Add in an epic, bombastic orchestral score by Kevin Riepl (he also worked on Gears of War) and a surprisingly robust and easy-to-use level creation tool and you have one of the better games to be released so far in 2011. Highly Recommended.

Hunted's big failing stems less from what it brings to the table as what it leaves in Diablo's bat-infested cellar. The level editor packs each and every one of the campaign's big tricks into one tidy grid-based package, but it lacks the single player's beguiling sense of mystery.

I would contend that this game has the best cooperative system since 007. That's a hard bargain to drive to the old school Tom Clancy heads but I'll stand my ground! I don't know why it's received such marginal scores; probably the weak marketing attempts by Bethesda.

Hunted: The Demon's Forge doesn't excel in anything in particular and is hindered by noticeabel graphical and AI problems, but it manages to offer a fair amount of fun if played in co-op. We expected much more, but if you like fantasy games you could be willing to give it a chance.

An action game in the Trojan horse of an RPG. There are better co-op experiences, but if you've already played those, Hunted will entertain for a little while.

Whether you see it as a fantasy-slanted Gears homage or a punched-up and streamlined dungeon-crawler, the end result is roughly the same: Hunted is an adequate diversion for co-op aficionados, but little more.

Hunted has potential. It has the art design and spark, but the attempt at a genre hybrid ultimately falls short. Though the idea of a fantasy RPG with a third-person action mentality, from Gears of War or Resident Evil 5, is innovative, it just isn't polished enough to make it work.

A real lazy effort where the much-hyped co-op doesn't do squat.

Positive review = InXile? Stop being a bunch of irrational children and assuming it's somebody it's not. Oh snap, someone likes the game - time to disbelieve and conjure up a childish excuse as to why *YOU* disagree. I bought this game this morning and I'm still having run with the game. Control scheme is pretty seem less and the graphics do not look too bad on a 240hz LED TV. (Seems a little washed out to me) I only wish there a bigger RPG element to the game such as levelling up. I give this game an 8, but with all the people under 13 writing reviews, I'll leave this at 10. Maybe someone else will assume I work for InXile. :)

First off, I'd like anyone reading this reviews to know this is a decent game. If you like a good hack and slash with lite rpg elements and fantastic co-op play give it a chance. To everyone who bags on it for having a bit dated graphics I feel no sympathy for not every game is going to have amazing graphics and if you put graphics ahead of gameplay you are shallow but hey your loss. To anyone who expected one thing and got another you are an idiot, its like saying I expected a elephant but found a zebra so I hate it. As for the game itself its a hack and slash with a small skill tree system and stat building progression based on kills and finding certain things. Each character plays differently and has abilities that reflect their play style. E'lara is the ranged fighter of the pair, and uses a bow to snipe enemies via third-person mode similar to something like Gears of War. Caddoc is the "tank" of the pair and uses a sword and board to dispatch his foes, and also I might add makes a handy decoy. The games story line is pretty cut and dry, their is bad guys doing bad stuff and your getting paid to put them in their place. My only real complaint about the combat system is that the spells are pretty useless and your better off just sticking to your weapons and buy only the weapon based abilities. Ultimately in the end the game could have used a little more polish but overall it makes for a great co-op game if your looking to just mindlessly slash your way through a pretty standard fair hack and slash. This game will never be a big hit, but if you have a weekend to kill and a buddy rent this game or at least wait for a price drop to buy it.

Easily one of the worst games of the year, this glitch-fest is as dull as dungeon crawlers come. With minimal amount of story and character development, poor enemy A.I. and enough glitches to force you to restart checkpoints several times throughout, you can only hope that no one from Bethesda who worked on this game put too much time in Skyrim. Otherwise it could be a rough year overall for on the industry's bigger developers. The only way I would recommend playing this game would be if you got it as a gift and had absolutely nothing else to play. Steer clear in all other cases.
