Warning! You cannot play long games. After 500 turns, the frequency of crashes will increase so much that you cannot even make a save/pass turn anymore.

Tant qu'à faire essayez Rise and Fall.

Civ VI is probably one of the most addicting and well-put-together 4X games I have ever had the pleasure of playing and replaying year after year. Unlike its predecessor (Civ V), where I swear I started every single game the exact same way, Civ VI adds a whole bunch of depth and replayability with its districts, world-altering natural disasters, and diverse cast of characters that make every single game feel like a new and fresh attempt at building a civilization that will last throughout the ages.

Don't get me wrong, this game is fun because it's Civ. The gameplay of Civ is inherently fun to me. But while the game has that going for it, everything else makes it worse. The more cartoonish artstyle makes it feel less serious to me. The UI and apperance of menus are better and more immersive in Civ V in my opinion. I generally feel that there's a feeling of higher quality in Civ V compared to this game.

It's okay, but if forced to choose a 4x game I'm going with Stellaris 100% of the time. Even after 20 hours and plenty of Youtube tutorials Civ 6 doesn't have anywhere near the same immersion as Stellaris.

This game was a very good experience. Propably one of the best Strategy games I have played(it is my first experience of the franchise). The music and the mecanics of the game were really addictive. I almost gave it a 9/10, but there are two main negatives that I want to talk about. First: the game is reeealy slow. You can literally spend almost 20 hours to complete just 1 game, and it can be a problem for some people. And secondly: the price. I got this game for free, so this wasn't a negative for my, but 60 euros for this game is much more than too much. But, if you have the opportunity to buy this on discount, and you have time, I really recommend this game. For me it was a blast.

It was a long way to get there. If your only question is: Should i buy this game? Yes, definitely. You should buy it over pretty much every other 4X game, even Civ5 and definitely Civ7 can be considered worse games than this. This game is thousands upon thousands hours of content for pretty cheap price (around 30 euro on sale for full game). So, if you didn't play the game review can be considered over for you. I definitely recommend this game. Final score is at the end, but there is gonna be not a lot of talk about basic stuff. Civ6 praise and critique. A long wall of text could be written about Civ6 issues, but let's talk about good things: 1) Repeatability. Many Paradox gamers can talk anything they want about how the game is boring and the same every game, but if you dive deeper into core gameplay there is a lot of things balanced around your decisions and game accepts many different strategies to reach any victory type. Also, every civilization, leader, spawn location influence a lot. 2) Deep. Core mechanics are very deep and influence all other mechanics a lot. Your early pantheon can make or break the game, districts are core for any victory type etc. 'Additional' mechanics from DLCs or mods are worse, but still many of them can change your game in even unknown to your eye things. 3) One more turn effect. Present and addictive more than in any game series. This things are the best things that Civ6 can offer, core game without any mods are balanced pretty good if you don't abuse it and your strategies work and work very well most of the time. You can influence every little aspect and change the course of entire run by little decisions. It is so addictive and fun! Bad things are present too and there are a lot of things I hope gonna be fixed in Civ8 ( because Civ7 is broken beyond repair ). Let's focus on two main problems: 1) AI. It's stupid, unbalanced, unfair and not fun at all. Early game you feel like punching bag, late game is walk in the park if you know any good tactic and understand basics of how to win. Even mods can't fix this things and you need to actively avoid abusing the game and AI to not break immersion. 2) Multiplayer. Bugs, unfair balance in the base game and stupid amount of time you need to finish even a duel on the smallest map breaks MP experience for ****, I love this game. I really hope Civ7 gonna become a better version of it or modders gonna create It, because some things are just impossible to ignore. If you want to improve your experience, please install mods. Be careful with them and play around to see what suites you the most. Around 150+ hours of Epic Civ6 version without mods taught me how painful sometimes is to play vanilla game. Time for final score! "Story": 6/10. Civ6 is NOT historically accurate game and it works badly with presenting it, but the immersion effect is pretty great and the game itself without forcing it creates a pretty funny liberal-communist situation. Gameplay: 8/10. There are issues discussed above, but game is still one of the best 4X games with deep mechanics that have meaning. Is it too long? Yes. Games on faster difficulties break immersion, games on longer difficulties are 40+ hours to finish. I recommend using mods to fix this issue. Graphics: 6/10. Controversial style, but very readable and 'stylish' in it's own sense. Final score: 76/100. Civ6 is not perfect 4X, jeez, it is not even perfect Civilization game but it is very deep and meaningful and addictive for you to spend 1000+ hours on it. Deffo recommend!

Civilization VI, grand strategy denince akla gelen ilk oyunlardan biri.

Civilization VI with all its expansions is the best Civ-experience. Add mods to that, and you are in heaven.

I love this have! It‘s a great strategy game and i love the different winning options and the dlcs are very good too. I only don‘t like loyalty bit i think that‘s my fault cause i loose a lot of my city's because of that. My only criticism is that that the late game is sometimes a bit boring because you know who will win because the late game has not such a big impact.

Not perfect, with it's own challenges and issues, but so much better then Civ 7. It's like the team had at least played the game before and tried to iterate, as opposed to throwing a whole load of poorly led app engineers at it and letting them wreck the whole game. It's a really poor show from Firaxis and let's hope they learn from this disaster.

This game was good for its time but not the best in the series and not very repayable. After finishing it the first time, I had no desire to go back and play it.

Civ 6 nailed deep strategic decision-making, player agency, and empire-building. Each game felt unique with meaningful choices in loyalty, great people, and diplomacy. The UI had quirks, but the depth of mechanics and emergent gameplay made it an endlessly replayable experience. A true evolution of the series.

Best Game Ever, according to my Steam usage. I've clocked over 4,000 hours and have all the expansions on both my Steam account and iPhone. It is followed by about half as much time with Crusader Kings 3.

While I still prefer Civ 5... Civ 6 is still a fun game... just a little bit too complex for my taste, I think. Also, I don't care for the cartoonish map as much as the beautiful Civ 5 maps. Even so, Civ 6 is a good game (if you're into turn-based strategy games).

The game is breathtaking and addictive. Liked the cartoonish design. Making the game brighter and more intuitive. The only problem, of course, is DLCs that definitely don’t justify the high price.

A very comprehensive game within the franchise. Spent a couple of thousands of hours in it. Loved most of the mechanics, including the districts, climate change and resource management. It got a bit too complicated towards the end of it's shelf life and the multiplayer didn't work as well as in the previous installment.

Latest game update broke macos support: the game crushes every15-30 minutes. Unplayable. Otherwise okay game, but I like Civ V better.

The console version crashes late game. The developers have know about the issues for years but have done nothing to resolve it. And they're still selling it without informing costumer. Don't waste your money on the console version and don't trust what the developers say. I won't be buying Civ 7 unless they prove it works properly.

I'm playing on PS4. It's a fun game and I've been enjoying it. My biggest issue though is that it doesn't have accessibility options. I'm playing on a tv in my living room and it's really hard to read everything, and that gets tiresome after a while. To put it short: don't buy this game on console if you have bad eyesight, or plays in a tv far from your eyes.

Complex and stimulating, this Grand Strategy title is a beefed up clash of clans with dozens of empires to control and multiple paths to victory, ensuring unique runs every time. I can guarantee that hours will pass while you tell yourself "only one more round of this ****".

One of the best strategies out there. Not overcomplicated, just all the important stuff. Only thing that keeps me for making it a 10 is some engaging campaign and more engaging scenarios. Can't wait for Civ7.

It is certainly as addictive as Civ V, but with much worse design. The game runs much nicer, and is worth playing with friends, but in single player it often feels more like struggling against the system than building an empire. The amount of text to read for every decision makes me just want to pick up a book instead, and the lack of explanation for rules just means more reading in the civlopedia. Lastly, the UI is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. I feel it needs a mod or keybinding just to make it playable sometimes. There are definitely elements of the game that I absolutely love, but there are just as many that I can’t stand.

Fun game but if you are new to the genre like me, you need a lot of time to even begin to understand the mechanics of games like this, so have that in mind.

It's a good game, but after 20 hours of playing it is boring and not so fun anymore. And for 59,99 it's overpriced. My tip for buying games is to buy it on MMOGA.

This game is a hard one to review. While being really interesting and fun, it’s really hard to get into. It took me 25 hours to even grasp at least the third of the mechanics and I still don’t get some of the things in this game. If the game had some sort of tutorial, it would be, without a doubt, a 9.

The legendary simulation/strategy game. Civ 6 is surprisingly deep if you want it to be. Easy to play, very hard to master. Made of many small building blocks that align together in many different ways. Settling is a mini game of its own, managing your territory and beyond to place the cities in the best possible positions. If you master this game, you’re even seeing where your districts will be placed, and how you’ll benefit from adjacency to others. Where you’ll put your wonders, which city will handle what, etc. Technologies and civics are key and varied. It is brutally important to keep short/mid and long term goals in mind when deciding what to research. One moment too late and you’ll be left with a low tier unit against a fierce opponent. One moment too late and someone else will build the wonder you were dreaming of. I absolutely love how the map is built, procedurally from a varied set of presets. The map is built out of hexagons, and every unit pathfinds through them. Each tile may have special features, it can be made of water, dry land, forest… It can contain a specific resource or be ideal for a certain **** you advance in the game, you’ll discover more of the map, and unlock more of its resources to exploit. You’ll witness how your civilization grows from the stone age to the future age, and be instrumental in how it all plays out. Playing online is advised as the AI is limited, so if you have some friends that are up to it play with them. It’s much better online. The game suffers from the classical simulation game issue in late game, where your civ has grown too much and you have too much to micro-manage, so take that into account. I think it lacks more complex endings to decide who wins a game, the default ones are just too straightforward. If you amass science and production you’ll win first, that’s how it is. If you don’t like the other paths, you’ll end up playing similarly unless your opponents force you to adapt.Overall, this is most probably the greatest simulation/strategy game in the market as of now.

I've played civilization games since the first iteration, I'm that old. I started this game, it couldn't detect my configuration so I had to go in the menu to set everything to the max: quite an oddity that a game can't do that these days. Then I started to play: wow, do I have the right resolution? Am I playing in 800x600? Nope, 1080p. Why are the characters have chil-like features? Why is everything so cartoonish? Oh, it crashed at the end of the first turn. Tried a second game, wow, why do I have to make my mouse travel corner to corner so much? Who designed the UI? oh this is clearly not for me. Refund. Let's go back to Civ V.

Each entry in this strategy series takes a while to gel after release, but then consistently eclipses all prior editions, and Civ VI is no exception. One of the most replayable strategy games ever developed. It would be nice to have even more scenarios that force players to use different play styles than they are used to, however they just started releasing monthly challenges so I hope these fill that gap.
