Sunken Realms

Sunken Realms has some charm in its visuals and little dialogue scenes, but the repetitive gameplay is enough to drive one to madness.

Impressive as Sunken Realms is for a solo-developed title, it lacks so much feeling that anything you bring out of its rote, imprecise, swordplay simulator is entirely your own. That is, if you can see anything in its impossibly dark environments. What could have been a curious throwback instead manifests as an unsatisfying and immemorable Souls-like without soul.
