosphere, capturing the true spirit of WWE. Altogether, WWE 2K26 manages to appeal to both long-time fans and new players, making it one of the strongest entries in the series. Conclusion: A powerful wrestling game with great improvements, plenty of content, and a high level of fun.

No entrance music while streaming, no DLC packs, a micro transactional hell scape, the island feels like DC online with a wrestling mini game, My Rise feels like a mobile game, in this modern age and at its price point 2K26 shows everything you love about a game can be put behind paywalls and stripped of there essence
now the graphics, performance and overall feel of gameplay has improved unfortunately not enough to seperate this game from the previous year, you will essentially be paying handing 2K your hard earned cash to watch your wrestler hit a newly introduced purple stamina bar that leaves you completely defenceless against a A.I that doesn’t suffer the same problem What about the Creation suite? Well, it’s the same, no improvements have been made to the very limited face editor, body type has now been broken down in to body parts (didn’t we have this as a standard years ago?) I think my personal pet peeve on this game is the face you can’t do a simple edit on a characters nose ♂️, if your excited about WWEs acquisition of AAA and its roster of Lucha stars and how that would translate into the new game well here’s more bad news, most of the new additions are locked behind the ring side pass, a gruelling grind of “Tiers” that will have feeling like your in a Groundhog Day of matches just to unlock content that should of been available at launch, They haven’t updated the mask system in CAW so the dream of having a Luchador Superstar tend to look like a budget S&M partygoer has stormed the ring, although the island introduced a string of new streamlined masks that could remedy this, they are also locked behind either a micro transition or there new Towers mode that essentially forces you into a pay to win scenario, if you manage to pay your way to these cosmetic your then faced with another brutal reality, non of the island cosmetics are customisable, To summarise, it’s not a terrible game if you love wrestling at its core, but for the WWE super fans and creators this game falls incredibly flat, my advice?
Hold onto 2K25 until this one goes on sale, and don’t bother with the “Editions”

My favorite wrestling game so far. I love the character creation in it like always. The Myrise was pretty fun too. I love they finally let me create a male female team something I always had in mind.

Broken AI that is overly aggressive even on easy difficulty. They reverse everything. The purple stamina is broken and doesn't affect the AI. Heavily monitised with an awful season pass people have to grind for their bought content. The worst WWE game since 2K20.

Buggy and poorly optimized and bloated. An unstable framerate on consoles with muddy visuals shows a lack of care. The game has too many modes and a disorganized roster that bloat the game. I recomend you stay away from WWE games made by 2K they are buggy lazy cash grabs WWE need to remove the license from 2K

As someone who has been trading digital haymakers since the 16-bit era of the 90s and has lived through every highs and lows of the 2K franchise, I can safely say that WWE 2K26 is as well put together as 2k usually produces based off what contracts and rights they are given when updating these games and the most feature-complete entry we’ve seen in years. While it carries some baggage typical of modern sports titles, the "soul" of the game feels more in tune with what long-term fans actually want. The Sandbox Finally Evolves: Universe Mode For years, felt like it was on life support, but 2K26 finally gives it the "General Manager" depth it’s been missing. The standout addition is the fully integrated WWE Draft. Being able to run a dynamic roster shake-up that actually impacts storylines and rivalries feels like a throwback to the classic SmackDown! games, but with modern logic. The new Universe Wizard is a godsend for veterans. Instead of spending three hours setting up shows and champions before playing a single match, you can now template your world in minutes. Plus, the addition of post-match promos and alignment-shifting segments makes the weekly grind feel like an actual television product rather than just a series of random matches. Creative Freedom: Character Creation The Creation Suite remains the gold standard of the genre, and this year, they’ve finally addressed the hardware limitations. Double the Slots: Moving to 200 CAS slots and 2,000 image slots is a game-changer for those of us who like to build entire custom promotions or download every indie and alternative promotion wrestler available. Body Morphing & Hair: The return of granular body morphing allows for much more realistic proportions, and the new two-tone hair blending is cool, my wife designs my manager every year and love taking her time creating a character. My RISE This year’s story, The Comeback, is easily the most engaging narrative they've penned in quite a few years. Playing as "The Archetype"—a former star returning to reclaim their glory—provides a much more grounded and emotional hook than previous "Poorly executed Mutiny Takeover" tropes. The branching paths feel significant; deciding whether to align with Paul Heyman or take down his "hand-picked" champions (like Bron Breakker or Jordynne Grace) actually changes the cutscenes and the unlockables you earn. The Season Pass & Content The Season Pass offers a massive influx of talent, with highlights like El Hijo del Vikingo and Lady Flammer adding some much-needed international flair. The "Ringside Pass" system keeps the game fresh with seasonal rewards, ensuring there’s always a reason to log in. "But..." (Room for Improvement) No game is perfect, and as a longtime fan, I have two main gripes: Gated Content: It is frustrating to see certain legends or alternate attires that were standard in previous years now locked behind "Persona" cards or specific seasonal grinds. For a full-priced game, the "battle pass" feel can be a bit jarring but as a massive fan of the AAA and just Mexico's independent wrestling scene that getting the Worlds Collide area alone was worth it for me just for the viewership that hopefully brings that scene. Outdated Models: While the new scans (like CM Punk) look great, some of the stalwarts are still sporting models and gear that are two or three years old. Seeing a current champion like Jade Cargill in gear from her debut or Oba Femi's old model while the rest of the game looks "next-gen" is a noticeable immersion breaker. Despite the monetization "gates," WWE 2K26 is a massive win for the simulation crowd. The improvements to the logic of Universe Mode and the sheer depth of the Creation Suite makes it worth it overall.

Where do I even start? The gameplay is good, but so many bugs. The targeting system is wacky, locker room leader live event glitches out in the middle of the match and kicks you out of the game, ranked play glitches out on me, and I've been kicked out of the game due to errors many times. I always choose accept and report and hope they get it. Lots of lag too. Then there's the stupid purple circle for stamina. Everyone hates it. The cpu/AI reverses everything and is never affected by stamina. No matter how much you beat on them, they can pop right up like nothing happened to them. The purple circle is the worst thing to ever happen to the game. They made matches in World Tour mode really hard. Handicap matches, tornado tag matches against diamond cards who start with signatures, etc. They also require many special cards from packs and collections in order to play world tour. Its ridiculous. The roster really isn't any different than last year except for AAA wrestlers being added and some new NXT wrestlers and new signings. With a Monday Night Wars edition, people had high hopes, and it's been really disappointing. The cost for the game is ridiculous and then they try to force you to buy packs to play certain modes in Myfaction. They've gotten so damn greedy. When people find a way to grind and get through the new Ringside Pass quickly, they have to do a patch to stop it and have one of their developers comment on how they were upset about people circumventing the process. They build these games with options to circumvent everything. Tier skips you can pay for, a gauntlet match you can do instead of the showcase, and vc to circumvent having to grind. So, if they build it in and can make money off it, they're all for circumventing anything and everything, but they get all upset when people find their own ways. They got rid of some of the best badges including Rabblerouser and Going in Hot and also badges that helped earn extra mfp. They also completely changed the returning badges like Always See it Coming and All the Right Answers. Just one irritating thing after another. The ridiculous casket match in live events doesn't help. I've already lost interest in MyFaction, and the jury is still out on the rest of the game. The only way to save face, is if they really blow us away with the rest of the seasons of ringside pass. I'm not holding my breath.

Absolutely disgraced by 2k! The gaming industry standards should do a full investigation into 2k and wwegames for falsely advertising a game selling special editions for different eras, falsely advertising 400+ Roster when it is filled with multiple of the same copy and pasted superstars and fake wrestlers from my rise and the island! This is a wrestling game licensed and designed to mimic real life wrestling as close as possible! There is no such wrestler as tre or red or the other fake wrestlers! I find this overwhelmingly offensive! Every mode is broken its unplayable and that stupid absurd purple bar has made it totally unplayable! People pay full price for a game and they still expect you to pay even more for personas and this stupid ring side pass! WWE 2k is not a free to play game! Fortnite is that's why they have a battle pass! Where winds meet is free too play again has a battle pass! WWE 2k they charge over £100s and they still expect you to pay even more! This is absolute greed and disgusting. In all my years I can honestly say 2k has ruined the wwe gaming franchise they are not fit to carry on! Zero customer support, zero respect! They also cut out so many NXT stars which is disrespectful to them and disrespectful to fans! This is 2k20 v2 in 2026! WWE 2k26 is an overhyped greed festival abomination to the WWE franchise!

Gameplay is the best in any WWE 2K game. But the new grindy ringside pass makes me instantly forget about all the new wrestlers, modes and gameplay additions, It truly **** the life of what could’ve been a great game.

Compared to 2K25, this was a big downgrade. I'm glad they added new additions like more match types, ragdoll physics, and new commentary, however, the gameplay is worse in my opinion than its predecessor. Plus, I don't understand why you have to get a ringside pass in order to get more belt designs, WWE has become like EA, a big scam.

Wwe 2k26 feels like THE BEST WRESTLING GAME IN THE WORLD TODAY, if you prefer a broken , Denuvo-heavy and ultra greedy game. Gameplay-wise this builds on arguably the greatest foundation for a wrestling game ever, Mode-wise it's a mess for my favourite mode and constantly pushes me to modes I do not care for all. To make it even worse the Ringside pass feels like the greediest addition to the game and ruins the progression seen in previous games. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST ADVERTISMENT FOR A 2K GAME I HAVE SEEN but not for WWE2K26 but for WWE2k25, WWE2K24, WWE2K23 and WWE2K22. Those are all better than this and I'd say the only games in this series that are worse is WWE2K20 and maybe WWE2K15

Seems like they used the Attitude Era and Monday Night Wars names to cover up the unfavorable additions. It has less MNW content than 2K25 had. Online modes rarely work. Content is hidden behind paywalls. This feels like a rush job that wasn't finished when it was released. They were quick to patch loopholes that prevented people from paying for tier skips but haven't patched for people to actually enjoy the game they paid for. Big step back from 2K25 and the worse part is they don't even care.

For whatever joy thr gameplay brings with new improvement, the game takes several steps backward with the battle pass. Its an unnecessary, predatory, money grab as if the game doesent already cost enough. To have to be forced to either fork over more money or grind for hours and hours to access things in a version of the game i alreay paid extra money for in absolutely insane. If things dont change this will be my last wwe game. Been playing faithfully since wwe smackdown 1. My money these days is more important that wasting it on this crap, also plagued with glitches and save losses. Im good on this series until there are changes.

Predatory SCAM, most characters, arenas and objects hidden behind premium pass even in a 115$ (the most expensive) version of the game. If you buy anything from 2K you're part of the problem.

This could be a fun game, but there are too many flaws and paywalls which make it a miserable experience. The reversal system is unrealistic and broken. I’m not talking about the purple circle, I’m talking about non-stop reversals from the AI on all difficulties. Signatures, finishers and regular grapples will be reversed pretty much every two out of three attempts. It’s sloppy, frustrating and breaks match flow with ease. The camera in MyFaction. If you’ve played a tag team match, you know. With no way to change it you are more likely to spend the vast amount of time staring at an opponents rear end than what’s going on in the ring. And what is with the massive texture downgrades when doing 4v4? The predatory microtransactions which have become a 2K staple remain. Paywalling wrestlers behind a battle pass or more expensive versions of the game take away from just playing and being rewarded. And because of this, unless you pony up, don’t expect to play some of those live events in MyFaction. The days of wrestling being fun, No Mercy, Smackdown vs Raw, WWE 13 etc is gone. Save your money, this is nothing but a frustrating button masher.

This is probably the worst wrestling game in a long time. The game is rife with microtransactions — everything feels monetized and transactional, with not a single redeeming game mode to justify it. MyRise features arguably the weakest storyline the series has produced. The gameplay itself is solid, but that's about all there is to hold onto, and even that becomes meaningless when the story, music, and persistent bugs strip away any reason to keep playing. The character creation is also among the worst I've seen in a wrestling game. Gone are the days when you could model a character after yourself — now you either paste your face onto a preset or customize a generic-looking shell. Virtually all creative freedom has been gutted in what amounts to a hyper-monetized, watered-down experience. MyRise ranks near the bottom of the series, with the only worse entry being the disaster that launched during COVID, which was so riddled with bugs it was nearly unplayable. The match types are uneventful, grindy affairs with no variety or interesting twists — staples like Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank are missing entirely from the story mode. Take it from a longtime wrestling game fan: save your money and skip this one.

Horrible example of modern gaming and greed. The gameplay, although still glitchy is the best in the 2k series thanks to the “ragdoll” physics. Everything else is trash. Myrise and the Island are boring. Myfaction gets worst and more dependent on microtransactions each year. The absolute worst is the Ringside Pass. Charging $150 and forcing you to grind to access the DLC that you pay for is ridiculous. Battlepasses are meant for free games not $150 deluxe editions. The Monday Night War Edition has little content reflecting the period used to advertise it. When players found a way to get through the 40 tiers to unlock content for season 1 quicker due to how long it would take based on the minimal currency provided, a developer comes out and criticizes it, they patch it, yet do nothing about the gameplay issues in multiple modes and community creations. Then they offer Tier skips for people that don’t have time to or want to grind for their DLC at 1.99 per tier. Multiply that by 40 and they will squize another $80 each for 6 seasons on top of what you pay for the edition. Its more about greed and leas about fun. The negative far outweigh the positives.

Gameplay:
Weapons physics are a great addition, but the game feels the same as 2k25 (and 22,23,24) after a few hours of play
CC:
Create an arena is broken
No crossplay for PC
Create a championship is broken too
MyFaction:
Unplayable with the new stamina system and al the stupid rules 2k makes for every Match, everything is very expensive.
The Island: It's okey, but they make half of the CAS part unlockables of this mode, which is greedy as F***.
MyGM:
Didn't touch it, should be one with Universe.
Universe:
It's the Game mode with the greatest potential, so they barely update it so people go play MF and The Island (because they don't care about players, they Only care about money.
MyRise:
It's way worse than 2k25. Most of the mode is playing random matches until You played enough to get to a other chapter of the VERY SHORT story.
Ringside Pass:
Why we have to grind for things we paid a Lot of money to play? 2k really hates their customers, there are a Lot of Bugs in this Game and they focused on patching the method that Made it easy to get the things we paid for instead of fixing the f*k*n broken Game. Ps: Fire Brian Mazique, a 2k dev that wants to tell us how we are supposed to play the game and how we are supposed to have fun with it. I can't recommend the Game in the state it is as of right now.

I understand the branding clothing, but hairstyles shouldn't be locked behind the island at all. You could make the ringside pass work by giving us 759,000 VC just for hairstyles. Since you patched the Easy E method. You could call it a discount in the Barbershop. Then I'll buy other things on the island for sure. Only thing good about this game is the 200 CAW Slots.

Yes, the game has the flashy new "ragdoll physics" now, yes the Island has a few new features. But all of that is shadowed by the sheer audacity of now implementing predatory Monetization methods like the Battle/Season passes, when MyFaction and the Island already existed, just turns me away from a franchise i loved for most of my life. Don't even get me started on how it seemingly is a big no-no for the game devs when players use a little trick to speed up progressing through the Passes and say it's "circumventing the system", but it's A-OK to pay an extra 70-80$ bucks to buy Tier-skips to speed up the progress all the same. Ridiculous. And the very fact, that 2K does not bother fixing bugs and issues that have been persisting through many WWE 2K games for YEARS, but just need one/two days to patch a bug, that allowed people to grind through their predatory Battle passes a little faster, just goes to show you, where 2K Games priorities truly are.

Paying £140 for the Monday Night War Edition and getting hit in the face with a Fortnite styled battle pass that you can way more just to skip? **** right off 2K.

A battle pass system when spending $150 on this game is not worth it with half the roster being locked when they were free pretty much in the previous games. This is 2k being too greedy , and with the island and my **** of these micro transactions has made this game terrible plus if I spend a hundred and fifty dollars on this game , I should not have to pay for the battle pass

WWE 2K26 has some genuinely fun aspects. The gameplay feels solid, and the addition of ragdoll mechanics brings a welcome layer of realism and unpredictability to matches. Sure, there are a few bugs here and there, but nothing game-breaking — they’re tolerable in the grand scheme of **** real problem, however, is not the gameplay. What kills this game is the Ringside Pass system and the avalanche of microtransactions. 2K’s greed is on full display here. The Ringside Pass is predatory by design: it forces players into endless grinding or, worse, paying extra just to progress through tiers. Most of us don’t have the time to farm endlessly, and being asked to pay on top of the full game price just to unlock meaningful progression is **** short, WWE 2K26 could have been a great wrestling game, but 2K’s obsession with monetization has strangled it. Their greed turned what should be a fun experience into a frustrating, exploitative mess. The Ringside Pass didn’t just hurt the game — it outright killed it.

Very poor and preparatory. I’ve been a fan of the franchise prior to 2k receiving the rights, and more and more they’ve taken advantage of the fans. And this is at its worse. For starters - please ignore the “overwhelmingly positive” critic reviews. They likely: 1. Received their copy for free so don’t have financial input in it.
3. Didn’t play it long enough to experience its multiple modes and bugs. The games ringside pass and overall product cost not only takes advantage of players,
It repositions parts of the product that we’ve had for years as re-priced assets. In addition, the purple stamina bar penalises gameplay, especially competitive modes to makes most modes feel like the games actively playing against you before you step in the ring. On top of that, the game is missing a tonne of bugs and polish, including use of AI that reinforced those problems. Coupled with poor social media interactions from their team, including their social media manager of the 2k account to add a further distaste to the poor experience, it’s a highlight on how lack of ability to refund digital products should be rewritten. I will never buy another WWE game as long as 2K at the helm.

I wanted to enjoy WWE 2K26, but the monetization around unlocking characters really killed the experience for me. Locking wrestlers behind either an extreme grind or a $150 paywall feels ridiculous. One of the fun parts of wrestling games used to be unlocking characters by actually playing the game naturally. Now it feels like you either spend a ton of money or spend hours grinding modes you might not even **** someone who just wants to hop in and play matches with friends, it’s frustrating. By the time you unlock everything through gameplay, you’re already burned out. It turns what should be a simple “pick a wrestler and have fun” experience into a **** honestly reminds me of going on a whole Mario-style adventure just to do something basic. Or like a John Wick movie where a massive chain of events happens over something small — except here it’s just trying to play with the full roster. At that point the fun is **** gameplay itself can be good, but decisions like this make the game feel less like a wrestling sandbox and more like a monetization trap. If future games respected players’ time instead of pushing them toward expensive unlocks, the series would be a lot more enjoyable. There needs to be transparency as to what will come with the tiers before someone buys this piece of crap. Buyer beware. 2k is a bunch of grifters
