A great experience, even without VR. A touching story told through fantastic voice acting, amazing presentation and stellar music. Anybody who is down with the concept of video games as art and/or likes the vibe of movies like Nightmare Before Christmas is probably going to love this.

The PSVR2 version is full of bugs and the developers should be embarrassed. Constantly freezing up, not able to access items that you've picked up, and the game crashes when you access the options menu. I had to quit and change to flat tv just to access an item and use and then quit to the main menu again to put it back in VR. PSVR2 users who paid money for this deserve better.

Visualmente increíble, se siente más que un videojuego, se siente el arte visual y de audio, se ve que lo hicieron con mucho cariño, lo jugué en PS VR2

One of the most unique and beautiful games I've played in a long time. Visually stunning with a lovely and well told story. The characters are all really fun, voice acting is varied and mostly very good, and Joel Bille & Bortre Rymdens score is absoultely incredible, and worthy of a purchase as a stand alone record. This is a combination of eveything that makes Indie games truly excel over the big budget triple A games..a must play.

The Midnight Walk is a great game. The style and art are wonderful, all thanks to stop motion and the great effort the developers put into it. The characters are simple; they don't speak, but their actions speak volumes. I couldn't really understand the story. On the other hand, the mechanics are quite innovative in this game, and that's something I love. They're quite creative and original. The gameplay, accompanied by horror and suspense, creates an atmosphere worthy of the genre. I think there are more tense moments with a bit of fear, but that's what makes The Midnight Walk unique. Great game.

The Midnight Walk is undeniably one of the more artistic and visually inventive games I’ve encountered in recent years. Its distinctive use of claymation and puppetry creates a surreal, handcrafted atmosphere that sets it apart from conventional indie fare. The art direction is evocative and immersive, and full credit goes to the developers for crafting a world that feels both eerie and intimate. That said, while the presentation is exceptional, the gameplay leaves something to be desired. The pace is slow, and moments of true tension or engagement are few and far between. The handful of sequences that involve escaping from a looming creature offer a glimpse of excitement, but these moments are too infrequent to sustain the experience.Around the midpoint, repetition begins to take its toll. Many sections involve performing nearly identical actions in slightly different settings, which starts to wear thin. The latter half of the game shifts noticeably in tone and pacing, resembling more of an interactive film than a game. While narrative-driven experiences can certainly work, here it feels like the interactivity takes a backseat, with much of the player's involvement reduced to passively watching scenes unfold. Puzzle elements are minimal to the point of being almost nonexistent by the end.Perhaps the most difficult aspect to overlook is the price-to-value ratio. At $40, The Midnight Walk feels overpriced, especially considering its short length and limited replayability. It’s a title that could have felt more appropriate at a $20–$25 price **** summary, The Midnight Walk is a visual triumph that falters in gameplay depth and pacing. While I admire its creative ambition and aesthetic boldness, I ultimately found it lacking in engagement and substance.

For an indie game it's absolutely worth the money. The clay art style is very cool, the music fits the game perfectly, the narrator has this deep eerie voice, the story is like a fairytale from a dark place, and the audio sounds amazing in headphones but the game lacks any hard combat which I think that's how it's supposed to be.

Game of the year 2025 for me until now. Best artdirection, wonderfully done just with Clay. The Story (and small stories within) is beatiful. And dont even get me started on the Soundtrack. Piece of Art.

The Midnight Walk offers a unique blend of psychological horror and interactive storytelling, wrapped in an incredibly distinctive clay stop-motion art style. Players take on the role of The Burnt One, journeying alongside the charming Pot Boy through a haunting, melancholic world in search of the Moon Mountain to restore fire to their realm.Visually, the game stands out with its handcrafted animation, creating an atmosphere that feels both eerie and endearing. The soundtrack and sound design perfectly complement the mood, enhancing the immersive experience. While the story is emotionally compelling and explores themes of loss, empathy, and redemption, its pacing can feel uneven. The gameplay is deliberately minimalistic, with very simple puzzles and almost no combat, which may disappoint players looking for deeper interactivity or challenge. The narrative is more akin to watching a beautifully crafted, dark fairy tale than playing a traditional game.Ideal for players who appreciate innovative storytelling and artistic presentation, The Midnight Walk is a short but memorable journey that may feel too slow or simplistic for those used to more action-oriented or open-ended experiences.

This is an incredibly beautiful game – a meticulous piece of craftsmanship with extreme attention to detail (the characters are made of clay and 3D-scanned!). What is more, after a while, layers upon layers of philosophical reflection also emerge – which you dig through until you reach the core of the game. It feels like it’s also filled with loving references to everything from Tim Burton, David Lynch to Zen Buddhism and C. G. Jung. Future classic. I mean it.

A charming game that delivers on its premise. It knows what it wants to be. This is what it looks like to have an uncompromised vision, and to faithfully follow that vision through.

Sadly it gets boring very quick and not enough gameplay variety for me. I assume it's down to the fact they made this game run on VR and standard.

I get a bit motion sick from playing in VR sometimes, and that was the case with this game. Thankfully it’s playable on flat screen! The Midnight Walk is a fun, short little romp through a dark, twisted, foreign land made completely out of clay. Unique enemies, solid soundtrack, and easy to understand game mechanics make this a great game to play on the best gaming console on the market……The PlayStation 5 Pro!!!

The Midnight Walk is an unprecedented game; models fully built with clay, a story that tugs at your heartstrings while making you think, and a beautiful world to get lost in. A must play for anyone into dark fantasy or claymation!

The Midnight Walk is a very unique game and it was unputdownable. It looks amazing with all the clay-mation, dark characters and enviroment, and most of all, the brilliant music. But the low image quality is very obvious, so obvious that even some text couldn’t be read as it was too mushy. Every other way I enjoyed my 4-5 hours with the game, which comes to the price of the game that is not equal to the short gameplay. For 40€ I expected much longer game than this. Do I recommend The Midnight Walk? Yes, but with when it’s on sale.

Amazing story...this clay animation is fantastic...deep but at the same time well told stories characters go through...a little to simple but i guess they wanted to prioritize storytelling and in my opinion the hours of the game is **** doesn't drag out

(JEU) Bravo !

The stories. The art. The music. The characters. And last but not least: POTBOY! This is a unique, special gem to play. A treasure found in an old, rusty tin can. You won't be disappointed.

The Midnight Walk is a rare game that leaves you both exhilarated and profoundly moved. Its soundtrack is not only warm and comforting, but also raw and devastating when it needs to be — capable of breaking your heart and making you cry like never before. This isn’t just a game; it’s a journey shaped by the soul of its creators. Every detail feels infused with care and passion, and that emotional weight reaches the player in a way few titles ever achieve.Visually stunning and narratively powerful, it guides you through a whirlwind of emotions that linger long after the credits roll. I don’t think I’ve ever felt what I felt playing this — a game that doesn’t just tell a story, but invites you to live inside **** Midnight Walk isn’t just something you play. It’s something you feel.
