A Masterpiece of Tension... But It's Not Without Its Flaws "Ozark" is one of those series that captivates you and stays with you long after you've finished watching it. From the very first moment, the show immerses you in a suffocating atmosphere of tension, and maintains this tense pace with rare skill throughout its seasons. What truly sets this work apart is its unique visual style; the cool colors and deep shadows aren't just an aesthetic choice; they're characters in themselves, effectively reflecting the dark and dangerous world the characters are immersed in. The acting is the backbone of the series. We have an exceptional trio: Jason Bateman delivers a calm and thoughtful performance, making you feel the weight of the world on his shoulders with every silent moment. Laura Linney delivers one of the most complex and powerful female characters on screen, in a transformation that's both stunning and frightening. Julia Garner is simply the heart and tragic heart of the story; her performance is iconic and deserving of all praise and appreciation. But despite all these positives, the series isn't perfect. At times, I felt the plot falter and sacrifice logic for momentary suspense, and some narrative threads and secondary characters didn't receive the same depth and attention as the main characters. The ending, without going into detail, was controversial for many, including myself, as I felt it didn't live up to the tremendous dramatic buildup that preceded it. Ultimately, "Ozark" is an unmissable television experience and a shining example of high-quality drama. It's a well-crafted, powerful, and moving work, but some writing hiccups prevent it from reaching the level of flawless, timeless works. My personal rating: 7.7/10
