Perhaps the biggest issue with the game from a hardcore perspective is a lack of precision. With many weapons, you only have a small amount of control over where you can fire -- at your opponent, just to the left of them, or just to the right.

The biggest problem with all of this combat is that while it may sound cool and complicated, it’s boring, unchallenging, and requires absolutely no tactical consideration.

Most importantly, it's got that utterly absorbing hypnotic je ne sais quois that all the best games have, and it's that which will keep you coming back for more and more, checking out all the characters and all the play modes, and devoting an unhealthy amount of time in the quest for dominating other players, both online and off.

It's a unique experiment with a lot of depth for those willing to donate the time. [Vol 3, Issue 2, p.64]

While it suffers from some crippling camera problems at times, has text that is difficult to read without an HDTV, and has quite possibly the most nonsensical plot I’ve ever encountered in a game, Wartech Sekno no Ronde is an incredibly fun game despite its problems.
70
The graphics and sound don't do much presentation-wise, but the game play rewards gamers nonetheless. Sadly, the lack of four-player shoot-outs positions WarTech primarily as a rental -- until it reaches the more reasonable $20-$40 range.
60
The game is unable to compare to similar mech-bot games, and is further grounded from its aerial pursuit by the enormous price being asked for such a so-so game.
51
WarTech: Senko no Ronde feels incoherent and out of place. The arcade shooter concept that it is built upon is sound but the follow-through just isn't there.
42
If you're looking for something different to pass the time, I could suggest you try and rent this one. There's no way in hell I'd pay full price for it though.

WarTech: Senko no Ronde is a trite piece of airy piffle with nothing meaty to recommend it.
