All I wanted to do was sit down and relive some classic Attitude Era matches—Undertaker vs. Kane, Mankind vs. The Rock—with my significant other. Simple, right? Not in WWE 2K23. What should’ve been a fun and nostalgic evening turned into a tedious grind through locked content and menus. The Showcase mode forces you to grind through tedious (with a cringey documentary style story) moves which are NOT beginner friendly. This game is just short of awful, not fun to play.

It is good for pass time with friends during work breaks. Some bad things: the parking arena mode is very bland. Hell in the cell **** with the cage in between

Just like 22 its gameplay so addicting that no need to replay about game modes so much since they are still missing something to be more interesting. Like Showcase turn it to a rewritten game mode where we chose who to play as in those matches and make our outcomes happen.

Indeed, there is a lot of contents in this year edition but nothing really that much different to past games

It certainly is a huge step up from WWE 2K20 and a decent improvement on what WWE 2K22 did right. It is still far from perfect, however. Universe mode definitely is fun, but the lack of more interactive storyboards, show intros and a few others things prevents it from completely delivering that "I am running a real wrestling promotion" kind of feel.

WWE 2K23 is a very good and exciting game that has made many improvements, including the variety of wrestlers, graphics, gameplay, and physics.

One of the greatest WWE 2K wrestling games ever. Great graphics & combat system. I I absolutely love everything about it.

See, WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment)'s Game Makers, Developers and World Wide Players who are and were playing WWE games for years then, now and if possible forever, in my non biased opinion and Review about this years's WWE 2K23 PC, PS4, PS5 game, with it's Graphics, Move-Sets, Gameplay, Entrances, Superstars and Custom maded Superstars, quality of the game was fine but, If WWE Game makers wants to make the best Quality last game in the list of WWE Games, i mean we the fans were playing many games in our past and will love to play in future also can be maded or achieved in best quality maybe in next 20 years ''if i say about less time'', or maybe in next 30 years, ''if i say about more time'', so the game developers can do it to start making the previous games in remake format, and earn more money, the reality, maybe the WWE company will never accept.

It's a fun entry, not much different than 2K22, but still worth grabbing on sale if you're a die-hard pro wrestling fan.

WWE 2k23 encapsulates what a wrestling fan asks for within a video game with a pristine showcase mode and improvements in myGM mode as well as the added features within free play mode and customisation. This game is a drastic improvement over WWE 2k22 through the graphics alone, the developers stated that they put extra focus on skin toning and texture allowing each wrestler to look more like their real-life counterparts, with a stellar soundtrack to go along with the smooth and entertaining gameplay, this game makes for an extremely replayable experience. Each wrestler has their own specialised move-set which allows for each match to be different every time you play. 2k23 has a particular focus on John Cena, being the focus of showcase mode, you get to travel throughout his over 20-year career in the WWE and get to experience some of his most famous matches, combined with commentary from John Cena himself. This mode provides rewards as you progress which simply adds to the stellar roster and customisation of this game, and the length of this is also perfect as you don’t find yourself getting bored/tired of the mode. A rather simple yet extremely effective improvement over the prior year's game was the additions made in myGM mode, one of the most predominant complaints of 2k22 was in the lack of selection in match options in myGM mode, this is completely gone in 2k23 as (as well as a larger roster to work with) almost every possible match option is available in 2k23 and with the option to simulate, spectate, or play, the player is free to play this mode however they please. The controls are almost the same as the previous entries in the series, however the movements seem much more realistic and smoother, as well as the movements enter faster which allow you to complete more combos and have the best experience possible. The only lacking areas would be Universe mode and myFACTION which are almost the exact same as the previous game and these were modes complained about 2k22, Universe mode is extremely tedious to do what you want and is long on confusing and you're better off creating the matches and storylines you want in free play. myFACTION is a confusing online mode which is difficult due to the drawn-out process of obtaining and utilising the cards, and making a team, on top of this the matches are crazily long and after playing one you wouldn’t want to play another. Community Creations has always been one of the greatest aspects in the 2k games, allowing you to create or download any attires, belts, shows etc. It also unites the community as people create attires or characters from other franchises, expanding the playability further. Overall WWE 2k23 is an extremely good example of what a wrestling game should be, and is an example for all wrestling games in the future.

1. Glitches galore 2. MF has way too many near impossible weekly towers/other challenges. 3. The entire counter system is awful. Do they expect a CPU to be playing it? 4. Never buying it again.

WWE 2K23 mostly succeeds in building up on it´s precedessors strengths, without offering too much that wasn´t available in all those years before. Remaining as an overall enjoyable mix of arcade and simulation elements with WarGames as a good, but not always flawlessly excecuted new addition, the mediocre presentation, ever-present glitches and Pay-2-Win | Pay-2-Shortcut in MyFaction are still a big letdown.

I’ve been playing wrestling games since the original Nintendo days and this is by far the best one I’ve ever played. This game blows AEW away!!! Finally feels like I have complete control of the WWE. Can’t stop playing this one, I’ve been having a blast with it. May not be for everyone but it’s worth every penny in my opinion.

It's disappointing that I left a good review when the game came out finally and now it's already gone. In just one month, 2K had the entire game broken with small patch updates and poor DLC. They obviously can do more, but doesn't care to. 2K is the most laziest company ever. I can see why every year they fail at everything. The price is down for a reason. I will remember to never buy a 2K game again until they actually fix everything. Only thing they care about is making money from MyFaction and not making players happy. The community creators do everything 2K says they can't do. Maybe you should be fired and replaced. That is my #1 wish right now for your company. DO YOUR JOB!!!

Online server are awful! We spent 80€ and game crash after 5-6 minutes if you try to play online

Another excellent wrestling game that basically improves on everything the last one had. Can’t get over all of the negative reviews from people who seem intent on trashing a great game. Ignore them. If you’re a fan of wrestling games, this one is a must have.

WWE 2K23 was a good game it had it's flaws but I'd say it took what WWE 2K22 did well and improved on it I did like the inclusion of WarGames and dual title entrances but what **** was Cody Rhodes theme isn't selectible for Create an Entrance

Looks like the best wwe 2k series. As it's a wwe 2k series, there are countless bugs and personally there's only a little difference compared to the 2k22 and the meagre roster was very disappointing, but I still had fun playing. Sounds good for wwe game series initiation!

The game constantly crashes. My faction has been completely ruined with the drip feed content. Online mode is just unplayable. There is some good points to the game the community creations this year are unbelievable but the community creation mode doesn't always work which is really annoying. I would give this game a miss stick with wwe2k22 and wait for wwe2k24 with the hope they have sorted out the bugs.

It's a good game but I won't buy it next year. I'll wait 4 years or so. People just hate on 2k but in reality, it's our fault for buying from them yearly. This is the second WWE game I buy and my first game was No Mercy for N64. YOU want to make a change stop buying from them otherwise keep complaining.

I expected more from this version than the previous version and it is definitely better, but it could be better, especially in the show case section, of course, the My Career section has more features than the previous version, and the addition of wargames can be one of its positive points.

This game is 10000x times better than WWE 2K22. WWE 2K23 is Much Stronger this time and I will tell you why. This game's ai is smarter, universe mode still is kinda boring but works good, The Men's MyRise is awesome, havent tried Women's MyRise yet but i know its gonna be great and finally GM Mode is a massive imprpvemntb. It finally has midcard and main evebt titles now on each brand. Now has 3 brands to compete with and much more. I'll give this game 25/10 if possible. Thank you for reading.

So this years game is a step in the right direction. The myrise story is actually pretty good . Graphics are pretty nice . The gameplay could be better but that’s expected when your using an outdated game engine. Myfaction is playable to an extent. But the reason for the 4/10 is the horrific online servers . These servers are worse then last years game . So with how bad these servers are with the lobby’s crashing and myfaction just not working online . The single player modes can’t save this game from this review. When after how many patches ur servers continue to be horrible and online being unplayable. Then the price should not be 70$ it should be like 40$ at best . Because once again 2k releases another unfinished game . An I’d go as far as saying this is worse then 2k20’s release. Oh an I forgot to mention all the glitches and hackers that plague this game .

Game had potential to be great but like always with 2K is buggy and sloppy. Only somewhat enjoyable mode were showcase and Myrise. Story was good but gameplay is very messy. MyFaction is a complete joke again with not even having any decent cards unlocked for months. AI is legit some of the worst AI in a WWE game. Save your money and grab this on sale for $20 just for the story modes.

It's better than last year but I hate myrise so much. I don't want to play as a women wrestler to unlock stuff I cannot buy on the store.

It gets a 1 star rating from me because of Cena Being nearly impossible to beat in Showcase mode with undertaker So Far. Also Roman ain't no 99! He's an 89 at best solo!

Very good -- surprisingly good, tbh. One of the better pro wrestling games of the last decade. WarGames is a disappointment, but everything else is a blast for the most part.

Gm mode is still lacking alot of features which makes it kind of boring showcase mode this year is ok the the unlockable superstars from showcase mode makes no sense who want to play with for example aj styles 2016 or john 2002 or edge 2006 version why not add other superstars that are not in the game and then there are to many bugs which makes the game so frustrating

The best of the WWE 2K series. Great graphics and gameplay, difficult and customizable AI with expanded and improved features to every mode that was available in 2k22…Plus WARGAMES! Finally universe mode has been improved greatly as well. Took everything from an already good WWE 2K22 and added just a bit more but improved SO MUCH at the same time. It’s not quite a 9 out of 10 but definitely an 8/8.5 out of 10. Next game just needs more match types! special referee, ambulance, inferno, buried alive etc and more variety of cutscenes like backstage interactions. All in all a great game.

Great new features love how they added quick recovery by pressing R1 and the times pin counrlt mini game is a great addition. John Cena showcase is great much longer than 2k22

Enjoying this game very day that I play it. Definitely the best WWE game in a very long time. I wish that we could turn off weight detection because I don't mind the challenge against a super heavyweight over a long period of time during the match, but it's a really enjoyable game. A definite improvement over WWE 2K22

The show case mode makes it worth it this year. Multiplayer is always a fun time to play with friends and the roster feels like we're not missing much.

First wrestling game I purchased since smackdown. This game is hot **** ass. I created a metacritic account just so I could rate this half assed piece of **** Refs take a hr to start counting a **** pin. Press L1 to pick up objects. Except you have to press L1 1 hundred **** times just for your character to finally decide pick the weapon up. Then when u swing the weapon jack **** happens 50pct of the time. While u busy not connecting with the hut for no **** reason. The cpu recovers and slaps the **** out of u. Causing u to get ur ass beat till they decide that u can get the **** up. All cause the game mechanics is ass and ur hit is not hitting the cpu for no **** reason.

WWE 2K23 is definitely a return to form from 2K19 and DEFINITELY an amazing improvement from 2K22.

Game is so good but i think can be better in future just fix the bug and servers
