I never feel I actually earn my victories in Titanfall Assault, and that’s the reason I’m probably going to stop playing in a few short weeks. Strategies simply devolve into who can drop the most Titans and grunts on the other in the quickest succession, crushing them like a mighty Monty Python foot. I don’t think that is the intention of the developers, but it certainly is, from my experience, how most matches are won and lost.
Titanfall: Assault is a solid RTS with plenty of units to unlock and upgrade.
A thick and entertaining mobile MOBA that's probably the best of the bunch.

Decent Clash Royale clone. A decently fun game but I doubt it will ever be as successful as Clash Royale. The set up is similar in that you have cards which are units with varying costs and strengths and you send them out onto a field to battle each other. Rather than two lanes there is a zigzag path and you can win either by taking out both enemy turrets or collecting points from three hardpoints along the path. Pros: The first time I saw the pilots, rather than run the zigzag path instead leap over a building, was really cool and really in the spirit of Titanfall. Calling down Titans is fun and cool and just like in the regular game you can kill things by dropping on them. Being able to win by score rather than just turrets is a good addition. Different maps actually have slightly different mechanics to them rather than just looking different from each other. Cons: Pay2win nonsense. Doesn't matter how good you are, if you're facing some guy with a legendary sentry tech and a bunch of maxed out cards, you're screwed. This is par for the course for this kind of game but doesn't make it any less annoying. While it improves on the mechanics of Clash Royale, it misses a lot of the heart and soul. My various pilots are just various pilots. It can be hard to even tell them apart. In Clash I know the difference on sight between the Prince vs Hog Rider vs Wizard vs Valkyrie, etc. I can't speak for everyone but I have intermittent network issues. Login rewards not wanting to open (I haven't lost any rewards this way) or trouble finding matches. No way to surrender a clearly lost match. Clash may be the same way, I can't recall off-hand. Regardless, highly annoying. Overall, it's a good game. Not great, not bad, just good. I can't speak for how long I'll keep playing it although at least for now it's got my interest. Still, nowhere near the masterpiece that Titanfall 2 is.

There doesn’t seem to be any limit to the appetite for good live multiplayer games, and any of them that arrive with an established name figure to have a leg up on the competition. With seasons, guilds and other standard features built in, Titanfall: Assault is definitely positioned to support an enthusiastic community. Will one form? Waiting to find out is probably going to carry some of the same anticipation you get while waiting for those Titans to drop.

Titanfall: Assault is largely just a gussied up version of Clash Royale that leans mostly on its brand to make itself stand out. It definitely looks great and has things reminiscent of Titanfall in it, but it doesn't surpass (or even match) the level of quality of the game that it's borrowing from.
