Man, I'm so conflicted here. I had a lot of fun with it for a month or two. It was arefreshingexperience for someone who is worn out on the usual EA slop. It took a lot of influences from the old FIFA Street games and it was just a really fun time. Time went on, people became very familiar with the game's systems... and the holes within those systems. And now every match is nothing but annoying exploits. The ball glitching, disappearing, and showing up 10ft away. The impossible-to-guard against deke exploits. It's a nightmare and just not fun. There's nothing worse than taking losses in a game where you can, quite literally, do nothing to stop it from happening. I am average at this game. If I try to use the exploits, I am unstoppable. I have footage of me scoring 8 goals in less than two minutes using these same exploits. That was my first and only game doing so, solely to see how easy they were to do. Because theamount of people online using these exploits is INSANE. I now see why. It's incredibly easy to u, but also incredibly not fun. No thanks. The main problem I have is the developers. Small team and they seem kind of clueless to the problems in their game. My evidence of this? After two months of exploitative nonsense, they finally released a "big" game-fixing patch yesterday and it made the exploits even WORSE. And the issue is it seems like most of the game's really big issues re: exploits are just... not fixable without changing the way the game inherently functions due to it's wonky version of physics. I think I've maxed out my time with this game, but it was fun for a while. Just be prepared for **** including but not limited to disappearing balls and balls going right through your hands and body as a GK.

I'm not a huge Elder Scrolls fan. I played Oblivion when it came out originally, didn't complete it, it just wasn't for me. I played Skyrim when it released, I liked it quite a lot, but I much prefer the Fallout games to Elder Scrolls when it comes to Bethesda. I played this game with middling expectations and the game basically met them. I was able to finish it unlike when I tried the original over a decade ago, but still. The download size is kind of absurd, and I'm not sure why. It performs like ****, looks alright, but it runs terrible on console.

Honestly kind of blown away by all the great reviews. Huge fan of Supermassive's games usually. Have enjoyed the TDPA for the most part, and I feel like this is their worst game by a very wide margin. It feels awful. Like, the "gameplay" part of these games has never been their strong points. But this game feels particularly bad and janky. The story, albeit shallow, could have been interesting, and I gave it every chance to get interesting, but it's really not. It starts shallow, stays shallow, and ends shallow. Your choices matter less than they ever did in TDPA games and they feel less weighty. Genuinely just feels like a flip of a coin this time. There's no logic re: "if I choose this, this could happen." Which I think is kind of crucial in a choose-your-own-adventure type game. I'm sorry, but this is horrible. Not sure what the BTS on this game was like, but this feels like it was made by the studios' C Team or something. The characters are also just... bad. No real standout performances, brutally bad dialog, there's just nothing good here. Happy some people seem to enjoy this game, I guess. Absolutely puzzled by it, but it is what it is.

So absolutely mid. Considering this is Ubisoft and they are absolute garbage, shocked at the restraint of scummy microtransactions. They try, don't get me wrong. But no MTX I've seen in this game so far is good. Battlepass or otherwise. Everything is so ugly and bland. I've never been so... not interested in giving a F2P game my money. So kudos for that.

I like this game quite a lot, still in 2024. The singleplayer is nothing special but I enjoy the Ghost War online portion of it. It feels different than a lot of other PVP games out there right now, and I think it's much better than even the more recent Ghost Recon game. I wish it leaned more into being tactical and a bit less arcadey, but it's fun. I still play it regularly and have a good time.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game

User Scoreehtaco
Jul 14, 2024
Huge fan of the film and have eagerly awaited this game since it was announced. The game itself is... fun. But there isn't enough there. The Klowns and most of their weapons/abilities seem severely underpowered and spend half the game running from the humans, not vice versa. The class system does virtually nothing. All characters feel the same. Small guy is slightly faster, the fat one is slower, but other than that, the Klowns play the same. No uniqueness. Same could be said for the humans. Very slight stat differences don't do much. The classes should offer something unique. They don't and it's not looking like that'll be changing. Even some subtle passive abilities would do wonders for this game and its characters. The devs don't seem eager to fix a lot of the game's true issues and lack of features. So I'm afraid this game is DOA. It's fun when you can get a full lobby, but it's very underbaked.

This game is awesome. What a throwback. Linear, hyper-violent, gory, and the type of B-movie story we could expect consistently during the X360/PS3 era of games. This game harkens back to that era of games and before. It's so much fun to play and was a genuine surprise. Games like this are hard to come by nowadays, but I'm happy to have found this one. The only negatives are mostly performance problems. Stuttering, weird periods where all audio doesn't play except for dialogue, etc. The game can also get a bit repetitive with its mini arena fights. Kill X amount of enemies, move on, etc. But thankfully the game itself is consistently fun to play, so I didn't mind.

Genuinely a pretty poor game. Gotham just feels empty. The combat feels uninspired, and the story feels kind of lazy. It's not terrible. I enjoyed my time with it - to a degree. It can be fun, the differences between using the 4 Knights is pretty neat for a few hours, and some of the combat encounters can play really nicely. The customization is pretty alright once you get past the RPG lite numbering system with the gear that renders almost everything you come across useless. The game just feels subpar and runs very poorly. This game does not look nice enough to not run at 60fps - let alone a SMOOTH 30fps. It's just poorly optimized. Graphically it looks a generation below Arkham Knight and that's not a joke. That game is almost ten years old and it looks/plays so much better than this game.

My experience with this game has been mostly positive. I would say my initial feelings towards this game are more positive than they were with Friday The 13th which I Was very fond of and Dead by Daylight. This is just more enjoyable in my opinion. The game very much favors the victims, though. As someone who likes to play killer, I run into a lot of the same annoyances in every game when a halfway decent part of Victims is on the opposing team. Leatherface feels underpowered and every other killer at times seemingly needs like 7+ hits to actually kill someone. It's a bit much. I also worry about future content. I'm really hoping they have a long roadmap of future killers, victims, maps, etc. Because this runs the risk of becoming very stale very fast if semi-regular updates don't come.

This game is incredible. I went in skeptical, and I feel like a fool. It has the odd bug and graphically it looks a generation or two behind sometimes. But as a game? This is spectacular. The 30fps is a nonissue. It's almost always consistent and a smooth 30fps goes a long way. A lot of people, by default, look at 30fps as a severe negative. But I'm a believer that **** can hit a near-constant 30fps, it's really not that bad at all. Starfield and RDR2 are two of the finest examples of 30fps actually being 30fps and thus being entirely playable. I would rather a game be locked at 30fps than it advertise itself as a 60fps game only for it to constantly fluctuate between 30-60fps, especially in moments of action. This game is a testament to what gaming could be. And, IMO, it may be Bethesda's best game ever. The scale, the story, the world-building, the characters., the depth. It's an experience. This made me feel things that an RPG hasn't made me feel in years outside of my first time playing Oblivion, New Vegas, and maybe The Witcher 3. It's special. This launching on Game Pass is insane and appreciated. I will undoubtedly be purchasing it, in full, soon for another playthrough in the future. I genuinely have no complaints that aren't just nitpicks. When I was 7 hours into this game, I hadn't even started the first actual full-on main story mission the game presents you with. I fully expect my hours in this game to come close to, if not exceed, triple digits. And I welcome it. I ran into plenty of very annoying bugs but they didn't ruin the experience too much. My only complaint with the actual game is that Bethesda has deliberately included a lot of mechanics that hinder gameplay to a degree. Inventory management, fast travel, stamina, the entire map system, etc. There are a lot of smaller nitpicks that do add up and cause some annoyances. Despite these, I'm enjoying my time with the game immensely.

Alan wake has always been a good game. Solid narrative, interesting gameplay mechanics, stellar atmosphere, but that's kind of where the positives end. As a game, Alan Wake is closer to an 8. As a remaster of an old game, this is nowhere near that. TEchnically flawed, it plays and looks worse in some areas than it did on the X360/PS3. There isn't much of a remaster here that helps the game at all. Cutscenes are constantly stuttering as well. Technically, it is a mess. Just a piss-poor remaster of an otherwise solid game.

Phenomenal game. Seriously a genre-defining experience and IMO the best in it's class. It's a showcase for the PS5 in almost every single way, and it's an absolutely fantastic time. Extremely well-made to the point that I have zero faults with it. No bugs, no glitches, nothing. Insomniac may be the best developer going right now. They don't ever miss and everything they release is consistently high-quality. I went in expecting terrific graphics, I got that. There were times where the graphics legitimately stunned me. The fact that the game constantly looks as stellar as does with absolutely no hitches in terms of framerate? It's kind of nuts. The gameplay is fun, constantly involving, and almost always captivating. I expected all of this from Ratchet & Clank and Insomniac. I was worried about the replayability. A shorter game, but it has all the replayability you can ask for. It's deceptively dense and the worlds are filled with places to explore. The NG+ introduces new weapons - two of the best in the game - and adds Omega variants to all 18 weapons you can collect in your first playthrough. These change gameplay enough that your weapons feel different, and it also opens up much more upgrade possibility with said weapons. I love this game and would trust Insomniac with my life at this point. Mfs don't miss.

Nothing about this game will stick with me outside of the visuals. The combat is clunky, the world and the exploration within it are kind of bland and quite repetitive, the boss fights are uninspired as hell and absolutely frusturating. Not even because of difficulty, but because the game does not play very well. The story is fine albeit for sure nothing worth remembering. I understand it's a new studio and in a lot of ways it's definitely an impressive outing in that regard. But I'm not rating based on that fact or based on the idea that future sequels may have potential. I'm rating this game and it just, simply put, is not very good. This game is very good after all the updates. I pre-ordered, waited the better part of two years, could barely run the game on my PS4, sold it immediately, and was hugely disappointed. Fast forward all this time, and I gave it another shot on next-gen. The game works. It is fun, and honestly a pretty top-tier FPS RPG game. With that being said; incredibly flawed. Visuals are on par with a PS4 game, it doesn't run great and struggles to consistently hit 40-50fps on the 60fps mode, and it is buggy as **** I've never encountered so many game-breaking bugs in one game before. This is AFTER years worth of updates too. It is unbelievable. If you know what you're getting into; it is quality. I'm not a graphics stickler by any means. I can deal with the dated visuals and stiff animations, but the way the game runs holds it back massively. I would recommend giving it a second look if you didn't play it before. Where the game struggles performance-wise, it excels with a good story and an impressively-built world. Despite my score, I have more positive things to say about this game than negatives, but I just need to be a realist and tell it how it is. Anybody giving this a 10 is either outright lying or has an extremely loose definition of what makes a perfect game. The game itself will go down as a classic for me, but it is poorly optimized and full of glitches. You can't ignore that despite how good the actual game is. Especially considering the fact a lot of the problems with the game effect gameplay and progression directly.

I think the game is at its best when not actually playing soccer. The different areas look different and stand out from each other, but the actual sidequests you do get very bland and repetitive. A ton of guesswork with not a lot or care put into the actual structure of the way things work. More variety here would've helped the game massively. Overall, fun little game. Was pretty surprised with how much I enjoyed it, but I have to acknowledge how much better it could have been. It is very buggy. The story is nothing special, the writing is abysmal, and the voice acting is fine. It comes across as weak, but the performances were perfectly OK. The writing does it no favors, unfortunately. Graphically not much stands out. This is a mid-life-cycle PS4/X1 game graphically for the most part, though some of the environments really do look great. They admittedly do some cool things with the lighting and whatnot. The environments - shocker - are only memorable when they seem ripped right out of the world of Bioshock Infinite. I swear, there are parts of this game that would be indistinguishable from that game if looked at in a still image. The game usually nails the atmosphere. It is incredibly unsettling at times, but not quite a horror game. They do a phenomenal job of adding something ominous to environments that would otherwise be beautiful. It doesn't always hit, but when it does, it's pretty great. The gameplay is janky as hell and reminds me of the bad aspects **** like Dying Light. It's playable, but it's not great. The gameplay really leaves a lot to be desired. It's fun a good amount of the time, it's just super underwhelming. It doesn't perform very well either. Lots of dropped frames and buggy objectives depending on the area you're in. I had ZERO desire to explore the open world. I don't even know if there is side content. I focused completely on the main story. Nothing about this world is compelling. It's mostly similar, ugly-looking areas littered with tons of enemies, and the combat is not good enough that I want to clear out enemies to explore any of the open world. It's a complete clusterheck, and I didn't enjoy it. At all. I found out 6h into the game you could drive, lol. I don't recall it ever being mentioned. But yeah. You can drive. Thanks for telling me. This game wears the influence of so many other games on its sleeve. Little bit of Far Cry, a little bit of Fallout, a good dose of Wolfenstein, a whole lot of Bioshock, etc. Unfortunately, 90% of it is evident in the bad parts. The melee reminded me of the worst aspects of games like Dying Light. The world reminded me of a toned down and bland versions of things seen in Bioshock Infinite, the "powers" were a less fleshed out and borderline useless version of things seen in the OG Bioshock, the gunplay reminded me of Fallout games 10+ years ago, the driving reminded me of the worst driving ever seen in the Far Cry games, the world building and dialog was like a middle-school version of the newer Wolfenstein games. I'd recommend a playthrough if it looks intriguing to you, but temper those expectations. This is one of the most mid games I have ever played, and I will not remember anything positive about it in a few weeks.

Mostly a pretty great game. I wish there was a bit more mystery and detective work, but what is there really is pretty fantastic. For sure, one of the most "alive" open worlds in these "Yakuza" games, the PS5 surely helps with that even though I am positive they aren't scratching the surface of what can truly be done on this more modern hardware. Still, it looks really good. Yagami is, for the most part, a layered and enjoyable protagonist. Not close to topping Kiryu, but who can, really? It doesn't come without its issues. Tons of irritating enemy pop in with the random gang encounters. It becomes a bit much late in the game. There are a lot of bugs I encountered. POIs not loading in when they should, being stuck on the screen you get briefly after winning a fight, missions not loading, etc. My biggest issues with the game? Pretty big ones. First and foremost; it is too long. Straight-up, too long. Around Chapter 6 or so this game feels like it's coming to an end, but no, you're only halfway done with the game at that point. I don't necessarily have a problem spending 50+ hours on a game. But this game lacks the depth to make that interesting and the story slows down to a slog at that point. It doesn't feel like it warrants the playtime. This brings me to my second big complaint. Yakuza games have long had combat that does get a bit old and boring over time, but it's usually far more layered. It's not here. This is the most shallow combat I've ever played in these games. On one hand, maybe it makes sense. You're a detective, not a super-hardened martial arts dude. But still. It hurts the overall gameplay. Two combat styles that visually look a bit different, but feel identical to play. One is more kick-heavy and focused on taking on groups, the other is more punch-focused for taking on a single, stronger enemy. But you can use the styles interchangeably without many hindrances at all. One style may be better in every scenario even. It just misses the mark and lacks depth or any thinking-on-the-fly re: fights. Just button mashing -- and not even typical Yakuza button mashing. Way worse. Last half of this game I avoided every single street encounter because the fights became very boring. Worth a playthrough, just know what you're getting into.

I enjoyed my time with it, but it started to drag a lot in the final hour or two. At least IMO, and that's a very bad sign considering this is a pretty short game. I love the new art style, I enjoyed a lot of the interactions with characters & dialogue, but the puzzles were straight-up irritating at times. Not due to difficulty either, just tedium. Also; I went into this game feeling very nostalgic and planning a 100% run. But throughout the entire game, I had at least 5 different achievements simply... not pop-up when they absolutely should have. I'm past the point where I'll fight with a game's **** when I know I'm doing everything correctly. So I gave up that 100% run entirely relatively quickly. Still, a fun playthrough for the most part.
