It promotes gratuitous nudity, reckless disregard for life and limb, vulgar language, crass behavior, and careless attitudes towards the destruction of personal property. And yeah, it's fun.

Just like the show, Jackass: the Game is a guilty pleasure. It’s sophomoric, lowest-common-denominator entertainment to be sure, but that doesn’t keep it from being fun.

Jackass: The Game does deliver a lot of the fun that fans of the TV show have enjoyed, and the overall feel of the game is pretty authentic with rock music blaring at times, goofy cutscenes, amusing antics, and a level of risk and injury that goes way beyond even what the show did.

A few stinkers aside, Jackass is a great bunch of mini-games that capture the essence of the show. [Nov 2007, p.96]

Not a good game, but not a bad game by any means either. A surprisingly entertaining romp of repetitive mini-games that might surprise you by forcing a chuckle out once in awhile.

I like the "Jackass" show. I really do, and I don't like coming down on the video game interpretation of it, but without a true director mode, it lacks depth, and once you get your laughs out of the minigames once or twice, you'll be ready to move on.

As a whole, however, this game wouldn’t necessarily warrant a purchase from anyone but hardcore fans of the Jackass franchise.

In other words it’s not a terrible game, it’s just not a very good value. Either way you spin it, the game reeks with the awesome essence of Jackass.

Despite feeling a little irrelevant in 2007, Jackass: The Game does a decent job of capturing the feel of the show.

Between being based on a show without any new episodes in several years, and having its primary release be on the PlayStation 2, there is an air of irrelevancy to the entire product.
