Kingdom Come: Deliverance has finally escaped the shackles of being restricted to last-generation console performance thanks to its new upgrades.

In a perfect world, I would have liked some extra graphical options allowing this version to feel even closer to the PC one, such as being able to turn off the dreaded motion blur. I also would have loved anything that made this adventure feel entirely new no matter if you've played before or not, such as some aforementioned combat tweaks. However, the world isn't perfect. Nor is Warhorse's first go at recreating medieval Bohemia, but it is beautiful. Made even more so by this Next-Gen Edition, which is a fine reminder or fantastic introduction to Henry's debut.

As a current-gen upgrade rather than a remaster/remake, this PS5/Xbox Series version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance does its job well. It effectively utilizes the capabilities of the latest consoles to display the 2018 title smoothly in up to 4K resolution, complete with high-definition textures, even if these don't entirely mask the fact that it's an eight-year-old game. Thanks to its impeccable performance, this is clearly the best console iteration of Warhorse Studios' first title, despite the controls being generally less intuitive with a gamepad than with the PC keyboard/mouse combo.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance offers a unique and highly immersive RPG experience set in the historically accurate world of medieval Bohemia. With its strong focus on realism, detailed environments, and deep role-playing mechanics, the game manages to stand out from many other RPG **** of the game’s biggest strengths is its atmosphere. The forests, villages, and castles are beautifully designed and feel authentic to the medieval setting. The story follows Henry, a simple blacksmith’s son whose life changes dramatically after a tragic event. As the narrative unfolds, players witness Henry’s growth while becoming involved in larger political conflicts and personal struggles.Gameplay focuses heavily on realism. The sword combat system is complex and can be challenging at first, but once mastered it becomes very satisfying. Mechanics such as hunger, sleep, equipment maintenance, and skill progression add depth and reinforce the feeling of living in a harsh medieval world. However, these systems can sometimes feel overwhelming for new players and require patience to fully appreciate. From a technical standpoint, the game occasionally suffers from bugs and minor performance issues. Some animations and quest interactions can feel rough at times, which slightly affects the overall polish of the experience.A very positive development for many players was the addition of Turkish language support. Since the game contains a large amount of dialogue and text, the availability of Turkish localization significantly improves accessibility for Turkish players and allows them to better understand and enjoy the story.Overall, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a memorable and ambitious RPG that rewards players who are willing to invest time into its systems. Its realism, strong atmosphere, and detailed world make it a standout title in the genre. Score: 7/10 – Some technical issues and a steep learning curve prevent it from being perfect, but the immersive world and the addition of Turkish language support make it a highly worthwhile experience.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is bettered by its sequel in every way imaginable, and while the enhanced offering does improve the technical side, it also highlights everything else where Henry's second adventure soars. It's not a bad game, but this release is for the fans only.

Even with the updates and upgrades, Kingdom Come: Deliverance Remaster nowadays feels even older than 2018 and the still-present bugs and glitches do not help. Warhorse can take solace in the fact that it's at least their own sequel that shows so impressively how it is done right.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a role-playing game that deliberately works against conventional convenience mechanics. It demands patience, attention, and a willingness to engage with its systems. Not every decision is perfectly balanced, but the consistent design philosophy gives the game a strong identity. Those looking for an accessible action RPG with rapid progression may find it frustrating. However, those who appreciate a historically grounded, atmospherically rich medieval experience will find this title to be one of the most distinctive role-playing games of recent years. Thanks to the new and, above all, free update, the game has received a significant improvement, and both fans and newcomers will be immediately impressed.
