GMR Magazine
The physics, camera, and controls are great: Everything feels perfect, and there's an awesome sense of speed (helped out by the rock-solid 60 fps). [June 2004, p.81]
The depth of the career- and online play make MTX Mototrax a superior choice. The game has virtually no glitches or flawed design.

Xbox Nation Magazine
Mototrax offers an almost visceral appeal - you can really feel the bike moving under you. [June 2004, p.86]

A great motocross game, with several modes to enjoy, such as the career mode, which is really cool. There are normal races, an event to see who can do the most tricks, and you can create your own race. The game's soundtrack is spectacular, the graphics are great for the PSP, and the highlight is the gameplay, which is extremely enjoyable. MTX is a complete game that can keep you entertained for hours and hours.

Gaming Illustrated
A pretty addictive title and has earned some great marks for sound and gameplay. This title's best features include the career mode which sucked hours on end from my life.

Next Level Gaming
It's got solid and easy-to-learn gameplay, a very good career mode, and online gameplay which to me always adds points to my score.

Official Xbox Magazine
May not be as challenging as "MX Unleashed," but it's definitely more polished. [May 2004, p.76]

Game Over Online
The career mode and the concepts behind the single player game are definitely innovative, and are a solid addition to the racing genre. However, a somewhat tenuous connection between modes, a lackluster inclusion of a trick system and a limited number of tracks keeps Mototrax stuck at the gate for all but the most enthusiastic Motocross fans.

Operation Sports
It just doesn't have enough variety to satisfy the offline gamer.

Console Gameworld
A good motocross game that qualifies as a rental for everyone, and a purchase for those that truly love the sport of dirt bike racing.
60
Electronic Gaming Monthly
The game initially strikes a good balance between challenging and rewarding but becomes extremely difficult in later stages (despite bike upgrades), ramping up the frustration factor considerably - and unnecessarily. [May 2004, p.88]
