I went into Mafia: Definitive Edition without many expectations, but what I experienced was a true masterpiece. The story is incredibly well told, and the plot kept me fully engaged from start to finish, to the point where I completed the game in just over a weekend. Another great aspect is how the game expands its world by telling the stories of other mobsters through collectibles, which adds extra depth and makes the experience even more immersive.

Even though it’s a good game, I felt it was worse than the first one. Both are extremely fun and really make you think, but Portal 2 limits the levels much more, which ends up making them a bit more tedious. That said, in terms of narrative, the story is excellent and infinitely superior to the first game’s. Finally, when it comes to gameplay and graphics, there’s nothing particularly innovative here, but they are solid and follow the standards of the time.

I had already heard a lot of great things about this game and about how important it is for the industry, so my expectations were pretty high, and they were definitely met. The game really hooked me with its excellent gameplay and the variety of things you can do using the core mechanic. Even though it was released back in 2007, Portal still holds up as an amazing experience and, honestly, it’s better than many modern games today.

I thought it would be a bit longer, but even so, I didn’t find it bad at all. The game managed to keep me on the edge of my seat, especially during that intense chase scene that had my heart racing the entire time. I’m really excited to dive into the other chapters and see how the story continues to unfold. Despite its shorter length, moments like that chase made the experience thrilling and left me eager for what’s coming next.

The game honestly didn’t live up to my expectations. The combat isn’t anything special, the gameplay also feels pretty average, and while the story is somewhat interesting, the characters are fairly forgettable. What I liked the least was the side content, which I found extremely boring and repetitive, to the point where it felt like a chore rather than something enjoyable. On the other hand, I did appreciate the Japanese folklore theme, which is genuinely interesting and gives the game some personality, even if it’s not enough to fully save the experience for me.

I really enjoyed Limbo, so I already had a rough idea of what to expect, and Inside ended up delivering that same silent vibe that’s both incredibly interesting and unsettling at the same time. The atmosphere does a lot of heavy lifting, and the puzzles throughout the adventure aren’t too complicated, which keeps the pacing smooth and engaging. What disappointed me a bit was the ending, which I feel could have been more developed. Still, overall I liked the experience a lot and would definitely like to see more games from Playdead in the future.

I installed the game thinking it would be a simple, fun little delivery game, but I was completely wrong. The story surprised me a lot, especially with Winston’s backstory, which added a lot of depth. I do think the gameplay could use some improvement, particularly when moving on foot, which felt a bit clunky at times. Another strong point is the character development, which I really enjoyed and felt well-crafted. To wrap it up, I believe the game deserves a sequel, especially considering the ending was quite unclear and left a lot of questions unanswered.

Honestly, this is the best game in history. The beginning is a bit slow, and I can understand why some players might give up there, but the best advice I can give is to keep going, because what follows is arguably the greatest experience in gaming. The attention to detail is absolutely mind-blowing, and the living world Rockstar created truly deserved Game of the Year, even though I love God of War. The story alone is enough to bring any man to tears, and the main character builds an unmatched connection with you. In my opinion, this is a blessing Rockstar gave us,an absolute masterpiece.

As someone who’s really passionate about narrative-driven games, I absolutely loved Detroit: Become Human. That said, I understand it might not be the best fit for everyone, especially if you’re not into slower-paced, dense storytelling. One of the game’s biggest highlights is the sheer number of different paths the story can take, there are so many choices and outcomes that every playthrough feels unique. This game definitely piqued my interest in exploring more from Quantic Dream, and I’m excited to see what other narrative experiences they have to offer.
