Despite Pangya: Fantasy Golf's technical shortcomings, it's still really fun and has a lot of replay value. You could spend 15 to 20 hours playing through the Story mode alone, followed by tons of challenges to complete and tournaments to join.

Pangya should provide golf fans (and RPG fans mildly interested in golf) dozens of hours of entertainment with its several modes, gentle learning curve, and unlockable content. [Aug 2009, p.73]
Even though Pangya is not the most unique title gameplay-wise, it is still enjoyable.

Best golfgame ive ever played. It beats mario golf gba, n64 and others and the likes of everybody golf. The dialogues and characters are very sweet and well done. A lost tennis player millionaire who must play golf to get home, but has a knack to talk to shopping bags is awesome. Or the hyper heroic fat belly cop that find everyone suspicious and want to arrest everyone, if his mind is not set on woman or his comfort food, chicken. The courses are breathtaking with beautiful loud colors and easy going music. There are buyable golfclubs, balls, rings and allot of customization in fashion. Its a bit the same system as monster hunter now. The easy going aside, this is also an jrpg of some sorts and takes golf further than for example ‘everybody golf’ does. Pangya has anime heroes and dark lords and the games progression feels like advancing in a fire emblem gba game. I only wanted to try this game, as the name ‘fantasy golf’ intrigued me, but i got addicted and play only this game. There is allot to do and im happy i can’t burn through it quickly and can take my time. This game has a beautiful vibe to stay in, comparable to new bright water town in sudeki.

If you want a solid golf game, with some refreshing ideas that actually work with the game or if you liked "Everybody's Golf" and want more games like that, Pangya might be for you. That being said, "Pangya" goes several steps higher than "Everybody's Golf", so it's truly "Fantasy Golf". I can't speak for everyone, but don't be afraid of the cuteness and colors. Such things can be annoying, but somehow the whole concept is pretty relaxing and fun. And if you love to unlock and buy a lot of items, Pangya got you covered. This game is a "happy place" type game, motivational and without getting pampered.

I love golf games, but this one is just awful. Hearing PANGYA every time you make a shot is really annoying. Story is **** and characters are nothing but disappoint. Gameplay is fine but after everybody's golf dosen't feel right. I was making shots accidentally while trying to skip animation and that pissed me off.

Sure, it can overload the senses with cuteness but in the end it will win you over with its enchanting style and satisfying gameplay.

If you love the Hot Shots Golf PSP titles, and are itching for something similar, I can definitely recommend Pangya: Fantasy Golf. While being a little more casual feeling, it still has quite a lot of depth and variety, a lengthy single player campaign, and a ton of content to unlock.

Worth Playing
Pangya: Fantasy Golf is a decent golf title on the system, and it's nice to have something else to play other than Hot Shots.

Pangya may not be as technologically robust as its competition, but it definitely makes up for it in personality. Golf is rarely this weird, but we loved every minute of it.

I find Pangya simply the best of them all other Gold games. First of all, the system of Pangya is easy-to-learn and neat. The animations are simply great, the dialogs between some characters are funny, especially those between Uncle Bob and Lolo. It could have been better if they updated the game... but it still rocks!
