More fun than the first part but the story of this game was not as good as first one.

played this game multiple times as a kid, but it wasn't until I grew up and truly understood it that I fell in love with it. Everything about this game is on another level; whether it’s the story or the gameplay physics, it’s all brilliant. In my opinion, the details were the best of that era. You can interact with almost everything in the environment—faucets, TVs, elevators, and doors—it’s all fantastic. The story really pulls you into the atmosphere, especially Max’s relationship with Mona and how his past from the first game still haunts him. The levels are beautifully designed, particularly the building structures and interiors, which is further enhanced by the interactivity I mentioned. I highly, highly recommend that anyone who hasn't played this game gives it a try."

The physics system is a great way to enhance the gameplay, but everything rest given by Remedy and Sam Lake's Max Payne 2 is nothing revolutionary. Personally I didn't like the new distorsion of the story, but still a great story.

Much like the first Max Payne, I played this in 2023 over the course of an evening and definitely enjoyed my 7 hours discovering the origins of the Remedy I now know and love. Just had to download a few unofficial patches to get it to run without (that many) bugs

It is no doubt that this game is Remedy's finest piece of work. If you thought Max Payne 1 was great, you haven't seen anything yet. As well as improved bullet time and controls, the game hosts an outstanding story that explores complex themes of romance, crime and revenge. The graphics were outstanding for the time, and while being shorter than the first game, it is truly a masterpiece. 5/5 stars.

The first one I liked more, but this is also a great game. A little bit too short.

Great sequel of first game as they improved shooting mechanics, bulletdodge mechanics and they added more guns. A nice story and amazing atmosphere for a game like this. I played this game in 2025 and i can say that this game has aged like fine wine.

"Fall" is an improvement over the original in many ways. It has slicker graphics, bigger action and a more complex story. Developer Remedy really nailed the classic tone of film noir with this sequel. But it also doesn't innovate the gameplay in any major way. The first "Max" definitely made more of an impact. Overall, I'd rate this with a 9 out of 10.

Mükemmel bir devam oyunu. İlk oyunda yaşananlardan sonra Max Paynenin ruh halini çok daha iyi anladığımız bir oyun. İlk oyun da olduğu gibi çatışmalara girmek ve birilerine sıkmak bu oyunda da çok zevkli. İlk oyundaki Max Paynenin yüzü bu oyunda değiştirilmiş. İkinci oyunda profesyonel bir ekiple çalışmışlar. Eski yüz ne kadar ikonik olursa olsun yeni yüzü çok daha iyi olmuş. Bu oyun ve ilk oyun aradan uzun yıllar geçse bile eskimiyor bu yüzden 2025 yılında bile sıkılmadan bitirebilirsiniz. Oyunda kendiniz save alıyorsunuz ve bu oyunun en önemli corelarından biri. Oyun eski bir oyun olduğundan dolayı zorluğu var. Bazen çıldırtıyor ama yineden oyun zevkinizi baltalayacak kadar değil.

Также как и первая часть, вторая - великолепна. Одна из лучших игр в жизни в любом аспекте. Добраться бы до третьей части. Первые 2 проходил много раз в течение всей жизни, а до третьей руки не доходят, но, думаю, что на днях тут появится моя оценка последней части. А вскоре и ремейков.

My only real gripe with the game is that it isn't longer! This is still one of the best shooters and games out there due to the unique and incredible mix of atmosphere, theme, story, and gameplay. It is an improvement from the original in every sense of the way and holds up perfectly to this day. I just wish Max could be happy :(

This game rocks. Played it in 2024 on my Series X with the disc through backwards compatibility and it played buttery smooth with quick load times. Much better than the first. The story is great, gun play still super fun, better level design, and a very effective atmosphere still. It also knew not to take itself too seriously which I appreciated. There is now a lot of mission variety and different npcs help you fight which I found refreshing and it made for some sick set pieces for the original Xbox.

Better than the first one, has more money behind it. The cutscenes/comics are much better than the first. The gameplay is better too, more fluid.

I loved everything about this game. Rest in peace James McCaffrey, you were the best.

NO HOPE, NO HARM. VOLUME 2. At first I was pleasantly surprised that the game is from 2003 and looks quite nice and quite detailed, unlike the games of that time that were released at the same time (GTA VC, Mafia 1). The faces of the main characters and even the secondary ones look really well-developed and do not resemble something very low-poly without any facial animations. I was glad that this part already has a full-fledged ragdoll; for 03, I think it was very impressive. The plot here is more mundane, as for me, it is shorter than in the 1st part, more restrained and there is no contrast between the events. In terms of gameplay, this is essentially the 1st part, but more polished and refined (probably the headshot system and not such stone bots as they were in the 1st part). The only thing I didn’t like was how bullet time was implemented, for me it’s too fast and there’s no feeling that everything around is really freezing, as for me it cuts down on the very cinematic quality that was shown in MP1. Well, of course, in the end I’ll say that it didn’t quite go over that the appearance of all the characters is radically different from the previous part, sometimes it feels like something is wrong. Otherwise, this is a good, consistent and worthy sequel in which there is nothing superfluous and in fact it does not stand out from the general atmosphere that the developers set in MP1.

The first part was great. Therefore, I really wanted to play the second part right away. And I can safely say that the second part is just as super positive for me! Only 2 years have passed since the first part. But the budget itself has grown a lot, which is due to the fact that the development company was bought by T2. And it is immediately noticeable that the game itself has become larger. The picture has become much more beautiful, although Max's funny face has disappeared, he still looks great. And the shooting itself became much more pleasant. Also, the mechanics with time stop have changed. Now she was recovering from her slain **** the plot itself is still beautiful. In the game, we are told the events that take place after the first part. In this game, many problems from life continue to be raised: love, death, work and **** gameplay is almost the same. We also run around the location and kill enemies. But in this part we have added another playable character, Monna. Which is nice to play and feels the difference in the game compared to Max **** general, everything good that was in the first part was transferred to the second, but improved and added a little new. The second part turned out to be an equally excellent game! And for me, it was even better than the first part.
