The game is a bit buggy the eyes always go to the corners which makes cutscene and gameplay weird

I started Mafia 2 full of expectations after loving the first game, but at the beginning I ended up a bit disappointed and put it aside for a while. Later on, I came back to it without thinking about my previous experience, and I was actually able to enjoy the game much more. In my opinion, the strongest point of this game is the relationship between Vito and Joe, something I had not felt since seeing Nate and Sully in Uncharted. However, that ending is what really made the whole game worth it in the end.

i bought this game i had it on my laptop and i bought this game on my main pc because i had it on torent and its my favorite game and characters ate funny

dont know why a lot of people are **** on definitive edition maybe bcz of nostalgia **** and all but to me the game is aweson from everywhere even the visuals are good story is top notch id deffinitly recommend this to others tho there are a lot of nudes spread around this game i mean its not like i dont like em but its very inappropiate good thing no kids were around me when that happens

Hoş oynanabilir bir oyun. araç mekanikleri hoş, çatışma mekanikleri yoş, kısa oynnanabilir bir oyun. Fakat hikayenin sonu beni hiç tatmin etmedi. Tatmin edici bir sonu olsa yedi verirdim.

Good story and good characters but except the dlc because dlc is garbage and Joe dlc is mid.

The game was fun, but very glitchy repetitive scenes and Janky but the storyline was very good. Enjoyed it.

it's a great game nice story and i'm glad for the czech dubbingcontrols are great except for the cars they are hard to control but it's an interesting part of the game every game has its own this one has an interesting driving style, i like the supporting characters and the story telling style just the open world is so meh nake the passages are annoying

It should have more autosaves or allow you to save at any moment, because it gets repetitive. If it weren’t for this, my rating would be a 7 or 8 at most. It took me 11 hours.

guys this game was too damn hard ı played it on mediun difficulty whatever in this game we have a lot of bugs for **** man steps out of the trenc for a second then do a fckin 360 peh its killing me you started from nearly begining of the mission now lets talk about positive aspects first story was very good but ı think first ones story is better than second game.apart from the bugs rest of the game was quite good

Um jogo simplesmente solido, dificil apontar pontos incriveis, mas tbm é dificil achar pontos realmente negativos, historia mais bem contada da serie, e o mais ''Mafia'' tbm.

Well, that’s it, another chapter is over. The story was really good, no happy ending – just the way I like it in games like this. The atmosphere is worth mentioning: those first steps in snowy Empire Bay with the soundtrack playing - the same one I remember from an old coffee tv ad back in childhood - that was really cool.Most of the characters are interesting and make you feel something with their actions. Of course, there are some empty ones, but that’s more of an exception. I really hope for a remaster one day, to experience the story again with fresh eyes – the game does feel a bit outdated technically. Overall: 8 Al Pacinos / 10.P.S. Don’t go for platinum. The achievement grind really ruins the experience, at least for me.

This game is just so good! It's one of the best games i have ever played. The lore is perfect, Solid graphics, and interesting game play. Recommend to everyone to play it

Mafia II: Definitive Edition sigue siendo una gran historia de crimen clásico, con una narrativa sólida, personajes memorables y una ambientación brillante inspirada en el cine de mafias. Empire Bay es un escenario vivo que atrapa por su tono y coherencia histórica.Esta versión mejora el apartado visual, aunque no está exenta de problemas técnicos y animaciones irregulares que le restan pulido. La jugabilidad es simple y algo anticuada, pero cumple gracias al peso de la historia y la inmersión.Conclusión: una remasterización imperfecta de un gran juego. Si vienes por la historia, merece la pena.

Mafia 2 es una obra maestra narrativa. Lo mejor de su saga sin duda, sin duda, es cómo te sumerge en su historia; la vida de Vito Scaletta está contada con un ritmo y un doblaje tan buenos que parece que estás dentro de una película de Scorsese. Además, la variedad de misiones hace que nunca te aburras, y conducir esos coches de época por Empire Bay mientras suena jazz de los 50 en la radio es una experiencia increíble que no **** sí, el sistema de conducción es "enfermizo" en el buen sentido: se siente el peso de los coches y es muy satisfactorio, aunque el mapa se queda algo cojo por la falta de puntos interactivos. Se echa de menos tener más cosas que hacer en la ciudad y que la historia durase un poco más, ya que se siente algo corta comparada con el primer Mafia, que para mí sigue siendo superior. Aun así, solo por lo bien narrado que está y su ambientación, es un juego que hay que jugar sí o sí. Un 8,9.

My third favourite Mafia game. This game has maybe the best story of the games but visuals hold it back a little. The free roam world is limited but is still good. I personally like the game but cannot say it’s better than the og as I haven’t played it

Secondo me è assolutamente alla pari del primo Mafia: un gioco davvero eccezionale. La storia è molto bella e coinvolgente, e ci si affeziona subito a Vito e Joe, una coppia fantastica con un’alchimia incredibile. Anche Leo è un grande ****, carismatico e ben scritto, che lascia il segno ogni volta che appare. Empire Bay è una città stupenda, viva e curata nei dettagli, capace di farti sentire davvero dentro l’epoca e nella storia. Menzione d’onore per la colonna sonora: le musiche sono semplicemente top e contribuiscono tantissimo all’atmosfera.

I wasn't very interested in the story, I couldn't build any kind of relationship with most of the characters, and I didn't feel like I was part of the mafia family. The main character you control is bland and uninteresting. The only character I enjoyed was your good friend Joe. A large part of the missions were stolen from the first part, and many things in the story were unclear or illogical. It definitely didn't live up to its potential.

It’s a good game overall, but technically it’s much worse than Mafia: Definitive Edition. Graphically it looks really dated, which is disappointing for a remaster/remake. The story is less engaging and less original compared to the first one, though it’s still enjoyable enough to keep you playing. Despite its flaws, if you’re a fan of classic mafia movies, it’s definitely worth playing at least once. It still manages to capture that crime-movie atmosphere that makes the series special.

Mafia II offers an engaging story with action sequences that are truly thrilling and immersive. However, spending too much time driving around the city can feel repetitive and slows down the overall pacing. Still, when the action kicks in, the game shines and keeps you hooked.

After Mafia 1, I started playing Mafia 2 directly. The story is good at first, but it starts to get boring towards the middle and the gameplay is really bad. Even though I liked Mafia 1, this game was boring to me.

Coming back around to mafia 2 its very much a game stuck in its time as its age shows. In the gameplay specifically. Shooting is stiff, enemy Ai isn't great but not terrible and as many people have pointed out in the past the definitive edition is arguably if not easily worse then the original (but at least you also get a free copy of it when you buy the game) with more visual bugs/glitches and they even cut some cutscenes from the game for no real reason seeing as they kept basically everything else in. The story is still strong even if it ends a bit to fast for my liking but the original did so similarly as well. Voice acting is great, characters are very enjoyable and the missions vary enough to not get boring.

legendary game developers tried to make better but it didnt happened. useless update, adds nothing new to game, doesnt make anything better. i would love to see full remaster, but not this anyway game is great, love it

Experiência individual de imersão sensacional, entre no roleplay. Cada período do jogo realmente te conecta com a história.

It is the same game as mafia 2 non definitive edition. Not worth it if you have played the original one.

I will not talk about the fact that at the end it becomes very stuffy to pass the chapters.... The developers never fixed the bug with infinite loading when robbing stores. I will have to replay the incredibly boring monotonous shootouts in which you are constantly killed from anywhere. The shootouts are clearly not designed to be played on high difficulty.Unfortunately, absolutely all the advantages of the game overlap with this.

Achei a história mediana, alguns momentos se tornam interessantes, e em outros sao bem chatas e repetitivas, em geral o mundo aberto evoluiu em relação ao primeiro. Dando muito mais oportunidades do q fazer no mundo em si, as musicas q tocam no radio são incríveis. E o unico coletavel legal é o da playboy nota:8 pro jogo. Mas acho q deveriam ter feito um remake, devido esse fato nota:7/10

Mafia I rules. Mafia II blows. Worse graphics. Worse performance. Worse story. Irritating missions. How did they mess this up?

It feels like this opus has the same highs than 'Mafia: Definitive Edition' (the first), but sadly suffers from some inconvenients in addition. To get freshly into it: I launched the game and it kept on crashing on the main menu... Not promising at all. I had to delete the 2K identificator file in order to launch the **** story remains highly engaging thanks to a well-paced narrative, some intriguing characters (and many interactions between them), an excellent effort put in the environment and, obviousluy, the music.Certainly the plot (no spoil) is a lot alike the one of the first Mafia game. Some missions are just iconic and make you dive in intense hellish scenes full of adrenaline and gunshots. It's simply iconic at some point. Once again, the environment is very diverse and navigate through it is a real pleasure, as you can take advantage of many laying objects. The post-war american urban ambience is terrific, and many details make this world teeming with a captivating energy. The AI is particularly good, sometimes a bit suicidal, but the rest of the time is perfectly aware of its surroundings and takes cover a ****'s just too bad to me that the story suffers from several long cuts in addition to some repetitive or just boring missions, as escort or shadowing pursuit ones. It also remained a lot of bugs here and there, some 'just' breaking the immersion, some making you reload your last save.'Mafia II: DE' was not ugly to me but somehow certainly had an old vibe attached to its visuals and controls. The colours are specially not good, as the whole city appears to be in shades of plain grey (no I won't specify how much). The visuals are often blurry and there were systematic unexplainable lags during my playthrough (especially during driving sessions).Driving is basically the base of the game, since 95% of the missions require a car. It was not always a fun time: car are slow (obviously), have slick tires and close to 0 road grip. Even when you max upgrade your car it skids on miles.I did both of the DLCs and it was dramatically mid: you just embody another character and complete quick missions with few context. Plus they added that time pressure and the points counting which were not useful at **** conclusion, the main story is very entertaining but the bugs, the lack of morale and the repetitivity may disturb you. Don't bother getting those stupid collectibles and to achieve these two boring DLCs.

Good game, my favorite mafia. However, it is dated and has a lot of bugs. I hope there is a remake in the future.

Very moderate improvements over the original Mafia II in terms of graphics, I did not notice any gameplay improvements really. It does work pretty well on Steam deck which is a plus.

Mafia II es consecuente con la historia del primer Mafia. Si bien es cierto que se siente un poco mejor que su predecesor, no reinventa la rueda en su formula jugable y se basa en los mismos conceptos: una gran historia, excelentísima banda sonora con una selección increíble de temas de la época y buenos tiroteos. Aun así se siente demasiado inmediato. No hay misiones secundarias que hagan usar mas el mapa que de por si es bastante grande, aunque no excesivo. Los personajes están muy bien narrados y el final es bueno aunque me parece un poco abrupto. También me gusto el enlace con el primero en una misión especifica y creo que se siente en general como una evolución a medias. Mafia II no deja de ser un juego muy bueno, con una muy gran historia.

After playing Mafia 1 definitive edition you'd expect that the remade version of the sequel would be even better in terms of graphics and physics however that's not the case here. Still, I had tons of fun wandering through the city and feeling the vibes of it with the environment and the soundtrack on the radio. Despite the relatively low rating, I can with certainty say that Mafia 2 is one of my most favorite and loved games ever.
