Moon Raider
Moon Raider is a decent throwback to the pixelated games of the 90’s. It is lacking in some departments like the story, but the pixel art is nicely done and the action is familiar and fun for the duration of the experience. The bosses could have been a little more inspired. It took me about 4 hours to play through the game and my recommendation really comes down to the price; if it’s over $10 then I’d say to wait for a sale. If you’re looking for a short distraction with a local co-op option then this might be a game for you.
Without a fun world to explore, Moon Raider can’t fall back on its charm or style, as it only has a limited pool of it, and it doesn’t feel good enough to play. Moon Raider has been stripped back too far, and what’s left is a pencil outline of a Metroid game, and that’s not enough.

Good game. The gameplay isn’t very difficult, but there are some unbalanced areas on some levels. The boss fights aren’t too difficult, although some require patience and a few tries(specially the last boss). The pixelated graphics, the environments, heroes and enemies in this game are lovely ,colorful, and fun to look at. Music is kind of forgettable, but serviceable. Platforming is ok, but could have been more tight on the controls. The hit boxes on the laser gun don’t always connect with the enemies . And the jumping mechanism is not so great. But this is not that bad to break the game.
