There's nothing incredible about it, but the devs keep adding new content, each new island having more effort. Unlike many games, especially on mobile, paywalls aren't being forced in, and that earns them respect. Playing this game almost ensures you'll never have everything maxed out, you will always have things to complete or improve.

OMG, This game is literally havin' a chance of being a GOTY. The music is unique, the art is always hand made by heart, the island designs are SICK! There's literally no flaws in the game, a cool community, and Big Blue Bubble has done an AMAZING job making this game and expanding it, and I should recommend it, but there are ads and time gates that may cause frustration to you, but this is probably a GOTY! Wow, this game is frickin' AMAZING!!! I recommend to play it!!!!!!

My singing monsters is a great game and you should play it! There are lots of islands to go and breed new monsters! It is a great game as it is easy to play so no one gets frustrated! Even if it has some waiting mechanics, Play this now! Good job Big Blue Bubble!

This is easily one of the most pay to win games I have ever played. After a certain point, unless you want an empty bank account there’s almost nothing to do in the game. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The “Monster Handlers” only respond to positive reviews on the app store. Plus, they’re constantly adding tons of late game islands, monsters and structures. But easily the worst part is the fact that there’s so, so, so much waiting. Breeding, making treats, incubating, removing obstacles, upgrading structures all require an absurd amount of waiting! And as a bonus, the “Monster Handlers” never fix any issues and probably never will. If you want a fun game about music, play Beat Saber, Friday Night Funkin, DDR, any other game. They have qualities My Singing Monsters could never dream of having.

I loved this game initially, but I have to agree with artnat. You reach a point when you have to spend a lot of money or wait around endlessly for something to happen. My daughter has also trailed off this game quite quickly. It is very charming to start with, but soon becomes extremely frustrating.
