Strikes a near perfect balance between solid RTS gameplay with an epic, fantasy storyline.
81
The game is in fact in real time, but as you have absolute control of game speed, you can slow it down sufficiently for it to be considered to be turn-based. Hence, this game presents the ideal combination for fans of both types of strategies.

The original storyline combined with innovative new ideas for RTS games will even keep the interest of players not historically attracted to this genre.

Great game, played it a lot. Mechanics are good, gameplay is good, Difficulty level is balanced. Perfect.

Fantastic game for it's time. It had the unique concept of companies rather than individual units which greatly reduced the combat micro allowing greater focus on battle strategy. This was complimented by a great economic model that got rid of the 'resource gatherer' and construction micro of Warcraft series, The biggest drawback to the game was the multi player match making which could not compete with Battlenet.

Kohan is the slickest, most polished, and the most entertaining fantasy strategy game to come along in a very long time.

TimeGate Studios have wrapped the entire title in a scintillating storyline.

Breaks RTS conventions the way the Taliban break Buddhist statues.

For a true PC RTS to surpass the lazy day couch and button mash of a console classic, it must be fun! Kohan: Immortal Sovereigns is.

By far, this game has one of the simplest, yet all-encompassing interfaces I've seen in awhile.

SummaryNo, it's not another Warcraft clone. This well-received first title from TimeGate Studios introduces a unique combination of real-time gaming and turn-based strategy that sheds the old unit micromanagement scheme and emphasizes fantasy strategic combat.
